Chicago Bulls at Golden State Warriors odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s Chicago Bulls at Golden State Warriors NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Chicago Bulls (19-25) visit Chase Center Monday to play the Golden State Warriors (22-24) at 10 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Bulls-Warriors odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Chicago has lost three straight games and five of its past six contests while going 2-4 against the spread, including a 120-104 blowout loss at the San Antonio Spurs Saturday.

The Bulls were buyers at the trade deadline, acquiring C Nikola Vucevic from the Orlando Magic for SF Otto Porter, C Wendell Carter and two future first-round picks.

Golden State has lost four in a row (0-4 ATS)—all without All-Star PG Stephen Curry—and the last three losses were all by double digits.

Every game is important for both teams as they are each currently the 10-seed in their respective conferences, which is the final entry into the postseason play-in tournament.

The Warriors took down the Bulls 129-128 but failed to cover as 3.5-point road favorites Dec. 27.

Bulls at Warriors: Odds, spread and lines

  • Over/Under: 227.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Bulls at Warriors: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 114, Warriors 109

Money line (ML)

Slight LEAN toward BULLS (-110) for a quarter-unit because if I’m reading the tea leaves correctly I’d assume Curry won’t be in this game.

If Curry plays, the Warriors should be at least 2.5-point favorites and it feels like this number is a placeholder until it’s announced Curry will miss this game and the Bulls will become favorites.

As always, don’t bet this game until we know for certain who’s playing, but at the moment it’s BULLS (-110) or pass.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

PASS because the money lines and spreads are nearly identical.

If Warriors-Bulls got up to 2.5 points in either direction I’d LEAN toward the underdog because this is a must-win for each team and there isn’t a lot separating the two.

Over/Under (O/U)

The UNDER 227.5 (-110) is my favorite bet in Bulls-Warriors. Their first meeting went over Over the 229.5-point total by 27.5 points yet this total is two points lower.

There are a few reasons to explain the difference in totals from one game to the next. First, Curry may not play, which again spells doom for Golden State’s offense.

Second, the Bulls are working Vucevic into their system and there are growing pains associated with that.

Finally, Golden State has gelled defensively since the first game against Chicago and is currently ninth in defensive rating.

Also, the Warriors have two elite wing defenders in Kelly Oubre and Andrew Wiggins who can force Bulls All-Star wing LaVine into a bad game.

BET UNDER 227.5 (-110) for 1 unit.

Chicago Bulls at San Antonio Spurs odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Chicago Bulls at San Antonio Spurs NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Chicago Bulls (19-24) drop by the AT&T Center Saturday to play the San Antonio Spurs (22-20) at 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Bulls-Spurs odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Chicago was a mover and shaker at the trade deadline sending now-former big Wendell Carter and SF Otto Porter Jr. to the Orlando Magic for All-Star big Nikola Vucevic.

The Bulls, as the 10-seed in the East, are in contention for the postseason play-in tournament but are just 3-6 overall and 4-5 ATS since the All-Star break.

San Antonio lost the first three of a nine-game homestand, and four straight, with the past two losses being to the Los Angeles Clippers entering Saturday.

All of the Spurs’ losses since the All-Star Game have been to winning teams, and the wins have been vs. below-.500 teams.

One of these San Antonio victories was over Chicago, 106-99, as 1.5-point road underdogs March 17.

Bulls at Spurs: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 12:50 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Bulls +110 (bet $100 to win $110) | Spurs -135 (bet $135 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Bulls +2 (-110) | Spurs -2 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 219.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Bulls at Spurs: Key injuries

Bulls

  • SG Zach LaVine (ankle) questionable

Bulls at Spurs: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Spurs 111, Bulls 104

Money line (ML)

There’s no questioning that the Bulls got better at the trade deadline, but it’s going to take time for these new teammates to gel, and San Antonio is quietly the 8-seed in the West.

Chicago has been money this season as a road dog—covering 11 of its 13 games in that spot with the 2nd-best ATS margin (plus-8.0 points)—but those numbers are on the opposite side of the spectrum when playing elite defenses.

CleaningTheGlass.com, which removes garbage time stats, grades the Spurs’ defense out 7th in points per 100 possessions.

Against CleaningTheGlass.com’s top-10 defenses, the Bulls are 1-11 overall with the 28th-ranked net points per 100 possessions and minus-5.8-point ATS margin.

BET SPURS (-135) for 1.25 units.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

PASS on the spread unless it somehow gets up to the Spurs getting 2.5 points.

Over/Under (O/U)

Slight LEAN on UNDER 218.5 (-110) for a quarter-unit only because the market has steamed this total down from the 222.5-point opener so we are getting to the party a little late.

