How to watch, stream Colorado’s second spring game under Deion Sanders

If you can’t make it to Folsom, here’s how you can watch today’s spring game:

Colorado’s annual spring football game is no longer merely an intrasquad scrimmage. Last year’s spring game saw over 47,000 fans pack Folsom Field and this year’s event should be another massive weekend for head coach Deion Sanders’ Buffs program.

On Saturday, the CU faithful will get their first in-person look at talented incoming freshmen such as running back Micah Welch and five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton. Along with those two, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way phenom Travis Hunter will be playing in their second spring game with the Buffs.

While Colorado’s roster remains in flux, Saturday’s spring game allows the Buffs to flaunt some of their early offseason improvements. Notable changes include revamped offensive and defensive lines, different schemes and several new coaches, including defensive coordinator Robert Livingston.

Here’s how you can watch/stream Colorado’s 2024 Black and Gold Weekend spring football game:

Colorado still waiting on television deal for spring football game

Colorado is still waiting on a television deal for its spring game

During a press conference earlier this week, head coach Deion Sanders told the media that the Colorado Buffaloes are still waiting on a television rights deal for their 2024 spring football game on April 27.

ESPN, which went live from Folsom Field last April, will be prioritizing the NFL draft, but Fox (or Fox Sports 1) and the Pac-12 Network remain options. However, settling for the Pac-12 Network wouldn’t be ideal with Colorado returning to the Big 12 Conference this summer.

Here’s Coach Prime’s full quote from Wednesday:

“We’re still waiting on television. We know ESPN is dealing with the draft and we’re waiting on probably Fox and still Pac-12 (Network) to see what they’re going to do so we can announce this thing and get these tickets sold out. We’re going to sell out the spring game.”

Regardless of who broadcasts the game, Sanders expects to sell out Folsom Field for the second consecutive spring. Last year, 47.277 fans witnessed Colorado’s spring game and ESPN drew over half a million viewers.

Fellow Big 12 programs West Virginia, Baylor, Houston and Texas Tech will each have their 2024 spring game televised on ESPN+.

The Buffs held their first spring practice on Monday and will enjoy this upcoming week off for spring break.

Colorado receives another late kickoff time for homecoming game against Oregon State

Colorado’s next home game against Oregon State is set for another late kickoff

Despite head coach Deion Sanders’ vocal displeasure with late-night kickoffs, the Pac-12 announced Monday that Colorado’s homecoming football game against Oregon State on Nov. 4 will start at 8 p.m. MT.

This will mark the Buffs’ third 8 p.m. home game of the season. Those first two — matchups with Colorado State and Stanford — both went into double overtime as well.

The Pac-12 also revealed that Colorado-Oregon State will be broadcast on ESPN. Including Saturday’s game at UCLA (5:30 p.m. MT on ABC), all but one of the Buffaloes’ games so far this season have been televised nationally.

Per Brian Howell of BuffZone, Colorado is supposed to have one more appearance on the Pac-12 Network. That will come on either Nov. 11 (vs. Arizona) or Nov. 25 (at Utah).

Here’s a complete look at TV selections and kickoff times for the Pac-12’s Week 10 games:

Head coach Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are licking their wounds during their bye this week following a disappointing 46-43 loss to the Stanford Cardinal last Friday night.

Following this week off, the Buffs will travel to Pasadena for another massive Pac-12 matchup against the UCLA Bruins.

On Monday, the Pac-12 announced the kickoff times and TV channels for that slate of Week 9 games. The Buffs are set to take on the Bruins at 5:30 p.m. MT on ABC.

Below is a list of the kickoff times and TV selections for Week 9 Pac-12 football matchups.

Stanford at Colorado: Stream, injury report, broadcast info for Friday

Where will you be watching?

The CU Buffs are back at Folsom Field this week for a matchup against Stanford in a rare Friday night home game.

Colorado and Stanford are both led by first-year head coaches — Deion Sanders and Troy Taylor, respectively — but their inaugural seasons so far have followed vastly different paths. Coach Prime’s 4-2 Buffs are only two wins away from reaching bowl eligibility while the 1-4 Cardinal’s lone win of the year came in Week 1 at Hawaii.

With quarterback Shedeur Sanders rolling and two-way star Travis Hunter potentially returning from an injury he suffered in Week 3, the Buffs are favored by double-digit points at home.

