The KINGS (+180) are attractive live dogs at home, with a chance to nearly double up if they can pick up the victory. I think the Mavericks are too dinged up, with three key players nursing injuries.

Against the spread (ATS)

If you’re not quite feeling the home side straight up, take the KINGS +5.5 (-110) catching two buckets at home.

The Mavericks are just 2-5 ATS in their past seven games as favorites, and 0-4 ATS in their past four games against losing teams. On the flip side, the Kings are 3-1-1 ATS in their past five games, and 4-1 ATS in their past five against winning teams.

The LAKERS +2 (-110) play doesn’t make a ton of sense, as it’s better to just bet them straight up on the money line for a better value. But if you feel the Mavericks -2 (-110) are going to win by one for the L.A. cover, or two for the push, have at it.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 217.5 (-110) is the play in this game. L.A. has hit the Over in four of the past five on the road, and four of the last five as an underdog. They’re also hitting the Over at a 6-2 clip across the past eight, now they get A.D. back.

“LEAN” to the KINGS +8.5 (-110) for .75 units because Holmes has the second-best on-off net rating in Sacramento’s starting 5, and of course, the Kings are awful.

However, the Mavericks haven’t been impressive vs. weaker competition this season. For instance, Dallas is 6-9 ATS when laying more than 5 points and 2-9 at home vs. teams with a losing record.

Furthermore, Sacramento is 25th in net rating, but according to CleaningTheGlass.com, Dallas is 20th in net efficiency and has the second-to-last ATS margin (minus-3.7 points) vs. teams in the bottom-10 of net efficiency.

Finally, according to Pregame.com, nearly 95% of the money wagered at the time of publishing has been on the Mavs to cover and, simply put, 95% of sports bets do not cash. This lopsided of a market is ripe for fading.

TAKE KINGS +8.5 (-110) for .75 units.

Over/Under (O/U)

“LEAN” to the UNDER 230.5 (-110) for a quarter unit because I prefer the side more than the total in Kings-Mavericks.

That being said, the “sharp” side of the market likes a low-scoring game as more money has been wagered on the Under while more bets have been placed with the Over, according to Pregame.com.

Typically, the “sharp” side of the market is considered the money column whereas the “average joe” makes up the tickets column.

Also, the Kings have gone Under in five of their eight games in April and the Mavs have gone Under in six of nine this month.

The Knicks have the third-best ATS record in the league 34-21-1 ATS. They have covered the spread in seven straight games. Since March 13, they are 14-4 ATS. Dallas has failed to cover the spread in four of its last five and 26-28 ATS overall. Take the KNICKS +5.5 (-110) if you’re not convinced they’re going to win outright, as this line provides some insurance but doesn’t have nearly as profitable of a return.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET MAVERICKS -3 (-110) for 1 unit because they match up very well with the Grizzlies.

Memphis is ranked first or second in several miscellaneous areas such as points off turnovers, second-chance points, fast-break points and paint points per game.

But, Dallas is above average defensively in these areas while allowing the fifth-fewest paint points per game and the third-fewest points off of turnovers per game.

Also, the Mavs do a good job defending what the Grizzlies do frequently. Memphis attempts the fifth-highest volume of mid-range shots, and Dallas is 10th in defensive field goal shooting in mid-range attempts, according to CleaningTheGlass.com.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 225.5 (-110) for a half-unit because the “sharp” side of the market (the money column of the betting splits) is on the total while the bets placed column is nearly a 50-50 split, according to Pregame.com.

Furthermore, we discussed already how Dallas’ defense could possibly frustrate Memphis’ offense here, but the Grizzlies defense can be stingy and the Mavs have the 26th-ranked pace of play.

The Philadelphia 76ers (36-17) stop by American Airlines Center Monday for a 7:30 p.m. ET game with the host Dallas Mavericks (29-23). Below, we analyze the 76ers-Mavericks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Philadelphia has alternated between winning and losing over the last five games with the latest being a 117-93 blowout victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday. The Sixers are 4-3 straight up and 3-4 against the spread in the past two weeks.

