  • CB Chris Lammons didn’t practice all week and even though he’s questionable, it’s difficult to see him playing.
  • LG Quenton Nelson was a limited participant for the final two practices but is still listed as questionable.
  • RT Braden Smith, CB Kenny Moore II and RB Zack Moss are all questionable but should be expected to play considering they logged full practices twice this week.

Here’s a look at the final injury report for the Texans in Week 18:

Notes

  • DE Jonathan Greenard leads the Texans with 12.5 sacks and will not play.
  • With WR Noah Brown out, Nico Collins is the main wideout to focus on.

Raiders, Colts final injury report: RB Josh Jacobs ‘game time decision’

Raiders, Colts final injury report: RB Josh Jacobs ‘game time decision’

It looks like Raiders could be without two of their offensive starters again this week as they head to Indianapolis to face the Colts. Tight end Michael Mayer has been ruled OUT while running back Josh Jacobs is officially Doubtful.

“That’s going to be a game time decision, just be honest with you,” head coach Antonio Pierce said of Jacobs’s status for Sunday. I mean, no need to rush it. If he can go at one o’clock on Sunday, I’m happy with that.”

Both players missed all practices this week.

Both Mayer and Jacobs missed Monday’s game in Kansas City and the Raiders, while they won the game, weren’t able to do much on offense.

Zamir White had a big day replacing Jacobs, but 58 of his 145 yards rushing came on the final drive thanks in large part to the Raiders’ defense putting the Raiders in a position to run out the clock late.

Starting center Andre James (ankle) and right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (knee) were both Questionable after being limited in practice all week.

  • WR Michael Pittman Jr. started off the week with a limited tag, which is encouraging. This will be a situation to monitor throughout the entire week, though, even if/when he’s cleared.
  • RT Braden Smith would have practiced in full, which is a major deal considering he hasn’t practiced since injuring his knee in Week 13.
  • RB Zack Moss would have been a limited participant if the team practiced, showing he’s making progress after not practicing at all last week.

Jaguars S Antonio Johnson sits out Wednesday practice

The Jaguars and Colts listed two players each on their Wednesday injury reports.

Jacksonville Jaguars rookies Tyler Lacy and Antonio Johnson were the only two players who didn’t participate fully in practice Wednesday, the team announced.

Lacy was limited as he works himself back from a hip injury, while Johnson was out entirely due to his hamstring.

“Antonio is still kind of a week or two away, he’s still a little further away,” Pederson told reporters Wednesday. “Tyler is another one that we’re going to get him back out there and see where he’s at and just monitor him through the first half of practice.”

The good news for the Jaguars is that defensive lineman Folorunso Fatukasi, who missed time in August due to a heel injury, and offensive lineman Tyler Shatley, who had an incident of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) in camp, were both cleared to participate fully Wednesday.

The Jaguars’ Week 1 opponent, the Indianapolis Colts, also listed just two players on their injury report.

With Jonathan Taylor out of action on the PUP list, running back Zack Moss may be the team’s starting running back Sunday despite dealing with a broken arm.

Cardinals add WR Greg Dortch, P Ryan Winslow, others to active roster

The Cardinals added four players from the practice squad to the active roster for their game Saturday night against the Colts.

The Arizona Cardinals added four players from the practice squad to the active roster in moves hours before their Week 16 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

They signed receiver Greg Dortch from the practice squad to the active roster, suggesting that Rondale Moore, officially questionable for the game with an ankle injury that kept him out of practice all week, will not be able to play.

They elevated punter Ryan Winslow, defensive lineman Josh Mauro and cornerback Kevin Peterson to the roster. Winslow was a standard elevation, while Mauro and Peterson were COVID-19 replacements. Punter Andy Lee and center Rodney Hudson remain on the COVID list.

Since no offensive linemen were added, it would appear that Max Garcia will at least be active and could start at center. They only have eight linemen on the active roster and need eight active for the game.

With Mauro’s elevation, it suggests that Zach Kerr, questionable with a rib injury, will not be able to play. Defensive lineman Jordan Phillips was ruled out with a knee injury.

Behind Enemy Lines: 5 questions with Colts Wire ahead of Week 14

See what you should be watching out for this Sunday when the Indianapolis Colts take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers return home in Week 14 after two-straight road wins. The Bucs have been playing some of their best football of the season and have a chance to pull their record to 6-7 with a win over the visiting Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts, meanwhile, have lost four of their last five games and are desperately trying to stay afloat in the AFC playoff race. A loss would all but end their season, so the Bucs should prepared to face a Colts team playing with an added sense of desperation and urgency.

We talked with Kevin Hickey of Colts Wire to find out more about this Indy team ahead of Sunday’s Week 14 matchup.

1. The Colts have lost four of five games and seen their playoff hopes slip away. What’s the realistic expectation for this team for the rest of the season?

They will continue to compete but it is very unlikely they make the playoffs. They are currently the ninth seed entering this matchup while the teams ahead of them hold the tiebreaker for the playoff seeding. There is still the smallest of chances they get in but with four games remaining, it is time to begin looking at the future.

2. How do the Colts plan on stopping Tampa Bay’s offense, which ranks in the top 5 in the league?

It’s a good question and a tough challenge. The Colts have been pretty solid defensively for the majority of the year, especially recently. Because Jameis Winston has a knack for throwing interceptions, I expect the Colts to dial up some blitzes. Cornerback Kenny Moore is typically used on nickel blitzes but he’s ruled out. I wouldn’t be surprised if they use linebackers Darius Leonard or Bobby Okereke on blitzes more often. They will also have to take advantage if/when they secure turnovers. Scoring points after a change of possession is something they have struggled with this season.

3. What grade would you give Jacoby Brissett this season?

C+ maybe? It’s tough because he’s a talented quarterback. He has a big arm, strong pocket mobility and a strong command of the offense. But he simply doesn’t throw with timing and anticipation to be an above average starter. If he has to deal with a blitz, all bets are off. He’s talented and still relatively young, but right now he’s an average quarterback that doesn’t love to push the ball downfield.

4. What’s the key matchup everyone should be watching for on Sunday?

It’s going to be Shaq Barrett against Colts right tackle Braden Smith. Barrett is having a career year leading the NFL in sacks while the second-year Smith has been solid for the most part this season. The Colts offensive line dictates how much success the entire offense will have every week. Needing to win the edge battles is a massive need, and it likely comes down to this matchup.

5. Who wins and why?

The Colts are going to be competitive in this game, but the injuries are too much. Without T.Y. Hilton, the passing offense isn’t the same. Without Kenny Moore, the Colts have no one to line up against Chris Godwin. It will be close, but the Colts offense doesn’t have what it takes to keep up with the Bucs. I’ve got it Bucs, 28-20.