Pac-12 announces kickoff time, TV selection for Colorado’s Week 6 game at Arizona State

Colorado’s string of nationally televised games to begin the season will soon come to an end

Colorado’s string of nationally televised games to begin the Deion Sanders era will end on Oct. 7 when the Buffs travel to Arizona State.

On Monday, the Pac-12 Conference announced kickoff times and television selections for Week 6 games, and Colorado-Arizona State was given a 4:30 p.m. MT kickoff on the Pac-12 Network. An early season non-night game at Mountain America Stadium in Tempe means that high temperatures should be expected.

Other Week 6 Pac-12 games include Washington State at UCLA (1:00 p.m. MT, Pac-12 Network), Oregon State at Cal (8:00 p.m. MT, Pac-12 Network) and Arizona at USC (8:30 p.m. MT, ESPN).

So far in 2023, Colorado has played on Fox three times (including Saturday’s 10 a.m. MT game vs. USC), ESPN once and ABC once. It was previously announced that Colorado’s Week 7 Friday night game vs. Stanford will be broadcast on ESPN.

Colorado State at Colorado: Stream, injury report, broadcast info for Saturday

Here’s how you watch watch the biggest game in college football this week

With Fox’s “Big Noon Kickoff” and ESPN’s “College GameDay” in Boulder, the 2023 Rocky Mountain Showdown has been the most talked about Week 3 game in college football. Colorado is looking for its third straight win to start the Deion Sanders era while the Colorado State Rams enter Folsom Field at 0-1.

Coach Prime’s Buffs have been electrifying in just about every aspect. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter are legit Heisman Trophy candidates. Several others are also making headlines, including wide receiver Xavier Weaver.

If you can’t make it to Folsom Field, here’s how you can watch Colorado-Colorado State:

Kickoff time, TV selection announced for Colorado’s Pac-12 opener at Oregon

Kickoff time and TV info has been announced for Colorado’s Sept. 23 game at Oregon

The Pac-12 Conference announced on Monday that Colorado football’s Sept. 23 game at Oregon will kick off at 1:30 p.m. MT on ABC.

For both the Buffs and Ducks, this Week 4 matchup at Autzen Stadium marks the start of Pac-12 play. Colorado closes its nonconference slate against Colorado State on Saturday while Oregon will do the same in its Week 3 contest vs. Hawaii.

The Ducks, who are set to join the Big Ten next year, are currently 2-0 following wins over Portland State and Texas Tech.

Much like in Colorado’s home opener against Nebraska, Deion Sanders’ Buffs have some beef with the Ducks after their second-year head coach Dan Lanning took a shot at CU in regard to its upcoming move to the Big 12.

The Pac-12 also announced kickoff times and TV selections for the conference’s other five games on Sept. 23:

As of Monday, we’re still waiting on kickoff time and TV info for Colorado’s Week 5 game against USC on Sept. 30.

Colorado vs. Nebraska: Stream, injury report, broadcast info for Saturday’s Week 2 matchup

Where will you be watching?

As far as college football rivalries go, it doesn’t get much better than Colorado-Nebraska. The two former Big 12 foes have produced several memorable games through the years and they’re now set to meet again for the first time in four seasons.

Both teams enter this Week 2 battle in Boulder led by first-year head coaches. In their debuts last week, Deion Sanders guided the Buffs past then-ranked TCU in Fort Worth while Matt Rhule’s Cornhuskers fell to Minnesota on a last-second field goal.

If you can’t make it to Folsom Field, we’ve got you covered on how to watch Coach Prime’s home debut:

Kickoff times/TV info announced for more 2023 Colorado football games, including home opener vs. Nebraska

We learned the kickoff time and television channel for four more games

Colorado is going to be on national television quite a bit throughout head coach Deion Sanders’ first season leading the Buffs.

So far, five games have officially been taken by national networks, including the highly-anticipated home opener against Nebraska. We learned in mid-May that FOX will broadcast the 2023 season opener at TCU, and on Wednesday, kickoff times/television information for four other games also became known.

“We are extremely honored to be chosen to appear on multiple networks to start this epic season,” Sanders said in a press release. “The exposure this provides to our student-athletes is one reason they came to the University of Colorado. ‘We Coming.’ “

Below are the kickoff times and television channels for those four aforementioned games:
