Broncos turned locker room into ‘Club Dub’ after upset win over Bucs

Let’s hope ‘Club Dub’ returns many times this season!

The Denver Broncos secured their first win of the 2024 NFL season on Sunday, a 26-7 upset victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After the game, the Broncos transformed their locker room into “Club Dub.” Based on photos and videos posted on social media, it appears that the team brought in lighting, a smoke machine and a stereo system for the occasion.

“Oh, it was great,” quarterback Bo Nix said when asked what the locker room was like after his first win in the NFL. “Before the game, we wanted to hear the music and have a party. We played motivated today. We went out there and executed at a high level.

“I think that’s what it’s supposed to feel like. You get back in the locker room and everybody is really excited. You put so much into the week. You put so much effort, time [and] energy [in]. Those are what those moments are about. That’s what you want to get to. You want to get to those postgame celebrations.”

Denver safety Keidron Smith shared some behind-the-scenes footage on his Instagram page. Check it out, via @RespectMyCos on Twitter/X:

Denver fans will hope this is the first of many appearances for “Club Dub” this fall.

WATCH: Bears take Club Dub on the road following upset win over Raiders

Take a look inside Club Dub following the Bears’ 20-9 upset win over the Raiders.

The Chicago Bears delivered a 20-9 upset win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, where all three phases contributed to the team’s best win of the season to improve to 3-2 on the season.

The defense contained one of the league’s highest-scoring offenses, sacked Derek Carr three times and added another takeaway to the bucket. The offense committed to the ground game with Damien Williams and Khalil Herbert. And kicker Cairo Santos delivered two clutch field goals in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

As has been the case since Matt Nagy joined the Bears, the team celebrates every win at Club Dub — and that includes road games.

Thanks to Bilal Nichols, we got a glimpse inside Club Dub right as it was happening following Sunday’s win. Now, we have official video from the Bears, which gives us a better look at the team celebrating an impressive road win against the Raiders.

The Bears will be looking to continue their Club Dub celebration Sunday when they host the division rival Packers at Soldier Field. But it won’t be an easy task considering Green Bay is 19-3 against the Bears since 2011.

But if Chicago can get another complete game from all three phases this Sunday, they stand a chance of pulling off another upset.

The Bears upset the Raiders 20-9 on Sunday, where players got to celebrate in Club Dub. Check out video here.

The Chicago Bears’ first road win of the season, a 20-9 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders, was the team’s most impressive to date this season.

The Bears defense held the NFL’s ninth-best scoring offense to just 9 points and sacked Raiders quarterback Derek Carr three times, which included Khalil Mack getting to his friend and former teammate twice — although the second one didn’t count on the failed two-point conversion.

Chicago’s offense did just enough in the victory, where running backs Damien Williams and rookie Khalil Herbert combined for 34 carries for 139 rushing yards and a score in place of an injured David Montgomery. Rookie quarterback Justin Fields’ toughness was on display in the win, and he’s now 2-1 as a starter.

The Bears have won three games this season, and we’ve yet to see those Club Dub videos we’ve grown accustomed to in 2018 and 2019. But that doesn’t mean players can’t bring us inside Club Dub, which was rocking following Chicago’s gritty win over Las Vegas.

The Bears currently sit in second place in the NFC North with a 3-2 record, and they’ll face their divisional foes the Packers next Sunday at Soldier Field. If Chicago can find a way to beat their rivals for the first time since 2018, they’ll be in first place in the division.

WATCH: Bears QB Justin Fields looks ready for Club Dub

It’s no secret Bears QB Justin Fields has got some dance moves, and he looks ready for his Club Dub debut in this new video.

It’s no secret that Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields has got some moves. And not just on the football field with his freakish athletic ability. He was well-known for his dance moves back at Ohio State, and here’s hoping he brings that same energy to Chicago.

For a Bears team that is looking to get back on the winning track in 2021, the hope is that there will be a lot more Club Dub dance celebrations this year following back-to-back 8-8 seasons.

And if this new video of Fields dancing in a Bears uniform during media day is any indication, he looks just as prepared for Club Dub as he appears to be for the NFL.

Here’s a look at the full video posted by the Bears Twitter account, which also features some moves by running back Damien Williams, who also appears ready for some Club Dub action.

Bears CB Buster Skrine might have suggestion for new Club Dub music

The Bears celebrate wins with Club Dub, and CB Buster Skrine being a classic rock fan might have some good suggestions for music.

When Matt Nagy arrived in Chicago, he initiated a new tradition in the Bears’ locker room following victories. When the Bears win, they open up Club Dub as their postgame celebration, which has typically featured a song Bears fans are familiar with in “Swag Surfin” by F.L.Y.

But cornerback Buster Skrine might have some different suggestions for what should be played in the locker room following the next Bears’ win.

Skrine is a classic rock kind of guy. During a Zoom meeting with reporters on Wednesday, Skrine was sporting a Rolling Stones shirt, which led to some musical discussion. Skrine said if he was in charge of the music inside the locker room, it would feature Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Bob Marley and maybe some AC/DC.

But don’t expect Skrine to take over DJ duties at Club Dub anytime soon.

