Auburn lands JUCO OT Seth Wilfred

Auburn has dipped into the JUCO ranks to land a promising offenisve tackle in Seth Wilfred.

It didn’t take long for JUCO offensive lineman [autotag]Seth Wilfred[/autotag] to decide Auburn was the school for him after his official visit, announcing his commitment to the Tigers on Monday.

Wilfred spent just one season at Snow College before he started earning offers from FBS schools, including Auburn, Iowa State and Houston. Current Auburn defensive back [autotag]Keionte Scott[/autotag] also spent time at Snow College before coming to the Plains.

Originally from Nebraska, Wilfred did not play much as a senior after transferring to Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas. This caused him to go the JUCO route and he could need some time to develop before he is ready to see the field for Auburn. The good news is he has three seasons of eligibility remaining and can also redshirt a season if needed.

He is Auburn’s 20th commit overall and the second along the offensive line in the 2024 cycle, joining four-star [autotag]DeAndre Carter[/autotag]. Auburn’s class now ranks 11th in the 247Sports team rankings.

Auburn is the favorite to land elite IOL Coen Echols

Coen Echols backed off his Texas A&M commitment on Friday and Auburn has emerged as the favorite.

Auburn has been pursuing four-star offensive lineman [autotag]Coen Echols[/autotag] for quite some time and those efforts could be paying off.

Echols backed off his Texas A&M commitment on Friday, saying his recruitment is “100% open.” The Katy, Texas product is one of Auburn’s top remaining targets in the 2024 recruiting cycle and has taken several trips to the Plains, officially visiting back in June and returning for the Iron Bowl.

After the Aggies moved on from head coach Jimbo Fisher, the Tigers emerged as a key player in his recruitment and they are now the favorite to land the 6-foot-3, 285-pounder when he signs with a program in December.

Following his decommitment, predictions poured in for him to commit to Auburn. Both Christian Clemente and Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports logged crystal balls in Auburn’s favor on Friday. They were soon joined by On3’s Cole Pinkston, Jeffrey Lee and Sam Spiegelman, giving them a 96.7% chance to land Echols using the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Echols is the No. 285 overall player and No. 17 interior offensive lineman in the 247Sports composite ranking. He is also the No. 48 player from Texas.

Auburn currently has one commit along the offensive line, four-star interior offensive lineman [autotag]DeAndre Carter[/autotag].

Auburn surging for key offensive tackle target

Auburn has been recruiting Favour Edwin for quite some time and that work could be paying off soon.

[autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] has Auburn recruiting at the level needed to compete in the SEC but there is still one glaring weakness in Auburn’s 2024 recruiting class, their lack of commitments along the offensive line.

Currently, four-star [autotag]DeAndre Carter[/autotag] is Auburn’s only pledge along the offensive line but that could be changing soon as the Tigers are surging in their pursuit of three-star offensive tackle [autotag]Favour Edwin[/autotag].

Edwin is originally from Nigeria but currently lives in McDonough, Georgia and despite playing football for just one season, has earned over a dozen scholarship offers.

He has taken several trips to Auburn this season with his most recent one being for the Iron Bowl. Following that trip, the Tigers are now the overwhelming favorites to land the 6-foot-6, 300-pounder.

Both Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports and On3’s Keith Niebuhr cast predictions for Edwin to commit to Auburn on Sunday. The Tigers have now received all five predictions to land Edwin between the two sites.

Edwin is the No. 793 overall player and No. 60 offensive tackle in the 247Sports composite ranking. He is also the No. 93 player from Georgia.

2026 OL Kail Ellis announces commitment to Auburn

Auburn’s 2026 recruiting class is off to a great start with the addition of the offensive lineman from Georgia.

It is never too early to begin building for the future.

Hugh Freeze and Auburn football landed a big commitment on Thursday in [autotag]Kail Ellis[/autotag], a member of the 2026 class from Cass High School in White, Georgia.

Due to his graduating year, he has not yet received a ranking from 247Sports, On3, or Rivals, but his size alone should have Auburn fans feeling excited. He stands 6-4, 285-pounds with two more seasons of varsity football ahead of him.

According to 247Sports, Auburn was the eighth program to extend an offer to Ellis, doing so on June 8. Since receiving an offer from Auburn, he has received an offer from five other programs including College Football Playoff contenders Florida State and Georgia.

Ellis recently told Jason Caldwell of Auburn Undercover that he feels that Auburn has the best chance to develop him as a lineman.

“What Coach (Hugh) Freeze, Coach (Jake) Thornton and that staff has going on is so special and I wanted to be a part of it,” Ellis said in a recent interview with Auburn Undercover. “I feel Auburn can develop me more than anyone, academically and as a football player.”

Ellis becomes the first member of Auburn’s 2026 commitment class. Auburn currently has one offensive line commitment for its 2024 haul in [autotag]DeAndre Carter[/autotag], and one in its 2025 class in Spencer Dowland. Auburn currently has a top 25 class for both the 2024 and 2025 cycles, and Ellis’ commitment is a great way for the trend to continue in 2026.

Auburn commit DeAndre Carter ‘can’t wait’ to attend the Iron Bowl

He is one of several Auburn commits who will be in Jordan-Hare Stadium for the Iron Bowl.

[autotag]DeAndre Carter[/autotag] is not only one of the top offensive line recruits in the country, he is also one of Auburn’s most important commits.

After years of poor recruiting on the offensive line, the new staff is looking to change that and provided some much-needed proof of concept when they landed the four-star prospect over Texas.

