Philadelphia 76ers at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Philadelphia 76ers at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Philadelphia 76ers (48-23) take on the Chicago Bulls (34-37) on Wednesday. Tip from United Center is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the 76ers vs. Bulls odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The 76ers fell 109-105 in overtime to the Bulls on Monday failing to cover as 8-point home favorites. The loss snapped an 8 game losing streak. The Sixers are 8-2 straight up and 6-4 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games. This season, they are 42-29 ATS.

Chicago’s 109-105 overtime victory against Philadelphia was its last game as well. It is now on a 3-game winning streak and is 6-4 in its last 10 games. During that stretch, the Bulls are 4-5-1 ATS and are 34-34-3 ATS this season.

Chicago leads the season series 2-1 with a win on Monday and 126-112 road victory to cover as a 5-point underdog in early January. Prior to that, the 76ers beat the Bulls 114-109 to cover as a 2.5-point road favorite in  October.

76ers at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

76ers 114, Bulls 103

Moneyline

PASS.

The spread features more value than a moneyline play on a Sixers team that is 8-2 in its last 10 games.

Against the spread

BET 76ERS -3.5 (-105).

The Sixers have bounced back well in recent games after losing outright and against the spread. They are 3-1 in their last 4 games following an outright loss, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS loss, and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games. They are also 8-3 ATS playing as a 3-4.5-point favorite this season while Chicago is just 1-5 ATS playing as a 3-4.5-point underdog.

This will be Philadelphia’s 8th time playing the same team in back-to-back games this season; in the 2nd leg of those games they are 7-1 this season.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 221.5 (-110).

The Under is 4-3 in Philly’s last 7 games and 3-1 in Chicago’s last 4.

The Under is 12-2 in the Bulls’ last 14 games following a ATS win, 14-3 in their last 17 home games against a team with a winning outright record, and 12-3 in their last 15 games following an outright victory. The Under is also 21-14-1 in Bull’s home games this season.

Philadelphia 76ers at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Philadelphia 76ers at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bulls (3-3) welcome the Philadelphia 76ers (2-4) to the United Center Saturday. Tip is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the 76ers vs. Bulls odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Bulls are coming into this battle having lost to the Spurs 129-124 on the road Friday. They have won 2 straight games at home, defeating the Pacers and Celtics.

Chicago is led by F DeMar DeRozan, who is averaging 26.2 points per game and shooting 52.4% from the field. The return of G Zach LaVine has been paramount to its success as he is shooting 57.9% from deep.

The 76ers are still trying to rebound following their 0-3 start to the season, losing against the Celtics, Bucks and Spurs. They have since beaten the Pacers and Raptors, also dropping one to Toronto.

MVP candidate C Joel Embiid leads the team, averaging 27.6 points per game and shooting 52.1% from the field. The team’s starting backcourt, G James Harden and G Tyrese Maxey, average 46.7 combined. Embiid missed the Friday game with a knee ailment, and his status for Saturday is unknown. Maxey scored a career-high 44 points in his absence.

76ers at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 112, 76ers 108

Moneyline

BET BULLS (+105).

The 76ers and Bulls sit 13th and 14th in net rating this season. What is concerning about Philadelphia is that it is awful at rebounding, ranking last in offensive rebounding rate and 21st in defensive rebounding rate.

The 76ers don’t turn the ball much and sit 4th in effective field goal rate. They don’t get many extra opportunities, and as the season goes on, that should hurt their chance to win consistently.

Philadelphia is 31-37-1 against the spread (ATS) as a favorite since the start of 2021. Considering the small spread, that’s more telling than their straight-up record.

Given the Bulls returning G Alex Caruso and having the size in LaVine and DeRozan to defend the likes of Harden and F Tobias Harris, I would back Chicago here.

Against the spread

PASS.

Crazy enough, the Bulls only lost 2 games by 1 or 2 last season. Play the better moneyline odds with that in mind.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 220.5 (-110).

Both of these teams play isolation-heavy basketball, which can produce sporadic results.

Also, neither team is a strong offensive rebounding side, and the 76ers rank last in pace as the Embiid-led team doesn’t want to get into a track meet within these games.

Combine all that, and the UNDER 220.5 (-110) is the better side of the total.

Philadelphia 76ers at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Philadelphia 76ers at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Philadelphia 76ers (31-21) visit the Windy City Sunday to play the Chicago Bulls (33-19). The tip-off at United Center is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the 76ers vs. Bulls odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Philly has lost back-to-back games to the Washington Wizards and at the Dallas Mavericks following a five-game win streak. The Sixers are 5-2 straight up (SU) and 3-4 against the spread (ATS) over the last two weeks.

Chicago has won three of its past four games including 122-115 at the Indiana Pacers in its last outing, easily covering as a 1.5-point road favorite. The Bulls are 5-3 SU and 4-3-1 ATS in the last 14 days.

The Sixers are 2-0 SU and ATS versus the Bulls this season and the total is 1-1 Over/Under (O/U) in those meetings.

76ers at Bulls odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

76ers 115, Bulls 109

Money line

BET the 76ERS (-135) for 1 unit.

The Bulls have been atrocious against strong defenses and Philly is ninth in adjusted defensive rating over the past two weeks, according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG).

Chicago is 4-11 SU versus top-10 defenses with a minus-9.3 adjusted net rating (ranked 25th) and a minus-5.5 ATS margin (ranked 28th), per CTG.

The Bulls also only put up 101.5 points per game (PPG) in their first two meetings with the Sixers despite that they average 111.7 PPG. This was a Bulls team playing with their three current or former All-Stars and Ball.

Philly just has Chicago’s number in their recent head-to-head history. The Sixers have won nine straight versus the Bulls (8-1 ATS) and Philly big Joel Embiid has never lost to Chicago.

