Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

On Wednesday evening, the Chicago Bulls (6-1) will head east to take on the Philadelphia 76ers (5-2) at Wells Fargo Center. The tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bulls at 76ers odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The new-look Bulls are tied with the Miami Heat for the best record in the Eastern Conference. Behind SG Zach LaVine and newcomers DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball, the Bulls have become a formidable side on both sides of the court.

They’ll be taking on an injury-riddled Sixers, a franchise dealing with on- and off-court issues. Three-time All-Star PG Ben Simmons has yet to play, and this will be a game in which his absence is felt.

SF Tobias Harris and former NBA Champion and starting SG Danny Green will be sidelined, forcing the team to rely heavily on MVP candidate Joel Embiid.

Bulls at 76ers odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 108, 76ers 104

Money line

BET on the BULLS (+110) as the best value in this game. The Bulls are red-hot, and they’re doing it on both sides of the court. Ball and SG Alex Caruso are immensely underrated and thrive defensively.

With LaVine and C Nikola Vucevic able to get a bucket when necessary, the Bulls should be able to hang with the Sixers. Also, I don’t think the sportsbooks are fully quantifying what Harris means to the Sixers.

He’s averaging 19.8 points per game, and his absence will force Embiid to get more touches. Embiid already doesn’t seem 100 percent despite not being on the injury report (he has been on the injury report for the last few games).

They’ll have to heavily rely upon SF Furkan Korkmaz and Seth Curry, two players that could easily go cold against an elite defensive backcourt.

The Bulls rank seventh in offensive rating and fifth in defensive rating, a perfect combination to combat the Sixers who have the highest offensive rating and are missing key pieces on both sides of the ball.

Against the spread

PASS on the spread as I’d rather take the Bulls outright in the plus-money territory. With only 2.5 points separating the two sides, the money line, either way, presents better value.

Over/Under

“LEAN” to the OVER 215.5 (-110) as both sides of elite offenses.

The Sixers may be missing Harris and Green, the latter of which is more important defensively, but they’ll replace them with another sharpshooter and defensive specialist. Add in how hot Curry has been lately, and the Sixers should still find a way to score.

We know what the Bulls are capable of. Chicago scores all over the court and is top-eight in turnover rate and true shooting percentage.

Despite both teams playing slower, they should be able to get going, and without Harris, the Sixers may actually look to push the pace more often.

New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Thursday’s New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Knicks (3-1) roll into the “Windy City” Thursday for a 5 p.m. ET tip-off against an undefeated Chicago Bulls (4-0) at United Center. Below, we look at the Knicks vs. Bulls odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

New York has covered in all its victories including a 112-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday as a 1-point home favorite. The Knicks have the fifth-best net points per 100 possessions in non-garbage time through four games, according to CleaningTheGlass.com.

Chicago has also covered in all of its victories with the latest being a 111-108 win at the Toronto Raptors as a 2-point favorite. CleaningTheGlass.com ranks the Bulls fourth in net points per 100 possessions but Chicago hasn’t played a team with a winning record from last season.

The Knicks won and covered in two of three regular-season meetings with the Bulls last year. All three games between New York and Chicago last season went Under the total.

New York first-time All-Star forward Julius Randle scored 28.0 points per game (PPG) on 63.2% true shooting (.508/.556/.824) with a plus-15 net rating in three games against Chicago last season.

Knicks at Bulls odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Knicks 110, Bulls 103

Money line

BET the KNICKS (+102) for 1 unit because I have a “wait and see” approach with the Bulls at the moment and New York has more continuity.

Chicago brought in several new pieces this offseason it’s relying on compared to a New York team that added to its playoff nucleus.

The Knicks know exactly what they are and shoot better from the field. New York is seventh in assist-to-turnover rate and fourth in effective field goal shooting (eFG%).

There’s nothing impressive about Chicago’s opponents such as the Detroit Pistons, New Orleans Pelicans and the Raptors. Whereas the Knicks beat the snot out of the Sixers Tuesday.

Against the spread

PASS with a slight “lean” to the Knicks +1.5 (-108) since I’m betting them to win outright. However, I’d need more than 1.5 points worth of insurance with New York. If the Knicks become a 2.5-point or greater underdog then I’d buy some insurance for my New York money line wager.