The Santa Anna, California prospect has taken several trips to the Plains but this weekend will be his first chance to watch Auburn play in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

“I can’t wait, I’ve heard it’s a crazy atmosphere for sure,” Carter told Greg Biggins of 247Sports. “This will be my first game at Auburn so I’m excited and really looking forward to it.

Auburn secured a commitment from Carter in September but the Texas Longhorns never stopped recruiting him. Auburn was able to survive the push and he recently reaffirmed his commitment to the Tigers.

“I still feel great about my commitment to Auburn,” he told Biggins. “It was a tough decision but I really connected with the coaches well and that was big for me.”

Carter is the No. 131 overall player and No. 5 interior offensive lineman in the 247Sports composite ranking. He is also the No. 14 player from California.

Four 2024 commits pledge to play in All-American Bowl

Several of Auburn’s talented 2024 commits will get the chance to showcase their talents in front of a national audience this January.

Early signing day is approaching, and several of Auburn’s top commitments for the 2024 class have pledged to participate in an All-Star game this upcoming January.

The All-American Bowl, which is set to take place on Saturday, January 6 in San Antonio, Texas, has invited four of Auburn’s highest-rated 2024 commitments to play. It will be the first chance to see four-star quarterback [autotag]Walker White[/autotag], four-star offensive lineman [autotag]DeAndre Carter[/autotag], four-star linebacker [autotag]Demarcus Riddick[/autotag], and four-star safety [autotag]Kensley Faustin[/autotag] on the same field.

White, Carter, and Riddick are all in the top 15 of their respective positions while Faustin ranks as high as No. 35 among safeties in the 2024 cycle.

There is a possibility that this list could expand, as Auburn targets [autotag]KJ Bolden[/autotag], [autotag]Ny Carr[/autotag], and [autotag]Zaquan Patterson[/autotag] are also set to play in the game.

The game, which will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, will kick off at 12 p.m. CT on Saturday, January 6. The game can be seen live on NBC.

DeAndre Carter confirms commitment to Auburn, sets return visit

Texas had been pushing to flip the four-star offensive lineman.

Four-star offensive lineman [autotag]DeAndre Carter[/autotag] is one of Auburn’s most important recruits and one they have fought to hold onto.

The Texas Longhorns made a push for the Santa Anna, California product and even hosted him for an official visit on Sept. 30. Adding even more pressure, his teammate and fellow offensive lineman Brandon Baker committed to the Longhorns ahead of the visit.

While a flip was a possibility, Carter took to social media and doubled down on his commitment to the Tigers and seemed to end those chances.

“Excited to be headed to the Iron Bowl!!!!,” he tweeted. “Staying home!!! 100 percent committed to Auburn!!!”

The visit will be his third to the Plains and his first time checking out a game inside Jordan-Hare Stadium. Carter is the No. 133 overall player and No. 5 interior offensive lineman in the 247Sports composite ranking. He is also the No. 5 player from California.

The 6-foot-4, 330-pounder has the ability to play tackle or guard at the next level and is Auburn’s only commit along the offensive line in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Auburn cracks top five for key offensive tackle target Favour Edwin

The massive offensive tackle has taken multiple visits to Auburn this season.

Auburn is among the finalists for offensive tackle [autotag]Favour Edwin[/autotag].

The three-star prospect is one of Auburn’s top targets along the offensive line and he is down to Auburn, Florida, Clemson, Alabama and Georgia Tech.

This is Edwin’s first season playing football and while he has the size (6-foot-6, 300 pounds) and athleticism to play offensive tackle, he is raw and will need time to develop.

Edwin officially visited Auburn to watch the Georgia game and then returned to watch the Tigers play Ole Miss. The McDonough, Georgia native has visited each of his finalists and will officially visit the Gators this weekend when they host Arkansas.

[autotag]DeAndre Carter[/autotag] is Auburn’s only commit along the offensive line in the 2024 cycle, but the Texas Longhorns are pushing to flip the four-star prospect and the battle is far from over.

Edwin is the No. 792 overall player and No. 60 offensive tackle in the 247Sports composite ranking. He is also the No. 93 player from Georgia.

5 Raiders offensive players on pace for career-low seasons

5 Raiders offensive players on pace for career-low seasons

We are eight games into the 2023 season. Once upon a time, this would have been the halfway mark, giving us a strong sample size as to what pace each player is on.

When you look at the numbers for some of the Raiders players on offense, you can see why the team moved on from their supposed offensive guru head coach Josh McDaniels.

Auburn offers 3-star OT committed to Oregon State

Rustin Young has been committed to Oregon Sate since July but Auburn is hoping to change his mind.

Auburn is casting a wide net as they look to land more offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class. The Tigers extended an offer to [autotag]Rustin Young[/autotag], a three-star offensive tackle from Honolulu, Hawaii, on Thursday.

Young committed to Oregon State on July 15 and Auburn is the first SEC program to extend him an offer. The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder is set to compete in the 2024 Under Armour All-America Game.

He is the No. 645 overall player and No. 52 offensive tackle in the 247Sports composite ranking. He is also the No. 3 player from Hawaii.

While offensive line coach [autotag]Jake Thorton[/autotag] is his primary recruiter and extended the offer, tight end coach [autotag]Ben Aigamaua[/autotag] is also helping recruit him. Aigamaua is from American Samoa and the duo has had success in landing offensive linemen from the West Coast.

[autotag]DeAndre Carter,[/autotag] Auburn’s only offensive line commit, is from Santa Anna, California.
