Everything had been going the Seahawks’ way at SoFi Stadium against the Chargers, until this bit of news.

Wide receiver DK Metcalf was just carted off the field.

Unfortunately, unlike last time this isn’t just a trip to the bathroom.

The team has already ruled Metcalf out for the rest of the game with a knee injury.

We’ll see if any more information comes out during the game, but it’s usually not a great sign when they’re ruled out quickly. It’s difficult to tell what happened to Metcalf – but here is the last play he was on the field for.

Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf was carted off to the locker room in the fourth quarter of his team’s wild road win over the Lions. Metcalf didn’t suffer an injury but was simply being escorted to the bathroom.

After it was all over, Metcalf told reporters he had a “tummy ache” and that the bathrooms at Ford Field are far from the field. Later on Twitter, he further explained that he wouldn’t have made it to the bathroom in time without the assist:

Metcalf finished with seven catches and 149 yards.
