Peyton and Eli Manning star in commercial for NBA Finals

Peyton and Eli Manning both played basketball in high school.

The 2023 NBA Finals are scheduled to begin in June, hopefully with the Denver Nuggets competing for a title.

The Nuggets are set to face the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on Monday evening. The winner of the Denver-L.A. series will advance to face the Eastern Conference champs (either the Miami Heat or Boston Celtics).

The NBA started a commercial series for the Finals two weeks ago and they recruited former NFL quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Eli Manning for the marketing campaign. In their 15-second commercial, Peyton and Eli are on the phone discussing being ready to watch the series:

The 15-second segment with Peyton and Eli is part of a longer commercial featuring additional celebrities and athletes tuning in for the series.

Peyton and Eli both played basketball growing up in addition to football. They were stars on the gridiron and gave up basketball when they went to college to focus on football. They later both went on to win a pair of Super Bowls in the NFL.

The retired quarterbacks remain fans of the game, and there’s no doubt they’ll be tuning into the NBA Finals next month.

Von Miller stars in commercial calling for NFL to switch from turf to grass

In a new commercial for Pennington Grass Seed, Von Miller calls for the NFL to switch from artificial turf to natural grass fields.

The NFL Players Association has been lobbying for the league to abandon artificial turf in favor of natural grass, a move that the NFLPA says would help make football safer by reducing the number of injuries that happen on turf.

One of football’s biggest stars, Buffalo Bills pass rusher Von Miller, has joined the NFLPA’s campaign by teaming up with Pennington Grass Seed for a commercial promoting natural grass playing surfaces for football (the Bills are among 16 NFL teams who play on turf).

In an ad that Pennington says was rejected by a network for the NFL draft, Miller says until turf is off the field, “draft day will always be painful.”

Here is the minute-long ad from Pennington Grass Seed’s YouTube channel:

“The game will take a toll on your — twisted ankles, torn ACLs — your body pushed to the brink,” Miller says in the commercial. “We all knew the risk when we signed up, but why do injuries have to come direct from the field?”

Miller spent the first 10 and a half years of his career with the Denver Broncos. While playing for the Broncos in 2013, Miller tore his ACL in a road game against the Houston Texans, who play on turf.

Miller now plays for the Bills and he suffered another torn ACL last season during a road game against the Detroit Lions, who also play on turf.

The Broncos play their home games at Empower Field at Mile High on natural grass. Last fall, the team’s ownership group paid $400,000 to have the field replaced for the final home game of the season in an effort to give players a safe playing surface.

Clearly, Denver’s ownership group believes natural grass is a worthwhile investment, but half of the league still plays on synthetic turf, which is cheaper to maintain. For safety reasons, players want all 32 teams playing on natural grass, and Miller is now an official spokesperson for the cause.

“It’s time to put the players first,” Miller says in the ad. “Get turf off the fields and bring back grass.”

Peyton Manning stars in new commercial for Bush’s Beans

Eight years after his retirement, Peyton Manning remains one of the NFL’s most marketable personalities.

Peyton Manning’s back with a third commercial for Bush’s Beans, a company that he joined as an ambassador last year.

Manning, 47, previously released a 30-second Super Bowl commercial for Bush’s Beans followed by a 15-second follow-up ad two weeks ago. The former quarterback has now released a third commercial, this one titled “Words For Zero.”

As the title suggests, Manning and Bush’s Beans’ mascot, a golden retriever named Duke, exchange replacement words for “zero,” promoting the company’s zero-sugar beans. It’s a simple ad that brings back memories of Manning facing off with Kenny Mayne in an “Omaha” showdown in 2022.

Check out Peyton Manning’s latest commercial below:

In addition to working with Bush’s Beans, Manning has also recently created commercials with the NFL promoting the Pro Bowl and flag football. He has also filmed ads for Workday and Caesars, and he starred in three Super Bowl commercials last year.

Manning’s playing days are behind him, but he remains one of the most marketable personalities in NFL circles. A two-time Super Bowl champion, Manning retired from football in 2016.

Peyton Manning gives nod to ‘the saucy sheriff’ in new Bush’s Beans commercial

“I love me a saucy sheriff,” Peyton Manning says in his new Bush’s Beans commercial 😅

After starring in Bush’s Beans’ regional Super Bowl commercial in February, former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning has returned with another commercial alongside the company’s mascot, a golden retriever named Duke.