However, San Antonio’s defense matches up very well against Chicago’s offense.  The Spurs are 5-0 to the Under in their last five games as a favorite, and the Bulls have gone Under in seven of their previous eight games.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Wednesday’s Cleveland Cavaliers at Chicago Bulls NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Cleveland Cavaliers (16-27) kick off a four-game road trip against the Chicago Bulls (19-23) at United Center Wednesday with an 8 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Cavaliers-Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Cavaliers at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 111, Cavaliers 102

Money line (ML)

The Bulls (-250) hook up with the Cavaliers (+195) for the first time this season. Neither side has been particularly attractive lately. While Chicago should be able to win at home, spending two-and-a-half times your potential return on an erratic sub-.500 team is risky behavior. AVOID.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The BULLS -6 (-110) are a better value to cover by three buckets against the Jekyll and Hyde Cavaliers +6 (-110).

Cleveland is a hard team to get a read on. They upended Boston and Toronto last week at home, then had their doors blown off by visiting Sacramento, 119-105, in their most recent outing. The Cavs went 0-3 SU/ATS in their most recent road trip, and they’re just 12-30 ATS in the previous 42 in this series.

Over/Under (O/U)

The lean is to the UNDER 218.5 (-110) in this battle of the Great Lakes. The Under has hit in five of the previous seven games in Chi-Town, and the Under has hit in six of the past seven overall for the Bulls. The Under is also 5-0 in the previous five at home for Chicago. Cleveland also ranks dead-last in the NBA with 104.1 PPG.

Utah Jazz at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s Utah Jazz at Chicago Bulls NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

For the second straight night, the Chicago Bulls (19-22) will be in action, this time at home against the Utah Jazz (30-11). The Bulls will host the Jazz at the United Center at 9 p.m. ET Monday night, seeking their second straight win. Below, we analyze the Jazz-Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Jazz at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Jazz 120, Bulls 113

Money line (ML)

The Jazz have sputtered as of late, with five of their 11 total losses this season coming in the last 10 games. They’re just 3-4 overall in their last seven, most recently beating the Raptors on Friday night.

The Bulls are 1-2 in their last three games and 4-6 in their last 10, coming off a win over the Pistons on Sunday.

Utah is well-rested and despite potentially missing Gobert, they’re equipped to take care of an inferior Bulls team on the road.

Take the JAZZ (-450) to win outright, though only make it a small position because of how little reward comes with the money line.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Jazz have only covered the spread once in their last seven games, dropping their record against the spread to 26-15 on the year. Still an impressive mark, but the Bulls have been better when it comes to covering as of late (4-1 ATS in their last five).

The Jazz should win this game, but the BULLS +9 (-110) will keep it close enough to cover the 9-point spread.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over/Under is 227.5 points tonight, which is the lowest in the Jazz’s last seven games. Both teams rank in the top 12 in points per game, with Utah checking in at No. 3 (116.7 PPG).

Even if Gobert can’t play, the total will go OVER 227.5 (-115). The Over has hit in six of the Jazz’s last nine games.

Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Detroit Pistons (12-29) welcome the division rival Chicago Bulls (18-22) to Little Caesars Arena Sunday for a 7 p.m. ET game. Below, we analyze the Bulls-Pistons odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Chicago has lost back-to-back games including a 131-127 overtime nail-biter to the Denver Nuggets as a 7-point road underdog Friday. Since the All-Star break, the Bulls are 2-4 straight up and 3-3 ATS; the four losses were against teams above .500 and the wins were against losing squads.

The Pistons enter on a two-game winning streak after handing the Houston Rockets their 19th consecutive loss Friday and taking down the Toronto Raptors 116-112 as 6.5-point home underdogs Wednesday.

Detroit is 2-3 straight up but 4-1 against the spread since the All-Star Game. The stretch includes covers against the powerhouse Brooklyn Nets and the surging Charlotte Hornets in consecutive games.

Chicago’s 105-102 win and cover against Detroit earlier this season was its fifth straight in the head-to-head series.

Bulls at Pistons: Odds, spread and lines

  • Money line: Bulls -150 (bet $150 to win $100) | Pistons +125 (bet $100 to win $125)

Bulls at Pistons: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 114, Pistons 109

Money line (ML)

PASS with a lean on Bulls (-150) because it’s on the fringe for how much I’d risk on an NBA regular-season favorite. Chicago’s money line could be a good parlay leg with another favorite such as the Denver Nuggets (-250).

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The BULLS -3 (-110) play well and cash tickets against bad teams: Chicago is 10-5 straight up and is plus-7 in net points per 100 possessions and plus-6.8 ATS margin vs. bottom-10 teams in net efficiency, according to CleaningTheGlass.com.