“I listen to classic rock all the time,” Skrine said, via JJ Stankevitz. “You know, I never touch the auxiliary cord in the locker room because I feel like I would get judged off my playlist.”

The Bears didn’t get to open Club Dub as often as they would’ve liked last season, as they won just eight games. Chicago will be looking to reverse their misfortune in 2020, and hopefully Club Dub will be open enough that maybe Skrine will get a song request in.

WATCH: Bears celebrate impressive win over Cowboys with trip to Club Dub

The Bears returned to Club Dub following a 31-24 beat down of the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football.

Following a 31-24 beat down of the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football, the Chicago Bears opened the doors to Club Dub to celebrate the team’s most impressive win of the season.

The game wasn’t as close as the score might indicate, and it was a productive effort from all three phases that have the Bears sitting pretty at 7-6 after winning their third straight game.

But it was the offense and quarterback Mitchell Trubisky that were the talk of the night following the offense’s best performance of the season. Trubisky accounted for four touchdowns — 3 passing and 1 rushing — and utilized his mobility.

What better way to start off your Victory Friday than with a trip to Club Dub?

Club Dub has been busy over the past month with the Bears winning four of their last five games. They sit at 7-6 and are very much in the hunt for that final Wild Card spot.

The Bears will have 10 days to prepare for a divisional showdown against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field next Sunday, which should mark the return of defensive lineman Akiem Hicks.

WATCH: Bears take Club Dub on the road with Thanksgiving win vs. Lions

The Bears celebrated Thanksgiving with a divisional win over the Lions, which resulted in a return to Club Dub.

The Chicago Bears celebrated Thanksgiving with a divisional win over the Detroit Lions — and a back-to-back visit to Club Dub.

The Bears overcame a 10-point deficit and battled back to sweep the Lions this season, a victory that kept their slim playoff hopes alive heading into the final quarter of the season.

Bears coach Matt Nagy addressed his team following the victory, where he praised his team’s ability to fight through four quarters and stick together as a family.

“You can’t bring us down baby,” Nagy said. “That’s what it’s all about. We’re too strong. I’m telling you right now, I said it last night about family, that’s who we are.”

Nagy awarded the game ball to quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who completed 29-of-38 passes for 338 yards with three touchdowns and one interception for a 118.1 passer rating.

Trubisky’s teammates were thrilled for him, as they surrounded him and congratulated him for what his most impressive effort this season.

With the Bears sitting at 6-6 with four games to go, things just got interesting.

WATCH: Bears return to Club Dub following Week 12 win over Giants

The Bears returned to Club Dub following Sunday’s 19-14 victory over the Giants.

Club Dub’s doors have remained closed most of this season, as the Bears had only notched four wins prior to Sunday’s 19-14 victory over the Giants.

Call it unimpressive. (It was.) Call it ugly. (It was.) But it was a win, and the Bears celebrate every victory.

Following the celebration, coach Matt Nagy addressed the team, where he addressed their struggles and how they’ve fought through adversity this season.

“It doesn’t matter how they come, they’re always hard,” Nagy told his team. “When you go through this kind of stuff, it challenges you. I’m going to continue to tell you, and this goes back to what I told you last night, it’s about you guys. It’s about believing in one another, it’s about execution, it’s about playing hard. And if you do that, you get good results.”

The Bears have a short turnaround as they play the Detroit Lions on Thursday, which will be the second year in a row they’ll be in Detroit for Thanksgiving.

Chicago is looking to bring Club Dub back to Detroit, as they did in a 23-16 victory last season.

WATCH: Bears return to Club Dub following Week 10 win over Lions

The Chicago Bears returned to their winning ways with a 20-13 victory over the Detroit Lions, which meant a return to Club Dub.

After a prolonged absence from Club Dub, the Chicago Bears returned to their winning ways Sunday notching a 20-13 victory over the Detroit Lions.

The win snapped Chicago’s four-game losing streak and kept them out of last place in the NFC North, with a 4-5 record.

While it certainly an ugly win, any win is a welcome win. Especially when it you get to return to Club Dub.

For all of those that are criticizing Matt Nagy for holding Club Dub with the Bears below .500 and nabbing their first win in over a month, he doesn’t care. This is how they do things. This is how they celebrate victories, even ones that are far from pretty.

“That’s who we are,” Nagy said, via the Chicago Tribune. “The guys, you’d be surprised, one of the neat things that I think we have going on right now, even in this four-game slide that we just came through, is every Saturday morning we have our own (dance-off), and it just keeps the energy going. We did it last year and why not keep doing it? So we do it. (Saturday morning) is like the appetizer and then this they come to dinner.

“I just sat back and just to be able to watch the guys, seeing them in there, they ended up doing some one-on-one dancing, which is pretty neat. It’s exciting. We enjoy it. It brings you together, you know, and then you’re able to coach off of wins a lot easier. There’s still a lot of things that we need to get better at. We understand that. But you step back in those moments and you say, this is why we do what we do.”

The Bears will be looking to make it two straight trips to Club Dub when they travel to Los Angeles to face the Rams on Sunday Night Football in Week 11.
