Analyzing final Vikings injury report vs. Saints

The Vikings are getting healthier heading into the stretch run

The Minnesota Vikings are set to take on the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon with Josh Dobbs getting his first start for the franchise.

The final injury report is out and the Vikings injury report is extensive.

Vikings release inactives for Week 9 vs. Falcons

Christian Darrisaw highlights the Vikings inactive list

The Minnesota Vikings have released their inactive list for their week nine matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.

  • LT Christian Darrisaw
  • ILB Brian Asamoah II
  • TE Nick Muse
  • RB Kene Nwangwu
  • S Lewis Cine
  • WR Jalen Nailor
  • DE Dean Lowry

The Vikings will be without Darrisaw for the second week this season. He dressed but didn’t play against the Philadelphia Eagles. Darrisaw injured his groin during practice this week.

Asamoah misses his second consecutive game with an ankle injury.

Muse continues to be inactive, as he hasn’t been active all season.

Nwangwu and Nailor are still out with their respective injuries.

Cine being inactive is a very frustrating one because of his draft capital.

The game kicks off at noon.

Analyzing final Vikings injury report vs. Falcons

The final injury report for the Minnesota Vikings matchup with the Atlanta Falcons has been released with multiple players out

The Minnesota Vikings are set to take on the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon with quarterback Jaren Hall getting his first start in the NFL.

The injury report for both teams is out and is much cleaner for the Vikings than it is their counterparts.

Vikings injury report for Thusday vs. Falcons

Thursday’s injury report saw a few minor changes

The Minnesota Vikings have released their injury report for Thursday ahead of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. All seven players on the report saw no changes in designation from Wednesday.

  • DE Dean Lowry (groin): Did not practice
  • ILB Brian Asamoah II (ankle): Limited
  • CB Akayleb Evans (neck): Limited
  • WR K.J. Osborn (chest): Limited
  • WR Brandon Powell (foot): Full
  • WR Jalen Nailor (hamstring): Full

Lowry being the only DNP right now is a concern for Sunday. Even if he is a limited participant in practice on Friday, the expectation is likely that he won’t play.

The Falcons saw quarterback Desmond Ridder removed from the injury report after having been evaluated for a concussion against the Tennesse Titans. He will backup Taylor Heinicke on Sunday. Wide receiver Drake London once again didn’t practice with a groin injury.

Friday’s injury report will tell us a lot more about if these players will play on Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons also had eight players with injury designations on Wednesday, including wide receiver Drake London not practicing with a groin.

Vikings DE Dean Lowry ruled out with groin injury

Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Dean Lowry has been downgraded to out versus the Green Bay Packers with a groin injury.

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Dean Lowry has been downgraded to out for the remainder of the game. Lowry was injured in the first half of the game versus the Green Bay Packers and was initially ruled questionable. After a re-evaluation at halftime, the Vikings have officially ruled him out for the rest of the game.

Minnesota went into halftime with a 10-3 and start the second half on offense, but the Packers have been a second-half team as of late. Lowry’s absence may loom large as the Packers try and make a second-half comeback.

With Lowry out, the onus is going to fall on the rest of the Vikings defensive line to continue their outstanding play. Both Danielle Hunter and DJ Wonnum have already made their presence felt today. They’ll need to continue that without the help of Lowry to take some of the pressure off them.

Vikings Dean Lowry questionable to return vs. Packers

Vikings defensive tackle Dean Lowry is questionable to return to the game vs. the Green Bay Packers after suffering a groin injury.

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Dean Lowry is questionable to return to the game vs. the Green Bay Packers with a groin injury. Lowry was injured early in the second quarter.

The Vikings’ defense has been firing on all cylinders in the first half against the Packers, holding the offense to under 30 yards of offense and without a first down to this point. We’ll have to see how the absence of Lowry affects defensive coordinator Brian Flores and his ability to be flexible with the offense.

This week is a revenge game for Lowry, as he spent the first seven years of his career in Green Bay. Certainly not the return he was hoping for. We’ll update you further if Lowry’s injury status changes throughout the game.

Stock up, Stock down for Vikings loss vs. Chiefs

Who saw their stock rise and fall after Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs?

The Minnesota Vikings fought until the bitter end but it wasn’t enough as they ultimately fell to the Kansas City Chiefs 27-20.

Once Minnesota fell behind early, it never felt that they were going to make up the ground to beat Kansas City. There were opportunities to be had that the Vikings will want back but overall this team competed well with a Super Bowl contender in the Chiefs.

However, with the injury to Justin Jefferson, things seem bleak for a Vikings team that is struggling coming out of the gate.

Amid a gritty performance from Minnesota, there were still some positives to take away and a few negatives for them to discuss next week.
