I don’t trust the Royals’ offense to stay within a run, and I don’t trust Chicago to win by 2. One prop bet I am confident in, though, is KOPECH UNDER 5.5 STRIKEOUTS (-150). Kopech should be a K-per-inning pitcher, but his lack of control holds him back. In 2 career starts against the Royals, he struck out 3 and 5 hitters. He has only struck out 6 once in his last 8 starts. The Royals also don’t strike out much as they’re the 7th-toughest team to whiff.

The White Sox and run line haven’t been a good combination this year and simply put, they’ve underachieved. They’re 15-33 on the RL at home. They also favor day games with a 3.61 ERA vs. 4.39 at night. The only worry here is what happens after Cease likely leaves the game in the 7th inning. Chicago’s bullpen has been an issue as it’s 18th in baseball with a 3.93 ERA.

PASS with a “lean” toward the Twins -1.5 (+122) because 4 of their 5 wins vs. the White Sox +1.5 (-150) have been by at least 2 runs.

However, Minnesota’s RL isn’t a big enough payout considering it is 14-19 RL as home favorites while Chicago is 16-9 RL as road underdogs.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 8.5 (-112) because 4 of the 5 White Sox-Twins matchups have gone Over Thursday’s total.