Chicago has been a good bet on the road lately—covering the spread in five of its past six road games—and to close out the week as the Bulls are 8-0 ATS in their last eight Sunday games.

TAKE BULLS -3 (-110) for a half-unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

Even though the previous Bulls-Pistons meeting earlier this season went Under the projected total of 220 by 13 points even though it was an awesome offensive night for both teams’ leading scorers.

First-year Piston SF Jerami Grant had a career-best 43 points on 60% shooting, but Bulls All-Star SG Zach LaVine nearly matched him with 37 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.

While they might not have the exact same production, I’d expect those guys to have success again in this meeting and for their teammates to play better.

Finally, according to Pregame.com, nearly 90% of the money is on the Under and I’d like to fade that one-sided of a market.

BET OVER 217.5 (-110) for 1 unit.

Bulls at Nuggets: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Nuggets 119, Bulls 115

Money line (ML)

The Nuggets have won eight of their last 10 games. The Bulls have lost three of their last five. Denver has fared well against the Eastern Conference, going 10-6.

The difference tonight that, on equal rest, Denver is 13-7 this season and Chicago is 8-9. I like Denver to win but at -350, it isn’t worth the action.

PASS on the money line.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Nuggets have the better overall record, but the Bulls outdo them against the spread. The Bulls are 22-17 ATS while the Nuggets are 19-21 ATS. Denver is only 8-11 ATS at home and the Bulls have a league-best 12-4 ATS record on the road.

Take the BULLS +7.5 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

The two teams combine to average 229.7 points per game, which is above the total of 226.5. They combine to allow 224.2 points, which is just below the total. Denver has the third-highest over percentage in the league at 62.5%.

The Nuggets are 12-7 O/U at home and Chicago is 9-7 O/U on the road. That said, Chicago’s last four games have gone Under the total and four of the last six for Denver have as well. That said, go with the overall numbers rather than the recent trends.

Take OVER 224.5 (-110).

Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Toronto Raptors (17-21) look to snap a four-game losing skid Sunday with a visit to play the Chicago Bulls (16-20) at United Center. Tip-off will be at 9 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Raptors-Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Raptors have been undermanned and overwhelmed with three key starters in the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols. They’re coming off a 114-104 loss to the Charlotte Hornets Saturday and will play their third game since returning from the All-Star break Thursday. Toronto has slipped to 10th in the Eastern Conference.

The Bulls, 11th in the Eastern Conference, have lost back-to-back games and four of their last five dating back to late February. They lost 127-105 to the Philadelphia 76ers and 101-90 to the Miami Heat in their first two games back from the break, but they were off Saturday.

This is the first game of just two head-to-head meetings between the Raptors and Bulls this season.

Raptors at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 117, Raptors 111

Money line (ML)

The shorthanded Raptors gave the Atlanta Hawks a tough fight in a 121-120 loss Thursday but they fell right back to Earth against the Hornets Saturday. They trailed 44-24 after the first quarter and never really made a game of it despite winning two of the final three quarters.

Toronto was dealt another blow with Boucher, the team’s fifth-leading scorer suffering an injury. The Raptors shot just .326 from 3-point range Saturday. They won the turnover battle but were outrebounded.

The BULLS (-160) need to be backed with a money line wager. They’re fifth in the NBA in 3-point defense. The Raptors, already overly reliant on the 3-ball with 40.4 attempts per game, have upped that number to 42.3 over their four-game losing skid.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The BULLS -3.5 (-110) are a better bet against the spread, where they’ll need to win by 4 or more points in order to cover.

Toronto is 2-2 ATS during its losing skid, but one of those covers was on a line of 8.5 points. This is a very manageable number for a Bulls team 20-16 ATS for the season.

Over/Under (O/U)

Bet UNDER 229.5 (-105). The Raptors’ COVID issues have deteriorated both the offense and defense, but the potential additional absence of Boucher would count more against the offense Sunday.

There’s just not enough NBA talent left to put up the required points to hit such a high number.

76ers at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 109, 76ers 104

Money line (ML)

The 76ers are only underdogs in this one because of the absences of Embiid and Simmons, their two most important players. Philadelphia is 1-5 without Embiid this season and 2-3 when Simmons doesn’t play.

I’ll take the BULLS (-160) to win outright at home, despite their unimpressive 7-11 home record.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

These teams have similar records against the spread this season, with the 76ers going 19-16-1 and the Bulls 20-14-0. Both teams were 4-2 ATS in their last six games before the break.

The Bulls will capitalize on the absences of Embiid and Simmons, winning this one 4 or more points. Take the BULLS -3.5 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

The total has gone Over in six of the last 10 games for both teams. With no Embiid and Simmons, the 76ers will come in below their usual scoring total, though Philly’s defense could open things up for the Bulls as a result of the absences.