In the 15-second ad titled “Plate Plays,” Manning reveals three ways to distribute beans on a barbecue plate: “the force field” (with no food items touching other foods), “the moat” (with beans touching everything, even hamburger buns) and the “saucy sheriff” (which is just a gigantic pile of beans on a plate).

Manning opts for the gigantic pile of beans.

“I love me a saucy sheriff,” Manning tells Duke, a statement that is a clear nod to the former quarterback’s on-field nickname, “The Sheriff.”

“I’m excited to be the newest bean ambassador for Bush’s Beans and to represent this family-owned business,” Manning said in a press release after joining Bush’s Beans last December.

“I really respect the group of individuals behind this great company. There are many reasons Bush’s is known as the Beautiful Bean Co., and I’m excited to help the team continue to highlight them.”

This marks the third video Manning has made for Bush’s Beans after he previously filmed a teaser for the company’s Super Bowl ad, and, of course, the Super Bowl commercial itself. We’re sure there’s more to come from Manning and Bush’s Beans.

Peyton Manning stars in funny Pro Bowl commercial with Josh Jacobs

Peyton Manning: “You look like some kind of running back!” Josh Jacobs: “I am a running back.” 🤣

Peyton Manning (AFC) and Eli Manning (NFC) are set to coach their respective conferences at the NFL’s reimagined Pro Bowl Games this year, a week of events that will feature a flag football game.

Peyton and Eli are sure to provide hilarious mic’d up moments during the Pro Bowl activities, and they have already provided plenty of entertainment leading up to the game in the NFL’s commercials promoting the event.

Peyton and Eli starred in three Pro Bowl commercials that aired during the NFL playoffs. In the first ad, the brothers argue over which conference is better and Peyton seemingly wins the debate by pointing out that “Mom loves the AFC more.”

In the second commercial, Eli teaches Demario Davis how to pull a flag on a tackling dummy that has a picture of Peyton’s face on it. Davis ends up ripping the tackling dummy in half, much to the delight of Eli.

Now there is a third spot, in which Peyton criticizes Josh Jacobs for his throwing mechanics in the water balloon toss. Peyton then fails to catch a balloon himself. Check it out:

Peyton and Eli also recreated a viral scene from the film Zoolander in a short video clip that has gone viral on social media.

This year’s flag football Pro Bowl game will begin at 1 p.m. MT on Sunday, Feb. 5 and will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC and Disney XD.

WATCH: Eli Manning teaches Demario Davis flag football basics in Pro Bowl ad

A new Pro Bowl ad features Eli Manning teaching Demario Davis some flag football basics, with collateral damage for his brother Peyton’s tackling dummy:

A new Pro Bowl ad features former NFL quarterback Eli Manning teaching New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis some flag football basics, with a little collateral damage to his brother Peyton’s tackling dummy. Eli will be coaching the NFC team against Payton’s AFC squad in the upcoming 2023 Pro Bowl Games, which will include a new flag football games. It will air on ESPN, ABC and Disney XD on Sunday, Feb. 5.

In the new ad, Eli is showing Davis how to “grip and rip” a flag from a tackling dummy with Peyton’s face printed on it — only for Davis to tear the entire dummy in half, quipping “Too much rip?”

It’s a fun preview to spark some interest in the retooled Pro Bowl Games, but more than anything it’s great to see Davis featured here. He’s been selected for the very first Pro Bowl of his career after toiling for years, having spent the first leg of his NFL career with the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns before playing his best football for the Saints. This is the kind of thing he didn’t get to experience before. Good for him on making the most of it.

Peyton and Eli Manning star in funny commercial promoting the Pro Bowl

Getting Peyton and Eli Manning involved was the best thing the NFL has ever done for the Pro Bowl.

Even in retirement, Peyton Manning remains one of the most marketable figures in football — and he’s gotten his family involved, too.

Peyton and his brother, Eli, have starred in multiple commercials in recent years and they now co-host a ManningCast for ten Monday Night Football games on ESPN2 each season.

Tapping into their popularity and creativity, the NFL got the Manning brothers involved for a reimagined Pro Bowl this season.

This year’s Pro Bowl will feature multiple skills competitions during the week leading up to a flag football game. Peyton (AFC) and Eli (NFC) will serve as the coaches for this year’s all-star game.

The NFL released a commercial for the Pro Bowl during the divisional round of the playoffs that featured the Manning brothers’ signature sense of humor.

“Mom loves the AFC more,” Peyton says in what seemingly proves to be the winning final punch in an argument over which conference is better.

This year’s flag football Pro Bowl game will air on ESPN, ABC and Disney XD on Sunday, Feb. 5.
