Karoline Striplin named to CSC academic team

Lady Vols’ Karoline Striplin named to CSC academic team.

Lady Vols’ sophomore forward Karoline Striplin was named to the College Sports Communicators 2022-23 Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams.

The CSC All-District Academic Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Striplin, a native of Hartford, Alabama, has a 3.85 grade point average and is pursuing a degree in journalism and electronic media.

She was named to SEC Academic Honor Roll last season and is on track for the same recognition this year.

The CSC All-District honorees advance to the organization’s All-America ballot with first, second and third teams and will be named in March.

Striplin has appeared in 25 games for Tennessee this season. She has started in the Lady Vols’ last 20 games.

Jahmai Mashack receives district academic award

Vols’ sophomore receives CSC All-District academic honor

Tennessee sophomore guard Jahmai Mashack has been recognized for his accomplishments in the classroom.

Mashack was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2022-23 Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams Tuesday.

The teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

This season marks the second consecutive year for a Vols’ player to be honored by the CSC. Guard Santiago Vescovi was named to the team in 2021-22.

Academic All-Region nominees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.

The fist, second and third-team All-America selections will be named in March.

Mashack, a native of Fontana, California is one of five SEC players to earn All-District inclusion.