Embiid is averaging 26.8 points on 62.4% true shooting (.541/.379/.732) with 11.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and a plus-20 net rating in nine career games against the Bulls.

The Sixers were also without forwards Thybulle, Danny Green and Tobias Harris in Philly’s Nov. 6th 114-105 victory over the Bulls in Chicago.

BET the SIXERS (-135).

Against the spread

PASS.

Philly’s money line (ML) is only 28 cents on the dollar pricier than the 76ers -2.5 (-107) so let’s just pay the extra vig. However, if Philly’s ML goes north of -150 then I’d just lay the points with the Sixers.

Over/Under

Slight “LEAN” to the OVER 219.5 (-108) for a small wager, if at all, because Philly’s ML is my favorite wager in this contest.

Nine of the last 12 Sixers-Bulls meetings have gone Over the total and Chicago has a bottom-five defensive rating over the last two weeks.

The Sixers are 8-5-1 O/U as a road favorite and the Bulls are 14-10-1 O/U at home, but Philly has been playing good defense recently and the Sixers are 1-4 O/U in their last five games.

Philadelphia 76ers at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Philadelphia 76ers at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Two beasts of the East clash Saturday when the Philadelphia 76ers (7-2) visit the “Windy City” to play the Chicago Bulls (6-2). Tip-off from the United Center is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the 76ers vs. Bulls odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions, and bets.

Philly held off Chicago in its 103-98 victory Wednesday and covered as 2.5-point home favorites. The Under cashed on the 216-point total.

Sixers guard Seth Curry scored a team-high 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting and Joel Embiid put up just 18 points on 6-of-18 shooting and 9 boards.

Bulls wing DeMar DeRozan led Chicago with 37 points and 10 rebounds while guard Zach LaVine added 27 points and 9 rebounds.

Philly has won five straight games and is 6-3 ATS and 2-6-1 O/U. Chicago is 6-2 ATS and 3-5 O/U.

76ers at Bulls odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 108, 76ers 101

Money line

PASS even though I’m fairly confident Chicago wins this game outright because the Bulls (-180) is just too expensive for an NBA regular-season favorite. Also, Philly has beaten Chicago in eight consecutive meetings.

Against the spread

We have no choice but to BET the BULLS -4.5 (-105) based on Philly’s injury report. The Sixers may be without three wing defenders which is a huge problem when trying to guard DeRozan and LaVine.

In fact, Thybulle is probably the best wing defender in the NBA and both DeRozan and LaVine balled in the 76ers-Bulls meeting on Wednesday.

Furthermore, there’s been a “sharp line move” towards Chicago who opened as 3-point favorites but has been steamed up to the current number.

I’m a little skittish about following a crowd with the Bulls -4.5 (-105). But, if any other Bull stepped up to help DeRozan and LaVine Wednesday then Chicago would’ve rolled Philly.

Over/Under

BET the UNDER 214.5 (-107) as a fade against a market that’s hammering the Over and has caused oddsmakers to move the 76ers-Bulls total up from the 210.5-point opener.

Also, both teams play at a below-average pace with Philly playing at the slowest tempo. Each offense ranks in the bottom-10 for 3-point attempts per game and both defenses are top-5 in 3-point attempts allowed per game.

There’s going to be a lot of slow-paced, halfcourt offense and the market is overreacting to Philly’s injuries. I agree Chicago has an edge as the much healthier side but I still see 76ers-Bulls staying UNDER 214.5 (-107).

The 76ers beat the San Antonio Spurs 113-111 Sunday on the road for their fourth consecutive win. They hold a half-game lead in the East over the Brooklyn Nets.

The Bulls lost Saturday 108-97 to the Atlanta Hawks for their third straight loss and fourth in five games. They cling to hopes to make the play-in games, sitting in 12th place in the East, three games behind the 10th-seeded Washington Wizards with eight games left in the season.

76ers at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

76ers 110, Bulls 99

Money line (ML)

The 76ers, as good as they have been this season, have relatively struggled on the road. They are 18-14 away from home, but the Bulls struggle at home, where they are only 12-19 on their home court. The 76ers have won four in a row and the Bulls are on a three-game losing streak. It is chalky but expect a Philly win. Take the 76ERS (-275).

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

Philadelphia is 14-16-2 ATS on the road this season and has failed to cover the spread in their last three road contests. The Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last five games but are 33-31 ATS overall. However, at the United Center, they are only 13-18 ATS. They scored 98 or fewer points in three straight games and will struggle to keep up with a healthy 76ers team. Take the 76ERS -7 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

Both teams go Under more often than they go Over this season. The 76ers actually have the second-lowest Over percentage on the road this season at 37.5%. Add in Chicago’s low 41.9% home Over percentage, and you have a recipe for a relatively low-scoring game. The Bulls are averaging exactly 100 points per game in their last five contests. Take UNDER 215.5 POINTS (-110).

76ers at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 109, 76ers 104

Money line (ML)

The 76ers are only underdogs in this one because of the absences of Embiid and Simmons, their two most important players. Philadelphia is 1-5 without Embiid this season and 2-3 when Simmons doesn’t play.

I’ll take the BULLS (-160) to win outright at home, despite their unimpressive 7-11 home record.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

These teams have similar records against the spread this season, with the 76ers going 19-16-1 and the Bulls 20-14-0. Both teams were 4-2 ATS in their last six games before the break.

The Bulls will capitalize on the absences of Embiid and Simmons, winning this one 4 or more points. Take the BULLS -3.5 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

The total has gone Over in six of the last 10 games for both teams. With no Embiid and Simmons, the 76ers will come in below their usual scoring total, though Philly’s defense could open things up for the Bulls as a result of the absences.

I like the UNDER 227.5 (-105) coming out of the All-Star break.
