Lynn wins another tournament, remains No. 1 in Mizuno WGCA Division II Coaches Poll

Lynn is once again the top-ranked team in the Div. II coaches poll.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released its first Mizuno WGCA Div. II Coaches Poll for the 2022 spring season.

Lynn picks up where it left off in the fall, as the No. 1-team in the women’s golf rankings. Dallas Baptist is No. 2, Limestone, which received one first-place vote, is No. 3. Nova Southeastern is No. 4 with Anderson and Barry are tied in the No. 5 spot in the poll.

Lynn won its fourth tournament of the 2021-22 season earlier this week at Grasslands Golf and Country Club in Lakeland, Florida, at the Lady Moc. Lynn finished 5 over to win by eight shots. Alice Gatti finished tied for second behind Saint Leo’s Francesca Santoni. Lynn had four players in all finish in the top-10.

The WGCA has released its third women’s coaches poll of the season, and Lynn is the newest No. 1-ranked team in the Division II poll.

The Knights received 12 first-place votes, while Limestone University received one first-place vote to move up four spots to No. 2. Dallas Baptist, the defending Division II national champions, comes in at No. 3 with two first-place votes, followed by Barry University and University of Findlay at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the second poll of the 2021 fall season.

Dallas Baptist remains No. 1 in Division II. DBU received all but one first-place vote, while Lynn received the remaining first-place vote to hold steady at No. 2. Indianapolis remains at No. 3, while Anderson and Barry enter the top five at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

About the Women’s Golf Coaches Association

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Another sign college golf is close? The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has released the results of the 2021-22 Preseason WGCA Coaches Poll.

Opening at No. 1 in Division II is defending NCAA Champion Dallas Baptist University, who received 13 first-place votes, while 2021 runner-up Lynn University received the remaining first-place vote to come in at No. 2. DBU won its first national title in program history last spring.

University of Indianapolis opens the season at No. 3, followed by Limestone University and St. Mary’s University at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

Dallas Baptist still tops WGCA Division II Coaches Poll, Lynn ranks No. 2

Lynn managed to knock of Dallas Baptist at its own event earlier this month, but DBU remains at the top of the Division III Coaches Poll.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has released its second spring coaches poll, and the top spot didn’t change. Dallas Baptist continues its domination of Division II.

Dallas Baptist University remains No. 1 in Division II after receiving all but one first-place vote. The Patriots were on a 10-tournament winning streak (dating to last season) until Lynn finally managed to top them by eight shots at its own Lynn Women’s Invitational.

Speaking of Lynn, the Knights move up to the No. 2 spot after receiving the remaining vote. Limestone University climbs to No. 3, with University of Indianapolis trailing by one point to take the No. 4 spot. University of Tampa rounds out the top-five after jumping 12 spots.

Dallas Baptist tops WGCA Division II Coaches Poll to start the spring

In Division II, Dallas Baptist University claims the No. 1 spot on the WGCA Coaches Poll with all but two first-place votes.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has released its first spring coaches poll.

In Division II, Dallas Baptist University claimed the No. 1 spot with all but two first-place votes. Dallas Baptist won all three of its fall tournament starts, and will kick off its spring March 1 at the Kiawah Island Classic.

Indianapolis trails closely behind at No. 2 after receiving the remaining votes. The Hounds also played three times in the fall and won all their starts. Indy will kick off the spring March 14 at the Emerald Coast Classic.

Limestone University sits at No. 3, while University of Findlay and Nova Southeastern University rank No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

Nova Southeastern takes top spot in Division II WGCA Coaches Poll

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released its first poll of the spring season and Nova Southeastern is on top.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released its first poll of the spring season.

Among Division II teams, Nova Southeastern claims the No. 1 spot with six first-place votes, while Indianapolis trails by just two points to rank No. 2 with three first-place votes. That’s essentially a flip-flop from the final poll of the fall season, which Indianapolis led with nine first-place votes.

Nova Southeastern, located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, has played twice already this spring, winning both starts. Indianapolis starts its spring season next month.

Dallas Baptist sits at No. 3, while Rollins and Tampa rank No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