Dallas has also been inconsistent lately, losing two of its last three games, including a 119-117 loss to the San Antonio Spurs Sunday as a 6-point home favorite. Over the past two weeks, the Mavs are 6-2 straight up and ATS with a victory over the first-place Utah Jazz last Monday.

The Sixers broke a three-game losing skid to the Mavs earlier this season by routing them 111-97 Feb. 25, but Dallas was without starting PF Kristaps Porzingis. Also, the Mavs covered the spread in five straight head-to-head matchups prior to the February loss.

PASS with a slight “lean” toward the 76ers (-150) but it’s a little out of my price range for an NBA regular-season money line favorite.

As always, wait until as close to tip-off as possible for any important injury news, but as long as Sixers All-Stars Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid play then Philly is the right side.

Against the spread (ATS)

Simmons has done a masterful job defending Mavs All-Star PG Luka Doncic when they’ve faced each other.

Doncic is averaging just 17.3 points per game on .318/.294/.679 shooting with 6.7 assists and 4.0 turnovers per game in his three career meetings vs. Simmons.

Also, Embiid has significantly outplayed Porzingis in their three meetings; Embiid averages 9.3 more points per game, 6.7 more rebounds per game and is holding Porzingis to 39.6% shooting (28.6% from three).

Finally, according to CleaningTheGlass.com, Dallas is 8-10 overall with minus-2.9 points per 100 possessions and a minus-2.4-point ATS margin vs. top-10 teams in net efficiency.

BET 76ERS -3 (-110) for 1 unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

Slight “LEAN” to the OVER 218.5 (-115) for a quarter-unit because the total has been steamed down from the 225.5-point opener due to all the action on the Under.

That’s too much line movement to not fade regardless of what the recent trends say.

Previewing Sunday’s San Antonio Spurs at Dallas Mavericks NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The San Antonio Spurs (24-26) visit in-state rival Dallas Mavericks (29-22) for an 8 p.m. ET game at American Airlines Center. Below, we analyze the Spurs-Mavericks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The sinking Spurs have lost five in a row and six of their last seven (2-5 against the spread) including back-to-back losses to the Denver Nuggets entering Sunday.

San Antonio is ninth in the Western Conference, with a half-game lead over the 10-seed Golden State Warriors, and two games in front of the 11th-place New Orleans Pelicans.

The Mavericks are heading in the opposite direction as the Spurs winning six of their last seven games (6-1 ATS) with recent victories over the Milwaukee Bucks and Utah Jazz.

Dallas is jostling for playoff positioning in hopes of avoiding the Western Conference play-in tournament and is seventh, 2.5 games back of the 6-seed Portland Trail Blazers.

Dallas is 2-0 overall and ATS this season against San Antonio and Mavs All-Star Luka Doncic has torn up the Spurs this year.

In the two Spurs-Mavericks games this season, Luka is averaging 29.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 11.5 assists per game.

The MAVERICKS -6 (-110) just match up too well with the Spurs. Dallas attempts the fifth-most 3-pointers per game and San Antonio has the 26th-ranked defensive 3-point percentage.

The Mavs also do a good job defending what the Spurs do frequently. San Antonio attempts the third-highest volume of midrange shots, but Dallas is eighth in defensive midrange shooting percentage, according to CleaningTheGlass.com.

Finally, the Spurs struggle against good teams, and the Mavericks have the ninth-best net rating in the Association.

San Antonio is 4-12 overall with minus-8.9 points per 100 possessions differential and the 21st-ranked ATS margin (according to CleaningTheGlass.com).

Over/Under (O/U)

Slight “LEAN” to the UNDER 220.5 (-110) for a half-unit only because we are arriving at the party a little late as this total opened at 222.

Curiously enough, way more money and bets have been placed with the Over than the Under, so bookmakers moving the total down would suggest the House wants more Over action.

Both teams play at a below-average pace and the Under has cashed in four of the last five Mavericks-Spurs contests.
