Watch: Chris Mullin presents Steph Curry with Team USA jersey for Olympics

The NBA Hall of Famer presented Steph Curry with his Team USA jersey for the Olympics.

Although the Golden State Warriors season is over, Stephen Curry will not have much time away from the court this summer. The Golden State Warriors All-Star point guard is a part of Team USA’s roster for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

To celebrate his addition to Team USA for his first-ever appearance in the Olympics, Curry was presented his jersey by a Hall of Famer and former member of Team USA’s “Dream Team.”

Warrior legend Chris Mullin, who works as a pregame and postgame analyst in the Bay Area, met with Curry in San Francisco to show the two-time MVP his new Team USA jersey. Instead of No. 30, Curry will wear  No. 4 with Team USA this summer. In past FIBA competitions, Curry wore No. 4 with Team USA.

Along with having his No. 17 retired by the Golden State Warriors, Mullin is a two-time Olympic gold medalist. Mullin was a member of Team USA’s 1992 Olympic team in Barcelona, which was coined “The Dream Team.”

The 2024 Games in Paris will serve as Curry’s debut in the Olympics. Curry has played in a pair of FIBA World Cups with Team USA, but never the Summer Games.

The Olympics are set to begin on July 26 in Paris, France.

RTG Features (Alaskan Nets) and MSM (The Last Dance) have tapped David Charles Rodrigues (Neymar: The Perfect Chao) to direct a new feature doc about the high-scoring NBA trio of Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin —collectively known as Run TMC— and how they set the stage for the present-day dynasty of the world-champion Golden State Warriors, led by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

Billed as “the most fun fun sports doc of all time”, the as-yet-untitled feature will be a three-man weave combining basketball, hip-hop, the Bay Area and late-’80s/early-’90s nostalgia. Mason Gordon will produce for MSM, with RTG Features acting as the studio. 2022 Emmy nominees Coodie & Chike (Jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy) developed the film in partnership with RTG and will serve as executive producers.

Mullin’s presence in the video was fitting, because the jerseys are exact replicas of the ones the team wore from 1988-97 — a span that included the iconic “Run TMC” era that saw the high-scoring trio of Mullin, Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond take the league by storm. In addition, a Captain’s badge will be featured on the uniforms of the Warriors’ captains for the first time since 1997.

Steph Curry’s name is all over the NBA and Warriors team record books. Most notably, of course, as the league’s all-time leader in 3-pointers. On Saturday, he added one more: No player has appeared in more games in a Golden State uniform than Curry. When the ball was tipped Saturday night in the Warriors’ matchup against the Brooklyn Nets at Chase Center, Curry had officially played in his 808th career game. He surpasses Hall of Fame forward Chris Mullin, who played 807 contests for Golden State from 1985-86 through 1996-97 and 2000-01.
