Vikings DE Dean Lowry ruled out with groin injury

Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Dean Lowry has been downgraded to out versus the Green Bay Packers with a groin injury.

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Dean Lowry has been downgraded to out for the remainder of the game. Lowry was injured in the first half of the game versus the Green Bay Packers and was initially ruled questionable. After a re-evaluation at halftime, the Vikings have officially ruled him out for the rest of the game.

Minnesota went into halftime with a 10-3 and start the second half on offense, but the Packers have been a second-half team as of late. Lowry’s absence may loom large as the Packers try and make a second-half comeback.

With Lowry out, the onus is going to fall on the rest of the Vikings defensive line to continue their outstanding play. Both Danielle Hunter and DJ Wonnum have already made their presence felt today. They’ll need to continue that without the help of Lowry to take some of the pressure off them.
