Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson exits Broncos game after dirty hit

Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson leaves Broncos game with a concussion after suffering a dirty hit.

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson leaves the Denver Broncos game with a head injury. Thompson-Robinson was injured when Broncos linebacker Baron Browning launched himself into Thompson-Robinson’s head and shoulder area. The hit immediately drew a penalty for roughing the passer. Thompson-Robinson was seen with a bloody lip when he was walking back into the locker room. He is being evaluated for a concussion.

The Broncos were flagged for a late hit on David Njoku during the third quarter. They are currently without their starting safety Kareem Jackson after he was suspended for multiple dangerous hits to opponents this season. The Denver Broncos are coached by Sean Payton who has an ugly history for running a bounty program.

Hopefully, the Browns will be able to leave the Broncos game with most of their health intact. The Cleveland Browns are currently losing to the Denver Broncos 12-24 entering the final quarter of the game.

Injury Alert: Browns DE Za’Darius Smith exits in second half vs. Broncos

Defensive end Za’Darius Smith leaves the Broncos game with an ankle injury.

Defensive end Za’Darius Smith walked off with trainers during the third quarter of this Week 12 matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos. The defensive end injured his ankle during a tackle on the first play of the second half. Smith walked into the locker room with trainers after being examined in the medical tent.

Until he returns (if he returns) expect a heavier workload for both Ogbo Okoronkwo and Alex Wright. The defense came up with a big three-and-out to start the second half, so getting Smith back into the lineup would give this Cleveland defense an added boost.

The Browns are losing to the Broncos 6-14 going into the end of the third quarter. The Browns need their pass rushers to stop a dynamic Broncos passing attack. The Broncos are taking advantage of a stalwart Browns’ defense.

Browns Injury Alert: RT Jack Conklin questionable to return with ankle injury

The Browns may be without their RT the rest of the way out.

The Cleveland Browns have now inserted James Hudson in at right tackle as Jack Conklin has limped off with an ankle injury. Fresh off of a four-year extension, Conklin is questionable to return today against the Washington Commanders. Up 17-10 with six minutes to go in the game, the Browns will lean on Hudson and the rest of the offensive line to grind this game away in the nation’s capital.

This is the first time Conklin has suffered an injury in 2022 after returning to the lineup in Week 3 for the Browns. As he is in Cleveland for at least two more seasons, one can hope that Conklin’s health can continue to trend in the right direction.

Browns Injury Alert: Tony Fields II enters medical tent vs. Commanders

The Browns might be down another linebacker

[mm-video type=playlist id=01eqbw33aqtym0ft0g player_id=01eqbvhghtkmz2182d image=]

The Cleveland Browns have already placed their fifth linebacker on Injured Reserve this week in Jordan Kunaszyk, and now they may be down another as Tony Fields II has entered the medical tent against the Washington Commanders with a potential shoulder injury. They have not announced any status on Fields at this point.

Despite a long drive, the Browns have been able to get a couple of takeaways from Carson Wentz as both Denzel Ward and Grant Delpit have interceptions this afternoon. Losing another linebacker in Fields, however, would be a big blow for their unit with 25 minutes left to play.

Browns lose third LB due season-ending injury as Sione Takitaki tears ACL

The Browns now lose their third linebacker of the season to a season-ending injury

The Cleveland Browns have been hit with another massive injury blow to their linebacker room. After already losing both Anthony Walker Jr. and Jacob Phillips to season-ending injuries, the Browns will now also be without starting MIKE linebacker Sione Takitaki. Speaking to the media today, head coach Kevin Stefanski has stated Takitaki has a torn ACL after leaving yesterday’s game against the Houston Texans.

The Browns may now have to turn back to either Deion Jones or to the vastly improved and developing second-year linebacker Tony Fields II. With five games left to go, including a big one against the Cincinnati Bengals this week, the Browns will have to find an answer in the middle of their defense and fast.

Browns Injury Alert: LB Sione Takitaki exits on cart vs. Texans

The Browns are already thin at linebacker, and Sione Takitaki exiting the game against the Texans on a cart does not help

The Cleveland Browns have not been able to avoid the injury bug this week. After starting tight end David Njoku was ruled out and listed as inactive, backup tight end Harrison Bryant also left the game against the Houston Texans with an injury. Now late in this game against the Browns saw their starting MIKE linebacker Sione Takitaki exit on the cart.

Already down two linebackers on Injured Reserve, losing Takitaki would be a huge blow for the Browns down the stretch. After a big game in this one against the Texans, the Browns may now need to lean on second-year linebacker Tony Fileds II moving forward.

Browns ruled TE David Njoku OUT with knee injury vs. Texans

As the Browns prepare for the Houston Texans, they will be without tight end David Njoku who has been ruled out with a knee injury

After making an astounding game-tying touchdown grab in the overtime win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, tight end David Njoku will now miss this week’s matchup against the Houston Texans. The Cleveland Browns have ruled Njoku out this week after missing all week of practice with a new knee injury.

In his first start in the brown and orange, quarterback Deshaun Watson will be without his second-best pass catcher. In his past absence, the Browns have given wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones more targets. Expect more of the same this week from the Browns as they look to win in back-to-back weeks for the first time in 2022 against the Texans.

TE David Njoku working through new knee injury

In addition to a high ankle sprain, David Njoku is working through a knee injury suffered against the Buccaneers

Tight end David Njoku was the hero for the Cleveland Browns as he caught a last-minute touchdown on their last chance against the Buccaneers. As the team now prepares for the Houston Texans, however, Njoku is working through a knee injury in addition to the high ankle sprain he suffered against the Baltimore Ravens.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski has not ruled Njoku out, but the sixth-year tight end was the only Browns player listed on the pre-practice injury report. The second target in the passing game, losing Njoku would be a big loss for the Browns, even if they are playing the Texans.

CB A.J. Green being evaluated for concussion vs. Buccaneers

The Browns may be without A.J. Green, who is starting in the nickel today, as he is being evaluated for a concussion.

[sendtonews_embed video_id=”SVr9GPVweV-2388749-7498″]

The Cleveland Browns have announced that cornerback A.J. Green is currently in the medical tent being evaluated for a concussion against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The potential head injury came on a stick Green made in space to bring a ball carrier down for a minimal gain. Green is already filling in as the starting nickel as Greg Newsome is also missing the game with a concussion.

If the Browns are without Green the rest of the way, it will be Thomas Graham Jr. who will come on the field in nickel packages for the Cleveland defense. Stay tuned for more in-game updates from Browns Wire.

Martin Emerson leaves game in second quarter vs. Bills

The Browns, already without Greg Newsome, may be without rookie cornerback Martin Emerson as well.

The Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills are locked in a close game in the first half at Ford Field. The Browns, however, have been struck by the injury bug not once, but twice already. After center Ethan Pocic left on the first play of the game, now rookie cornerback Martin Emerson has left the game as well.

Emerson, however, was shown standing on the sidelines with his helmet on and did not go into the medical tent. He very well could return soon in this matchup as the Browns look to steal a win from the Bills here in Detroit.
