Dez Bryant shows love for Oregon Ducks 5-star WR Dakorien Moore

Oregon Ducks 5-star WR Dakorien Moore turned heads on Saturday, and elicited a strong reaction from Dallas Cowboys legend Dez Bryant.

Former Dallas Cowboys legend Dez Bryant took to social media on Saturday afternoon to let Oregon Duck fans that they got an incredibly talented player with the signing of 5-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore in the 2025 class.

As if Oregon fans didn’t already know.

It was a play from Moore in the Texas High School Football semifinals that caught Bryant’s attention, though, with the No. 1 WR in the 2025 class doing what he has done so many times this year — taking the ball to the house after catching it in space and making a number of defenders miss in highlight fashion.

@Oregonfootball I’m at the game and I just saw DKM do some crazy shit for 6.. y’all got 1 for sure!” Bryant said on social media.

For those wondering what exactly it was that Moore did on the field to elicit that type of response from a three-time NFL Pro Bowler, you can see it here.

Moore was the No. 1 WR in the 2205 class for a reason, and it’s plays like this that he made all season that makes it clear he is among the best players to ever sign with the Ducks.

As a true freshman, there is an expectation that Moore will immediate step in and contend for a starting spot in the offense, much like Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith, or Alabama’s Ryan Williams in 2024.

Former Cowboys WR Dez Bryant has bold take about Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa

Former #Cowboys WR Dez Bryant tweeted a bold take about #Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa during Miami’s loss to the #Bills on Thursday night.

The Miami Dolphins lost their Week 2 matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night, but their defeat at the hands of a division rival wasn’t necessarily the worst part of the game for fans in South Flordia.

Instead, much of the talk about the matchup’s outcome was centered around Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who was concussed after running head-first into Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin.

Tagovailoa has developed a history of sustaining concussions since entering the NFL in 2020, and while he is one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the league, some former players are growing concerned about his long-term health.

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant took to Twitter on Thursday night and made his thoughts on the matter clear:

Though it seems unlikely that he will take Bryant’s advice and retire, Tagovailoa will be under the microscope of fans and the media moving forward as debates about the ethics of his ongoing participation continue through the rest of the season.

LOOK: Motion graphic tracking Emmitt Smith, Dez Bryant, Michael Irvin ascend Cowboys all-time TD chart over time

An interesting look at the Cowboys’ all-time TD leaderboard.

There’s no NFL organization quite as great as the Dallas Cowboys… just ask Jerry Jones. Seriously though, over the years the Cowboys have had a remarkable run of top-shelf skill position players who have earned they way into the history books. The Cowboys have a whopping 30 players or coaches currently enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH and many of them are there for their ability to get the ball in the end zone.

Related, the club’s 64-year history has seen a steady stream of players move in and out of the franchise’s all-time touchdown leaderboard over the years. There are quite a few outlets where one can look through those names, but why limit the fun? Content creator Greg Harvey (@BetweenTheNums on Twitter/X) has produced a motion graphic showing the fluidity of the team’s leaderboard over the years.

From Frank Clarke to Bob Hayes to Tony Dorsett to Emmitt Smith, with Michael Irvin and Dez Bryant getting their time near the top… it’s a laundry list of who’s who among pass catchers and running backs in the organization. Check it out below.

Dez Bryant takes notice of Patriots WR Javon Baker’s highlight play

This is content nobody expected

New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Javon Baker hasn’t even been in training camp for two weeks, and former All-Pro wideout Dez Bryant is already analyzing his game.

Bryant responded to a video of Baker’s one-on-one rep at training camp practice when he drew oohs and ahhs from the crowd after juking past a defender. The video was shared by SCOUTD but originally posted by Patriots on CLNS Media.

“The wideout first step was a slight out hard inside to get the defender to move off his spot… he reset the stem to control the defender to win on the slant,” Bryant posted on X.

New England is hoping to see more of these kinds of plays from Baker on the field during the regular season. They have struggled in recent years drafting and developing receivers.

ESPN’s Mike Clay even ranked the unit dead last out of 32 teams in his 2024 projections.

Baker has the potential to develop into a legitimate No. 1 option, which is something the Patriots have needed for years.

Along with K.J. Osborn, Ja’Lynn Polk and DeMario Douglas, Baker is part of the new wave of talent looking to silence the doubters and change the narrative surrounding Patriots’ receivers.

Former NFL star Dez Bryant with high praise for Titans WR Treylon Burks

Dez Bryant likes what he sees from Titans WR Treylon Burks.

In two NFL seasons, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks has just 49 receptions for 665 yards and one touchdown — in 21 career games.