Over/Under

Slight “LEAN” to the UNDER 216.5 (-112) for a quarter unit only because I much prefer the Knicks outright rather than the total in this game.

The presumed “sharp” side of the market is backing the Under while more bets have been placed on the Over, according to Pregame.com.

Typically, in sports betting, it’s profitable to follow the money especially when it’s flowing in the opposite direction as the public.

Also, through their first four games, the Bulls play at the 26th-fastest pace, and the Knicks clock in at the 27th-fastest pace. However, the total has moved up from the 215-point opener despite more money being on the Under and New York has been red-hot from behind the arc in all three wins.

Chicago Bulls at Toronto Raptors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Chicago Bulls at Toronto Raptors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bulls (3-0) take a trip across the border to play the Toronto Raptors (1-2) Monday. Tip-off from Scotiabank Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bulls at Raptors odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Chicago Bulls, with the help of offseason additions PG Lonzo Ball, SG DeMar DeRozan and SG Alex Caruso, have started the season undefeated.

They’ve taken down the Detroit Pistons twice and have a win over the New Orleans Pelicans, so despite their 3-0 start they haven’t exactly had the most pressing schedule. Nonetheless, they’ve handled business and will enter as favorites against the Raptors.

The Raptors are still without All-Star PF Pascal Siakam, giving top-five pick rookie SF Scottie Barnes ample opportunity to shine. The Raps have beaten the Boston Celtics and lost to the Washington Wizards and Dallas Mavericks to start their season.

  • PF Pascal Siakam (left shoulder) out

Bulls at Raptors odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 114, Raptors 105

Money line

“LEAN” to the BULLS (-130) here as they’re the most talented and healthy side.

Their trio of offseason additions that have accompanied SG Zach LaVine, PF Patrick Williams and Vucevic have proven to be too much for teams to handle.

While the Bulls haven’t beaten any quality opponents, I wouldn’t count the Raptors as quality either without Siakam. The more talented side should come out on top, and that’s Chicago.

Against the spread

BET on the BULLS -1.5 (-120) as the best value in this game.

The Bulls are surging with LaVine averaging the 12th-most points in the NBA. He’s been terrific, and like with Donavon Mitchell and the Utah Jazz, a true contender can be made with the right players around a score-first guard.

LaVine is going make the Bulls a top team in the East with Caruso, DeRozan, Vucevic, Williams and others by his side. With the Bulls 3-0 against the spread and this being their smallest amount yet, I expect them to make it 4-0.

While the Raptors have quality youth, starting just one player with more than four years of experience should, as they’ve seen, yield inconsistent performances.

With that in mind, the Bulls are the safer play on the spread.

Over/Under

“LEAN” to the OVER 212.5 (-112) as the better play on the total. It’s also a little juiced, giving some reassurance the sportsbooks feel it’s also the better bet.

With Barnes and SF OG Anunoby averaging a combined 34 points per game, the Raptors are starting to figure it out. Those two players are really the question mark with the Over hitting.

The two forwards will be asked to shoulder much of the scoring load, and against a Bulls side that gave up 26 to SF Brandon Ingram, I expect one or both to get loose.

Given Chicago’s offensive talent, they should top 105 and even near 110.

The Celtics, Mavs and Wiz all struggled against the Raptors’ stingy defense. Chicago will put their defensive prowess to the test as arguably the best offense they’ve faced so far this season.

Detroit Pistons at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Detroit Pistons at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Detroit Pistons (0-1) take the short trip south to visit the Chicago Bulls (2-0) at the United Center Saturday. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Pistons vs. Bulls odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The revamped Chicago Bulls have been terrific so far this season, crushing the New Orleans Pelicans Friday and downing the Pistons to kick off the season Wednesday.

The additions of PG Lonzo Ball and SG Alex Caruso have helped create a true contender. SG Zach LaVine, C Nikola Vucevic, and SG DeMar DeRozan bring the star power.

The Pistons led at times in their season opener against Chicago and get another crack at the Bulls. Detroit drafted G Cade Cunningham first overall but he’s yet to see the floor as he deals with an ankle injury.

