Marshawn Lynch open to coming out of retirement — under one condition

Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch stated in an interview with Conan O’Brien that he is open to coming out of retirement for one reason.

Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch said he is open to coming out of retirement in an interview with Conan O’Brien on Wednesday. However, he said he will only return to the league if a surefire Super Bowl contender wishes to sign him, adding that several teams have recently asked him if he would consider joining them.

“If the situation is right, then I mean, it could happen,” Lynch said. “I’ve been asked the question by a couple teams here recently. Like, ‘Are you ready?’ I’m ready if you all are Super Bowl-ready. That’s what it would take me to come out, to come and play again. It would have to be a guaranteed Super Bowl game for me.”

The 34-year-old Lynch ranks No. 29 on the all-time list for rushing yards (10,413). If he were to come back to the NFL, the Seahawks are not likely to be his top choice, but could we see Beast Mode in the blue and green once more? Anything is possible.