To say the No. 18 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft is entering a make-or-break would be an understatement. This offseason, the Titans, tired of waiting for Burks to become a quality starting wide receiver, paid big money to Calvin Ridley in free agency and followed that up by also signing Tyler Boyd.

Two other things going against Burks: General manager Ran Carthon arrived one year after the Titans drafted Burks. Secondly, the Titans hired a new head coach this offseason (Brian Callahan) who has no investment in Burks.

Burks is in a similar position as cornerback Caleb Farley, minus the injuries.

A week into training camp, Burks’s performance has opened some eyes. One rep shared on social media caught the attention of former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant.

The former Dallas star was impressed.

The Titans are in a good position with Burks. They’ve added enough talent around him to not be dependent on him in 2024. Currently, Burks is Tennessee’s No. 4 wideout behind Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, and Boyd. However, Burks’ combination of size and athleticism could help take the Titans’ offense to another level.

Rays’ Pete Fairbanks made the perfect Dez Bryant joke after Jose Caballero game-ending catch questions

Was it a catch? Umpires said it was. So of course there had to be a “Dez caught it” joke.

The MLB got it’s own version of “what is a catch?” like it was the NFL.

On Thursday, with Gleyber Torres at the plate, and a pair of New York Yankees on first and third with two outs, he hit a shallow fly ball to center field. If that ball drops, the Yankees tie the game at five.

But it didn’t. Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Jose Caballero caught it with an unreal over-the-shoulder grab … but as he was celebrating, the ball popped out.

Was it a catch? If this was the NFL, you might argue no. But umpires said yes, and the game was over.

So of course Pete Fairbanks — the pitcher on the mound when that happened — had to make a “Dez caught it” joke:

Perfect.

Former NFL WR believes Raiders TE Brock Bowers has HOF potential

Dez Bryant says former UGA TE Brock Bowers has NFL HOF potential…

Brock Bowers is a top-5 NFL draft pick, at least that’s what was expected heading into the 2023 season.

Bowers had just come off a second-consecutive All-American season and took also home his first Mackey Award. He went on to accomplish both of those feats as a junior, appearing to lock down one of the top spots in the 2024 NFL draft.

It’s unclear whether Bowers’ drop to No. 13 overall to the Las Vegas Raiders was due to his surgically repaired ankle, or how the NFL valued tight ends in a loaded draft class at the most coveted positions. While it’s a reach to tab a No. 13 overall pick as a potential “steal”, Bowers could be exactly that for the Raiders.

Former NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant already considers Bowers as tight end with Hall of Fame potential.

“I think (Bowers) was probably was (a) top-three talent coming out of that draft,” Bryant said on Vegas Sports Today. “He’s a Hall of Fame tight end. He’s got that type of ability, so hopefully, the Raiders go out there and use him right.”

In three years at UGA, Bowers racked up an outstanding 175 receptions for 2,538 yards and 26 receiving touchdowns. He also added 19 rushing attempts for 193 yards and five scores on the ground. Bowers is the only player in history to win the Mackey Award, given to the nation’s top tight end, twice.

Dez Bryant applauds Chiefs’ signing of WR Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown

Former Pro Bowler Dez Bryant applauded the #Chiefs’ signing of WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown in a post to Twitter.

The Kansas City Chiefs excited many in the football world with their one-year agreement with free agent wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown.

One of the many spectators who have thoughts on the signing was former Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant, who posted on social media about his excitement and appreciation for Kansas City’s latest move in free agency.

Bryant was a teammate of Brown’s during the 2020 season when both of the wide receivers played for the Baltimore Ravens. After officially signing with the Chiefs, Brown immediately reposted Bryant on X, showing the respect the former teammates still have for one another.

Bryant played ten seasons in the NFL, earning three Pro Bowl selections during his time with the Dallas Cowboys. In retirement, Bryant has become a vocal fan, posting to social media about anything and everything related to NFL football and sharing his thoughts about each team’s decisions with fans during the offseason.

Dez Bryant accepted DeSean Jackson’s $10,000 bet on Cowboys-Eagles by counting out the money

Dez Bryant and DeSean Jackson have big money riding on Eagles-Cowboys.

Dez Bryant is on a roll, and he’s not ready to leave the table now.

After betting $10,000 on the Dallas Cowboys’ win over the Seattle Seahawks last week, he’s prepared to take another $10,000 bet on Dallas. This time, though, the bet came via challenge from another former NFC East wide receiver.

Even after the Philadelphia Eagles were blown out by the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, DeSean Jackson jumped on X to tell Bryant to get his money ready for this week’s game between the Cowboys and Eagles. Bryant accepted the bet by counting out his money in a video response.