Detroit is led by SF Jerami Grant who put up 24 points in the two teams’ first matchup.

Pistons at Bulls odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 108, Pistons 102

Money line

PASS on the money line.

I would prefer to “lean” the Pistons after playing a solid game against the Bulls to open the season. However, I’m not confident enough that they can string together competent offensive possessions. Grant should lead again after bringing the only real threat in the opener, but it’s unlikely to be enough.

At -450 everyone should stay away from the Bulls money line.

Against the spread

BET on the PISTONS +8.5 (-110) as the best value in this game.

The Pistons covered for just about the entire game at home in their opener and lost the spread for those backing Detroit in the last minute of action. It was a painful beat as the Pistons ended as 5.5 underdogs and lost by 6.

I’m all over them getting 8.5 points, especially considering their offensive potency. While Grant is the only consistent threat, G Saddiq Bey can come alive and C Isaiah Stewart should have a greater impact.

With veterans on the bench as well, the more well-rested Detroit should be electric from the start. Chicago is 2-0 against the spread and Detroit is 0-1.

The Pistons held the Bulls to just 14 points in the first quarter in the opener.  Detroit should look to improve offensively after scoring just 88 and hopefully tame Chicago’s offense.

Over/Under

“LEAN” on the UNDER 213.5 (-108). The Under is getting a little juice here as it’s almost too low for an NBA game.

However, the Bulls, with Ball, DeRozan, and Vucevic, aren’t an elite shooting side, averaging under 11 threes per game. The Pistons showed little offensively as well, often relying solely on Grant to get the job done.

While Chicago has a ton of talent, scoring against a lengthy Pistons team is not easy. Also, Chicago just put up 128 against New Orleans, a team missing superstar F Zion Williamson, which might have helped boost this total a bit.

Expect the Bulls’ halfcourt offense to come out on top with both teams playing a slower style. They should look to flash their depth as well which could keep players like LaVine with fewer minutes.

Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons odds, pick and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

To help kick off the season for most of the NBA, the Chicago Bulls (0-0) travel to take on the Detroit Pistons (0-0). The game is set to tip at 7 p.m. ET and will be held at Little Caesars Arena. Below, we look at the Bulls at Pistons odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Bulls made a strong move to add C Nikola Vucevic before the 2021 trade deadline. That didn’t help much. Now, they’ve retained the big man and added G DeMar DeRozan and G Lonzo Ball to go along with superstar G Zach LaVine.

This team is now laced with players that are both underrated and ultra-talented. They could realistically be a top-five team in the East.

They’ll open up against a team many thins will be a bottom team in the East. The Pistons added F Jerami Grant, their star, last offseason, and this offseason, they drafted G Cade Cunningham with the first overall pick. Cunningham will not play in the team’s home opener.

Excitement is brewing in the Motor City, but it’s still to be determined how much time is needed till this team can compete for a spot in the playoffs.

Bulls at Pistons odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 114, Pistons 107

Money line

PASS on the money line.

While I think the Bulls will win, they aren’t that far superior. Along with being on the road, betting the -210 for a team that’s not the Bucks or Jazz, especially not at home, feels like a mistake.

There are far better value bets in this game. The Pistons aren’t a top-tier franchise, but they’re also not one to sleep on.

Against the spread

“LEAN” to the BULLS -5.5 (-105) as the better bet. I don’t love it as the value is a tad bit high, but the Bulls have a roster that has been composed to compete with some of the best in the East.

LaVine has the best season of his career last year. Add in a pass-first Ball and a team-first DeRozan, and the Bulls have a team that should be able to dominant a lower-level opponent.

The Pistons have talent, especially down past Grant and Cunningham.

But, the jury is still out if G Killian Hayes can take that next step. Against a potent Bulls roster, I expect Chicago to come out on top, but it shouldn’t be by more than double figures.

Over/Under

BET on the OVER 219.5 (-107) as the best bet in this game. Having stayed away from Overs to kick off the season, this one gives good value. The Bulls are loaded with score-first players.

