Top 2022 DE target Curlee Thomas to visit MSU in June

MSU will be hosting a top-priority defensive end target, Curlee Thomas of Forth Worth, Texas. The 3-star will be on campus in June.

Michigan State defensive line coach Ron Burton is gearing up for a big month of June, trying to secure a strong class of 2022. Burton will be hosting top targets DT Alex VanSumeren and DE Chase Carter the first weekend of June.

The second weekend of June will be centered around another priority DE target Curlee Thomas, someone who has been a top target for most of this cycle for MSU.

Thomas, a 3-star prospect from Fort Worth, Texas, is currently ranked No. 552 in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Michigan State will be battling Cal, Oklahoma State, Purdue and Texas Tech for Thomas’s talents.

Michigan State is still in the running for three-star defensive end Curlee Thomas of Fort Worth, Texas.

Thomas revealed his top nine schools on Sunday, with Michigan State cracking the list. The Spartans are joined by Arkansas, Cal, Texas Tech, Purdue, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Mississippi State and Hawaii as Thomas’ top nine programs.

Thomas currently holds scholarship offers from 40 different programs, and is listed as the No. 518 overall prospect in the 2022 class.

Thomas — who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds — is slated to take an official visit to Michigan State in June.
