The Colorado Buffaloes and TCU Horned Frogs open their regular seasons at Amon G. Carter Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Colorado vs. TCU odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Colorado has been making national headlines since bringing in coach Deion Sanders in December 2022. Sanders comes in to revitalize a Buffaloes team that went just 1-11 straight up and 2-10 against the spread (ATS) in 2022. While bringing in Coach Prime has certainly helped recruiting, Colorado’s regular season wins total sits at Over 3.5 (+105) / Under 3.5 (-125).

TCU is coming off a 65-7 loss as a 13.5-point underdog vs. the Georgia Bulldogs in the National Championship Game on Jan. 9. Sophomore QB Chandler Morris has earned the starting job for the Horned Frogs this season and was originally the starter in 2022 before getting hurt in the opener at Colorado. TCU’s regular season wins total sits at Over 7.5 (-135) / Under 7.5 (+110), despite coming off a 12-0 regular season (9-2-1 ATS).

TCU is No. 16 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.

Colorado at TCU picks and predictions

Prediction

TCU 41, Colorado 10

Moneyline

TCU (-1000) is actually one of the better lines you will find on the Horned Frogs in the market. However, most people are not comfortable laying $1,000 to win $100.

PASS. Lay the points and/or bet the total instead.

Against the spread

The last time we saw TCU, it was getting blown out by Georgia in the National Championship Game. Meanwhile, Colorado has been receiving a ton of positive press for hiring Coach Prime and going all-in on recruiting.

It will take Sanders time to turn around this program, and I believe TCU is being slightly undervalued vs. this Buffaloes team that went just 1-11 straight up last season.

BET TCU -20.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The total in this game has jumped all over the place since the opener. We saw early money coming in on the Under, dropping it to as low as 59 at some books, while the Over money in recent weeks has pushed it back up above its original number of 62. While TCU is definitely capable of putting up a lot of points, I don’t trust Colorado to contribute in any significant way.

BET UNDER 63.5 (-110).