Especially with Ball’s increased ability to shoot, the Bulls can get out and get going. The Pistons will be able to hang with them behind Grant and Hayes.

Saddiq Bey and G Hamidou Diallo could both get hot and help add to the scoring. With a deep Bulls roster and an underrated Pistons, seeing Over 219 hit wouldn’t be shocking.

The Chicago Bulls (30-40) travel to meet the Brooklyn Nets (46-24) Saturday at Barclays Center. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Bulls vs. Nets odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Bulls won last time out, beating the Toronto Raptors 114-102 Thursday, improving to 4-1 straight up/against the spread across the past five outings. However, they are mathematically eliminated from making the postseason.

The Nets have won three in a row, including a 115-107 victory in Chicago Tuesday while covering a 4.5-point number. The Under cashed in that game, and is 5-2 across the Nets’ past seven.

Bulls at Nets: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Nets 111, Bulls 97

Money line (ML)

The Nets (-700) can’t clinch the No. 1 seed in the East, but they still have to win to hold the Milwaukee Bucks for the No. 2 seed. The Bulls (+500) are eliminated from the postseason, and they’ll likely be very disinterested in this one. Still, you can’t risk seven times your potential return.

Against the spread (ATS)

The NETS -11.5 (-110) covered the last time they faced the Bulls Tuesday, one of three consecutive wins and covers for Brooklyn.

The Bulls are 1-5 ATS in the previous six against winning teams, while the Nets have cashed in four of the past five at home and covered in four straight against teams with a losing overall mark.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 233.5 (-110) is the lean here, and that’s the way the trends are showing. In fact, the Under has connected in nine in a row for the Bulls, while cashing in four straight on the road.

The Under is also 5-2 across the past seven overall for the Nets, while cashing in nine of the past 13 at home against teams with a losing road record.

Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Toronto Raptors (27-42) travel to meet the Chicago Bulls (29-40) Thursday at United Center. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Raptors vs. Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Raptors were thumped in a home game in Tampa Bay, Florida, losing for the fourth consecutive game, and the seventh time in the past eight outings. They have since been eliminated from playoff contention.

The Bulls still have a glimmer of hope for a play-in spot, but they trail the Washington Wizards by 2.5 games with three to play and a game in hand.

They need to win out, while the Wizards need to lose out. But at least Chicago is playing for something here.

Raptors at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 112, Raptors 97

Money line (ML)

The Bulls (-500) will cost you five times your potential return. And while it’s a good bet that they’ll win, since they’re playing for something, and the Raptors (+375) are resting all of their key players, you still can’t risk it.

AVOID.

Against the spread (ATS)

The BULLS -10 (-110) are still alive, and desperate for a play-in spot, at least through Thursday, and they’ll play like it.

Chicago had won and covered three in a row, with victories by 12 or more points until losing to the Brooklyn Nets last time out on Tuesday.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 216.5 (-110) is the play here, as the Raptors will field a roster looking more like a G-League team.

The Bulls have locked down better teams than them, holding three of the past four opponents under 100. Chicago has hit the Under in eight straight, and they’ll do it again here.

Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Tuesday’s Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Chicago Bulls (29-39) have won their last three games after dropping four straight, but they’ll face a tough test on Wednesday night with the Brooklyn Nets (44-24) coming to town. Tip-off from the United Center will be at 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Nets-Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Nets snapped a four-game losing streak by beating the Nuggets 125-119 Saturday. SG James Harden remains out with a hamstring injury, but Brooklyn continues to score at a relatively high clip.

The Nets rank second in scoring and first in field goal percentage this season, with the defense lagging behind as the eighth-worst team in points allowed per game.

The Bulls are coming off a 12-point win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, a game in which they were favored by 9.5 points. They also crushed the Boston Celtics last week as 4-point underdogs, winning that one 121-99.

C Nikola Vucevic has averaged 22.7 points per game with the Bulls, while SG Zach LaVine leads the team with an average of 27.3 points per game.

Nets at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 116, Nets 114

Money line (ML)

It’s hard to trust the Nets right now after they dropped four straight, even coming off their win over the Nuggets.

The Bulls, on the other hand, have been tough to beat in the last week, especially given their 22-point win over the Celtics as 4-point underdogs.

