Detroit Lions RB D’Andre Swift heads into his second NFL season looking to improve upon his rookie production. Below, we look at D’Andre Swift‘s 2021 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.
Swift made his way into 13 games last season. He gained plenty of confidence as the season roared on for the Lions, while becoming a rather frequent visitor to the end zone down the stretch. He also showed tremendous hands out of the backfield.
As such, those fantasy owners in PPR formats are particularly interested in what he can do in 2021.
Swift’s ADP: No. 42 overall

Swift ranks 42nd in ADP overall, while checking in 18th among all running backs.
In PPR leagues, he is 17th among all backs. That seems criminally low based upon his tremendous hands out of the backfield. There are some rookies ranked above him, and I’d rather take a guy I’ve actually seen in an NFL game before rolling the dice on a first-year player.

Where should you take Swift in your fantasy football draft?
In standard redraft leagues, Swift should be taken near the turn at the end of Round 4 or beginning of Round 5 based upon the current ADP trends.
He improved as the season went on in 2020, and with a more normal offseason program and more practice time with his team and coaches this summer, he should be able to easily exceed last season’s production.
As far as PPR formats, he should not fall anywhere past the late third round or early fourth round. He was targeted 57 times last season, hauling in 46 receptions for 357 yards and two scores. He’ll have plenty of time this summer to jell with new QB Jared Goff, who will enjoy working with the talented tailback.
