Oklahoma Sooners receive crystal ball for 2025 four-star EDGE C.J. Nickson

Oklahoma Sooners earn crystal ball for 2025 four-star prospect C.J. Nickson.

The Sooners have regained significant recruiting control over the state of Oklahoma with their 2025 class. There’s a chance that control could get tighter if the Sooners land the prospect that they just received a crystal ball in favor of.

C.J. Nickson, a top 50 player according to 247Sports and the No. 1 player in the state, was predicted to the Sooners earlier this week by Colin Kennedy of Sooners Illustrated and 247Sports.

Kennedy entered his prediction with a significant level of confidence. While there isn’t a time frame for Nickson to make a decision, that’s the third prediction favoring Oklahoma.

Nickson is ultra-talented and has plenty of athleticism to boot. He plays on both sides of the ball and has been offered to play basketball in college as well. Nickson has football offers from Georgia, Miami, TCU, and LSU in addition to his Sooners offer.

At Oklahoma, they have plans to play him as an EDGE rusher if he ends up as a Sooner. He’d also join Oklahoma’s basketball team, where he could play as a talented and versatile wing with the ability to put the ball in the basket.

As it stands right now, Nickson is a composite four-star player on 247Sports. He’s considered the No. 2 player in the state, according to the 247Sports composite ranking, behind another Sooners target, tight end [autotag]Nate Roberts[/autotag].

LSU offers top 30 athlete in 2025 class from Oklahoma

The Sooners are currently the favorite for the in-state prospect.

LSU’s recruiting staff has taken a trip deep into future SEC opponent territory as they ventured into Oklahoma to check out a top 30 athlete in the 2025 recruiting class.

[autotag]CJ Nickson[/autotag] is a 6-foot-5, 220-pound, four-star athlete from Weatherford, Oklahoma, where he plays for Weatherford High School. The Weatherford Eagles finished the 2022 season 5-5 with a loss to Blanchard in the first round of the 4A playoffs.

There are currently no Crystal Ball projections for Nickson at this time but Oklahoma is a 78% favorite to land him per On3.

Film Analysis: Nickson plays multiple different positions for the Eagles and he has the talent to line up anywhere on the field and be successful.

Badgers offer 6-foot-5 class of 2025 edge rusher

Wisconsin offered CJ Nickson, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound class of 2025 edge rusher from Weatherford, Oklahoma on Tuesday.

Wisconsin offered CJ Nickson, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound class of 2025 edge rusher from Weatherford, Oklahoma on Tuesday. Nickson still has two more seasons of football and basketball as multi-sport athlete at Weatherford High School before he’d potentially make the leap to a collegiate program in 2025.

Nickson has now received six Division 1 football offers, with Wisconsin becoming the first school from the Big Ten to offer him. Based on the fact that Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have offered him already, they should likely be considered the favorites to land him, but Wisconsin definitely has a shot.

With Luke Fickell at head coach and Mike Tressel at defensive coordinator, the Badgers feel more likely than ever to reel in defensive recruits moving forward.