There’s a nice reward to be had with a small wager on the Bulls +155, but I’d PASS on the money line and bet on the spread instead.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Bulls are getting 4.5 points from the Nets tonight, which is a line I like. Brooklyn has only covered once in its last five games and the Bulls have not only won three straight, but they covered in each game, too.

Bet on the BULLS +4.5 (-110) tonight.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over/Under is predictably high tonight, sitting at 232.5. But it might be tough for the Nets and Bulls to push the total over that number. The Under is 7-0 in the Bulls’ last seven games and 4-1 in the Nets’ last five.

I like the UNDER 232.5 (-105) in this one.

Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Chicago Bulls (28-39) travel to meet the Detroit Pistons (20-48) Sunday at Little Caesars Arena. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Bulls vs. Pistons odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Bulls are coming off a 121-99 win over the Boston Celtics as a four-point underdog. It’s their second straight win, as they topped the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday by a 120-99 count.

The Pistons are coming off a 118-104 loss in Philadelphia on Saturday, and now they have the quick turnaround. Detroit has won just once in the past six outings while going 2-4 against the spread across the stretch.

Bulls at Pistons: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 111, Pistons 105

Money line (ML)

The Bulls (-375) will cost you nearly four times your potential return, and that’s too expensive on the road, even against a poor Pistons (+290) side.

AVOID.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The PISTONS +8.5 (-110) were dusted by the 76ers on Saturday, and they have a quick turnaround.

However, they’re 10-1 ATS across the past 11 games as an underdog of 8.5 or more points. Roll with Detroit, as they should be able to keep it within single digits.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 219.5 (-110) is the play here. The Under has connected in six in a row for the Bulls while going 9-4 in their past 13 as a favorite.

The Under is 5-2-1 in the past eight home games for the Pistons, while cashing in six of the past eight as a ‘dog. The Under is also 5-2 in the past seven when working on no rest.

Chicago Bulls at Charlotte Hornets odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Chicago Bulls at Charlotte Hornets NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Chicago Bulls (26-39) travel to meet the Charlotte Hornets (32-33) Thursday at Spectrum Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Bulls-Hornets odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Bulls are on a four-game slide, and they haven’t covered in either of the games, either. It’s been a power outage on offense, as they have scored 98 or fewer points in each of the outings, and the Under has hit in each of those contests, too.

The Hornets have won two of the past three outings, both against the Detroit Pistons. They’re still just 1-4 ATS across the past five outings, and they lost in Chicago on April 22 in the most recent meeting by a 108-91 count as 1.5-point underdogs.

Bulls at Hornets: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 7:45 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Bulls -145 (bet $145 to win $100) | Hornets +120 (bet $100 to win $120)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Bulls -2.5 (-115) | Hornets +2.5 (-105)
  • Over/Under: 218.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Bulls at Hornets: Key injuries

Bulls

  • SF Troy Brown Jr. (ankle) out
  • PG Zach LaVine (illness) probable
  • C Nikola Vucevic (leg) probable

Hornets

  • SF Miles Bridges (illness) out
  • PG Nate Darling (ankle) out
  • PG Devonte Graham (knee) doubtful
  • SF Gordon Hayward (foot) out
  • SF Caleb Martin (ankle) questionable
  • PF Cody Martin (ankle) out
  • PF P.J. Washington (personal) probable

Bulls at Hornets: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Hornets 103, Bulls 99

Money line (ML)

The HORNETS (+120) are a value play on their home court, as they look for revenge against the Bulls (-145) after getting toasted 108-91 April 22 in Chi Town. They’re catching Chicago at a good time, as they’re 0-4 SU/ATS in the past four, and the offense is struggling mightily.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The HORNETS +2.5 (-105) are not as good of a value catching a bucket-and-a-half as they are straight up, but if you expect a one-possession game, then play Charlotte with the points. They’re a much better play on the money line, however.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 218.5 (-110) is the way to go, as Chicago has scored 98 or fewer points in each of the past four contests, while Charlotte has scored just 111 or fewer points in each of the past five. The Under is 7-3 in the previous 10 for Charlotte. The Under is the best play on the board.
