WATCH: Cowboys rook CeeDee Lamb scores first TD to answer Browns trick play

Cowboys rookie wide receiver Cee Dee Lamb catches first touch down of his career

Welcome to the scoring column, CeeDee Lamb. It looks like there’s going to be another shootout for the Cowboys early in the 2020 season.

After the Dallas Cowboys went three and out on their first series the Cleveland Browns wasted no time attacking the Cowboys banged up secondary.

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry hit fellow wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. on a trick reverse pass play for a score to put the Browns up. Once again, safety Darian Thompson was victimized for a big play. The extra point was good and the Cowboys find themselves down early 7-0.

The Cowboys responded quickly on their next drive though. After getting some breathing room thanks to a successful screen play to running back Ezekiel Elliott, quarterback Dak Prescott hit rookie wide receiver CeeDee Lamb for a 43-yard touchdown strike down the middle of the field. This time it was the Browns with the blown coverage.

Cowboys center Joe Looney leaves with leg injury

Starting center Joe Looney leaves game after the first play from scrimmage with an apparent leg injury.

It only took one play for the Dallas Cowboys to have to shuffle their offensive line. Center Joe Looney went down on the first play from scrimmage after a short run play for Ezekiel Elliot. Looney was taken to the locker room immediately and walked off under guidance from trainers.

Rookie Tyler Biadasz will be coming in his absence. Biadasz made his season debut last week at Seattle.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was sacked on the next play with right tackle Terrance Steeler giving up a sack to Myles Garrett.

More on Looney’s injury as information becomes available.
