The Chicago Bulls (0-1) welcome the Toronto Raptors (1-0) to the United Center Friday. Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Raptors vs. Bulls odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: First meeting; tied 2-2 last season

The Raptors beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 97-94 at home Wednesday, covering as a 1-point favorite. Toronto, which lost F Fred VanVleet this offseason to the Houston Rockets, received a 22-point performance from G Dennis Schroder in its home opener. The Raptors were 41-40-2 against the spread (ATS) last season and 16-24-1 ATS on the road.

The Bulls had a players-only meeting after their 1st game, a 124-104 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder at home Wednesday. Chicago failed to cover as a 2.5-point favorite. It was led by F DeMar DeRozan, who had 20 points. The Bulls ended last season with a 21-19-1 ATS home record.

Raptors at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 108, Raptors 105

Moneyline

BET BULLS (-135).

Simply put, the Bulls are better than they showed. G Zach LaVine shot 4-of-16 from the field, and Chicago shot 41% from the field and 29% from deep. Both of those should improve against the Raptors.

Similarly, Schroder and F OG Anunoby combined for 15-for-30 shooting, and they likely won’t be that efficient in this matchup. The Raptors also held the Wolves to 34% from the field and won by just 3. On the road, they may not have the same fortune.

Chicago was 22-19 at home last season and 14-8 as a home favorite. With a similar roster, expect the Bulls to bounce back. Take BULLS (-135).

Against the spread

PASS.

I wouldn’t risk it. Just take Bulls on the moneyline as they were solid at home last season and should bounce back.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 217.5 (-110).

The pace of play just isn’t there for either team. The Bulls rank 17th, and the Raptors rank 15th. Last season the Bulls were 18th and the Raptors 25th.

The Raptors also finished with the 11th-best defensive rating and have a similar roster with strong defensive forwards. The Wolves-Raptors went for Under the total with the Bulls-Thunder only going Over due to OKC dropping 124.

Expect a slow-paced game and take UNDER 217.5 (-110).

Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Toronto Raptors (23-22) head to the Windy City Wednesday to play the Chicago Bulls (29-17) at the United Center. The tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Raptors vs. Bulls odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Toronto has alternated between winning and losing over the past four games with the latest being a 125-113 beatdown of the Charlotte Hornets at home last night. The Raptors are 3-4 straight-up (SU) and 4-3 against the spread (ATS) over the past two weeks.

Chicago eked past the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-110 Monday sans SF DeMar DeRozan and pushing as 1-point road favorites. The Bulls are 2-6 SU and 3-4-1 ATS in the last 14 days.

The Bulls (-2) beat the Raptors 111-108 in their first meeting this season, Oct. 25, and the Over on a 213.5-point total cashed.

Raptors at Bulls odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 113, Bulls 110

Money line

PASS with a heavy “lean” towards the Raptors (+140), and I’d sprinkle on Toronto’s money line if VanVleet plays. But, without VanVleet, I’ll just take the points with the Raptors.

Also, Toronto is 9-9 straight-up (SU) as a road underdog and Chicago is 13-4 SU as a home favorite.

Against the spread

BET the RAPTORS +3.5 (-105) for 1 unit because both teams have struggled recently, but the Bulls -3.5 (-120) have been downright awful.

Over the past two weeks, the Bulls are dead-last in both adjusted net rating (minus-14.4) and ATS margin (minus-8.1), according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG).

Furthermore, the absences of Ball and Caruso loom large for the Bulls. Each is key to Chicago’s previously elite defense that has tailed off recently.

For instance, in Jan., the Bulls has the second-worst adjusted defensive rating (per CTG) and rank 23rd in points off turnovers allowed per game and 24th in fast-break points per game (PPG) allowed.

Two of Toronto’s strengths are forcing turnovers and getting out in transition. The Raptors are second in points off of turnovers per game and fourth in fast-break PPG.

On top of that, there might be some additional value on Toronto here since it played last night, and the Raptors perform well on the second of a back-to-back. Toronto is an NBA-best 6-1 ATS on zero days rest with the best ATS margin (plus-8.6) and the third-best adjusted net rating (per CTG).

BET the RAPTORS +3.5 (-105).

Over/Under

PASS because the trends are pointing all over the place in this one, and all three referees assigned to this game have officiated more Unders.

That could have an impact since both teams have poor defensive FT/FGA rates, but I “lean” towards this game going Over 218.5 (-110).

Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Toronto Raptors (27-42) travel to meet the Chicago Bulls (29-40) Thursday at United Center. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Raptors vs. Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Raptors were thumped in a home game in Tampa Bay, Florida, losing for the fourth consecutive game, and the seventh time in the past eight outings. They have since been eliminated from playoff contention.

The Bulls still have a glimmer of hope for a play-in spot, but they trail the Washington Wizards by 2.5 games with three to play and a game in hand.

They need to win out, while the Wizards need to lose out. But at least Chicago is playing for something here.

Raptors at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 112, Raptors 97

Money line (ML)

The Bulls (-500) will cost you five times your potential return. And while it’s a good bet that they’ll win, since they’re playing for something, and the Raptors (+375) are resting all of their key players, you still can’t risk it.

AVOID.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The BULLS -10 (-110) are still alive, and desperate for a play-in spot, at least through Thursday, and they’ll play like it.

Chicago had won and covered three in a row, with victories by 12 or more points until losing to the Brooklyn Nets last time out on Tuesday.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 216.5 (-110) is the play here, as the Raptors will field a roster looking more like a G-League team.

The Bulls have locked down better teams than them, holding three of the past four opponents under 100. Chicago has hit the Under in eight straight, and they’ll do it again here.

Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Toronto Raptors (17-21) look to snap a four-game losing skid Sunday with a visit to play the Chicago Bulls (16-20) at United Center. Tip-off will be at 9 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Raptors-Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Raptors have been undermanned and overwhelmed with three key starters in the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols. They’re coming off a 114-104 loss to the Charlotte Hornets Saturday and will play their third game since returning from the All-Star break Thursday. Toronto has slipped to 10th in the Eastern Conference.

The Bulls, 11th in the Eastern Conference, have lost back-to-back games and four of their last five dating back to late February. They lost 127-105 to the Philadelphia 76ers and 101-90 to the Miami Heat in their first two games back from the break, but they were off Saturday.

This is the first game of just two head-to-head meetings between the Raptors and Bulls this season.

Raptors at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 117, Raptors 111

Money line (ML)

The shorthanded Raptors gave the Atlanta Hawks a tough fight in a 121-120 loss Thursday but they fell right back to Earth against the Hornets Saturday. They trailed 44-24 after the first quarter and never really made a game of it despite winning two of the final three quarters.

Toronto was dealt another blow with Boucher, the team’s fifth-leading scorer suffering an injury. The Raptors shot just .326 from 3-point range Saturday. They won the turnover battle but were outrebounded.

The BULLS (-160) need to be backed with a money line wager. They’re fifth in the NBA in 3-point defense. The Raptors, already overly reliant on the 3-ball with 40.4 attempts per game, have upped that number to 42.3 over their four-game losing skid.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The BULLS -3.5 (-110) are a better bet against the spread, where they’ll need to win by 4 or more points in order to cover.

Toronto is 2-2 ATS during its losing skid, but one of those covers was on a line of 8.5 points. This is a very manageable number for a Bulls team 20-16 ATS for the season.

Over/Under (O/U)

Bet UNDER 229.5 (-105). The Raptors’ COVID issues have deteriorated both the offense and defense, but the potential additional absence of Boucher would count more against the offense Sunday.

There’s just not enough NBA talent left to put up the required points to hit such a high number.