I like the UNDER 227.5 (-105) coming out of the All-Star break.

UPDATE: Chicago Bulls at Toronto Raptors postponed

Previewing Sunday’s Chicago Bulls at Toronto Raptors NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

UPDATE: Sunday’s Chicago Bulls at Toronto Raptors game was postponed as Toronto won’t have the required minimum of eight players available due to COVID-19 contact tracing.

The Toronto Raptors (17-17) host the Chicago Bulls (15-17) at their 2020-21 season home of Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., Sunday for a 7 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Bulls-Raptors odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Raptors thumped the Houston Rockets 122-111 Friday to snap a mini two-game losing skid. They had previously won four straight, including two over the Milwaukee Bucks. PF Pascal Siakam has been ruled out until after the All-Star break due to COVID-19 protocols.

The Bulls had a three-game winning streak end with a 106-97 loss to the Phoenix Suns on home court Friday. Their previous three wins each came by a margin of at least 8 points.

The two Eastern Conference playoff hopefuls haven’t met in over a year. Toronto has won 12 straight against Chicago dating back to the 2016-17 season.

Bulls at Raptors: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 109, Raptors 107

Money line (ML)

The BULLS (+150) are worth a bet as an underdog value play. The Raptors rely heavily on 3-pointers and will need to even more heavily with Siakam out of the lineup.

They’re fourth in the league in 3-point attempts per game (40.2) and sixth in success rate behind the arc (38.3%), but the Bulls hold opponents to just a 35.3% clip from 3-point range to rank sixth in 3-point defense. Offensively, the Bulls are ninth in 3-point percentage, and the Raps are just 18th in 3-point defense.

Chicago’s key will be ball control, as it ranks last in the NBA with 16.2 turnovers per game and Toronto is second while forcing 16.4 opponent turnovers per game. That area of the Raps’ game will also suffer without Siakam.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The BULLS +4.5 (-115) are a much better play on the spread, where they’ll need to stay within 4 points in a loss if unable to get the outright win.

Chicago attempts just 19.6 free throws per game to rank 28th in the Association so we need to hedge our money line bet out of fear of the Bulls slipping late in the game.

Over/Under (O/U)

Take the UNDER 222.5 (-105) with Chicago’s strong 3-point defense limiting the Raptors’ offensive output. Both teams also had a rest day Saturday and are without their main interior presence.

Phoenix Suns at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Friday’s Phoenix Suns at Chicago Bulls NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Chicago Bulls (15-16) host the Phoenix Suns (20-11) Friday at United Center. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Suns-Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Phoenix lost 124-121 to the Charlotte Hornets as a 9-point home favorite Wednesday to snap a three-game win streak. The Suns are the second-hottest team in the league currently and are 10-3 straight up and against the spread in February while outscoring opponents 117.6-108.9 on average.

Chicago has won three straight and five of its last six games while going 5-1 ATS. Bulls’ leading scorer G Zach LaVine was just named to his first All-Star Game and is averaging 28.8 points on .523/.440/.866 shooting with 5.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.

  • Against the spread/ATS: Suns -6.5 (-110) | Bulls +6.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 226.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Suns at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Suns 117, Bulls 114

Money line (ML)

lean BULLS (+220) for a tiny wager if at all because I like Chicago to cover the spread and think the Bulls are a live dog. LaVine has been unguardable lately and will cancel out Suns G Devin Booker‘s production.

Bulls C Wendell Carter Jr. should be able to hold his own against Suns C Deandre Ayton and I’ll take Chicago’s forwards over Phoenix’s. Also, both teams are deep with the Suns having the best bench plus/minus and with the Bulls right behind them.

(The score is an honest projection).

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

This game opened with Phoenix laying 5 points and the market has steamed the Suns up to the current price, which makes me feel better about the Bulls here. Generally, it’s best to be on the same side as the House when gambling and Suns-Bulls should be at the opening number.

Furthermore, while the Suns actually have a better ATS record than the Bulls (Phoenix is 20-11 ATS and Chicago is 19-12 ATS), they are only 4-5 ATS as a road favorite and the Bulls are 14-7 ATS as an underdog.

BET the BULLS +6.5 (-110) heavier or instead of the money line.

Over/Under (O/U)

Slight lean on OVER 226.5 (-110) for a quarter-unit because I’m high on both offenses. Phoenix has been a top-10 defense this season but the Over cashed in eight of the Suns’ previous 10 games.

Chicago has a 7-3 O/U record as a home underdog and is sixth in effective field-goal percentage as a team.
