The Farmer’s Dog made everyone cry with its Super Bowl commercial

And, now we’re all in tears.

Super Bowl commercials are part of the draw every year as both football fans and casual observers gather to watch what new spots will drop between the action on the gridiron. Sometimes the ads are funny or feature your favorite actor or are just about beer.

And sometimes they’re the kind of sad that will leave you sobbing on your sofa.

The Farmer’s Dog did that to viewers on Sunday evening with its commercial that shows the journey and companionship between a dog and their owner. We see a sweet little girl getting an adorable lab puppy, and that puppy growing into a dog as she hits major life milestones like getting married and having a family.

As the owner lays in bed with her husband and baby, she stroked the head of the lab as we see its perfectly grayed muzzle. The dulcet tones of “Forever” by Lee Fields play in the background as he croons, “I’ll be there.”

As a dog owner that also recently got a puppy, this wrecked me. The internet was also brought to tears.

Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanović reunited for a new Goldfish commercial and it’s amazing

Wow this is amazing.

Boban Marjanović and Tobias Harris’ friendship has just been incredible to watch. It’s blossomed so much over the years. The Bobi and Tobi show is the absolute best.

They’ve done so much together over the years from teaching a Soul Cycle class to playing some cornhole in the NBA bubble and more.

Of course, there’s been heartbreak along the way. They were broken up after Marjanović’s trade to the Mavericks, but their friendship has remained strong throughout it all.

And now it’s back and looking as strong as ever. The two are doing commercials together now. They both appeared in a commercial for Goldfish and it was hilarious.

Turns out perfect content actually does exist. This is exactly it. We need more of this and we need it now.

Get on it, Bobi & Tobi. Please.

Drake made a surprise cameo in a State Farm commercial during the Super Bowl

Drake. From State Farm.

While most companies release their Super Bowl commercials ahead of time these days, each year you will get a couple of fun surprises.

That happened during this year’s State Farm ad, when NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and reining Super Bowl MVP Pat Mahomes were joined by “Drake … from State Farm.”

Yeah, it was Drake, working as a stand-in for Jake from State Farm. Chiefs fan Paul Rudd was also there as a stand-in for Pat Mahomes, which of course. Sure.

Our 5 favorite Super Bowl commercials of all time

So. Good.

This Sunday we’ll see a showdown between Tom Brady’s Buccaneers and Pat Mahomes’ Chiefs, two iconic teams helmed by two iconic quarterbacks. And for a lot of people tuning in, they won’t care about any of that.

What they’ll care about are the commercials.

Super Bowl ads have become as much a part of the Super Bowl experience as the game itself. We see that every year in the incredible energy at Ad Meter — the USA TODAY site that allows you to rate your favorite Super Bowl commercials in real-time. (It’s seriously fun and totally free, and you can still sign up to be involved.)

To celebrate this part of the game, we’re counting down five of our favorite Super Bowl ads of all time. Some are iconic, others are just weird ones that, for whatever reason, we’ve never been able to get out of our heads.

Enjoy.

We can’t believe the editing on this powerful new Nike ad

Megan Rapinoe narrates this spot called ‘You Can’t Stop Us’ about the enduring power of sports.

Nike released a new 90-second spot this week on the enduring power of sport. With Megan Rapinoe narrating, “You Can’t Stop Us” tells a powerful story about how sports will live on, no matter the circumstances, no matter the form they take.

Whether it’s an Olympic race with the world watching, or a ball dunked in a pool during a summer day, we will find a way to compete.

What’s perhaps most impressive about the commercial, however, is the seamless editing that shows how all sport is linked, and how similar all athletes are, even if they’re competing in different arenas, different games, whatever. We’re all tied together. And no, I have no idea how they seamlessly linked all this footage.
