Chicago took down the Miami Heat 113-99 Saturday to cover as a 2-point home underdog. It has now won back-to-back games and 4 of its last 5. The Bulls are 6-4 straight up (SU) and 4-5-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games, slipping to 33-34-3 ATS.

The Sixers blew out the Indiana Pacers 141-121 on the road Saturday to cover as 4.5-point favorites. They have now won 8 games in a row and are 9-1 in their last 10. Philadelphia is 7-3 ATS during that stretch to improve to 42-28 ATS on the season.

Philadelphia and Chicago have split the season series 1-1. Philly won 114-109 to cover as a 2.5-point road favorite as the Over (221) cashed on Oct. 29 and Chicago won 126-112 to cover as a 5-point road underdog as the Over (234.5) connected on Jan. 6.

Bulls at 76ers picks and predictions

Prediction

76ers 113, Bulls 102

Moneyline

PASS.

The Sixers (-310) should win but this play is not profitable. Focus on the spread and/or total for action in this game.

Against the spread

LEAN 76ERS -8.5 (+100).

The Sixers have been unstoppable recently, winning 8 straight games with the last 2 coming by a combined 59 points. They are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games, 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games when their opponent scores 100 or more points in their previous game and 23-13 ATS this season at home.

The Bulls are 13-18-2 ATS on the road this season — including 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 road games, 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games with the 76ers in Philadelphia and 1-8 ATS in their last 9 meetings against the Sixers overall.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 225.5 (-112).

The Under is 11-2 in the Bulls’ last 13 games following an ATS win, 6-0 in their last 5 road games against a team with a winning percentage above .600 and 5-1 in their last 6 road games against a team with a winning home record.

The Under is 3-0-1 in th 76ers’ last 4 home games against a team with a road winning percentage less than .400 and 3-2 in their last 5 games overall. Philadelphia ranks 3rd in the league in opponent points per game (110.5) and Chicago ranks just 18th in points per game (113.5).

The 76ers beat the Indiana Pacers 129-126 in overtime Wednesday but failed to cover as 5-point home favorites. Philly is 22-15 ATS this season and 6-4 ATS over its last 10 games. The Sixers’ strength is defense, ranking No. 1 in opponents’ 3-point shooting (33.5%).

Bulls at 76ers picks and predictions

Prediction

76ers 119, Bulls 112

Moneyline

PASS.

The 76ers (-200) are 16-5 at home, but at (-190), there isn’t any value on that line when it’s against a team with two talented scorers in G Zach LaVine and F DeMar DeRozan.

Against the spread

BET 76ERS -6.5 (-102).

Philadelphia has been one of the best teams in the NBA at home.

Philly is 16-5 straight up and 14-6-1 ATS at home. It has the defense in G De’Anthony Melton and F Matisse Thybulle to cause LaVine and DeRozan issues offensively.

The Bulls may also be worse than their record suggests as they are 17-21 overall yet rank 24th in net rating (-1.2). Chicago is 9-9-1 ATS on the road this season as well.

With G James Harden facing a team that is going to potentially be without arguably its best 2 perimeter defenders, back the 76ERS -5.5 (-102).

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 228.5 (-110).

The 76ers are 6-1 O/U in their last 7 games, and they are 20-17 O/U this season. Without Embiid, as we saw against the Pacers, the tempo of the game increases and more of the offense flows through Harden.

The Sixers rank 12th in the NBA in field goal percentage (47.8%) as well, so they are efficient from the field. The Bulls are 18-19-1 O/U this season and have gone Over in 6 of their last 8. Chicago has topped 120 points in 3 of its last 4 outings.

Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Monday’s Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bulls (39-25) will try to snap their four-game losing skid when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers (39-24) Monday night at Wells Fargo Center. Tip-off in this pivotal Eastern Conference matchup will be at 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bulls vs. 76ers odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Bulls got a couple of days off after losing back-to-back games to the Milwaukee Bucks (118-112 Friday) and Atlanta Hawks (130-124 Thursday). They’re now just 1-4 since the All-Star break, with their only win being a 112-108 victory over the Hawks in the first game since the break.

Chicago’s recent schedule hasn’t been easy, though, and it’s been an underdog in each of its last four games. The Bulls failed to cover the spread in any of those contests, losing three games by 6 points and another by 13.

The Sixers have been great with G James Harden on the floor. In his four games played, they’re 4-0 with three double-digit wins by an average margin of 14.5 points. He sat out their last game due to a hamstring injury, which they lost in a 99-82 blowout to the Miami Heat. Philadelphia’s defense continued to play well, but the offense went ice cold without Harden in the lineup.

Bulls at 76ers odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

76ers 117, Bulls 108

Money line

The 76ers have yet to lose a game with Harden in the lineup, and I don’t think that will change Monday. The Bulls have struggled against quality opponents since the All-Star break, going 0-4 as underdogs in each of their last four games.

Furthermore, the Sixers are 10-0 SU in their last 10 games against the Bulls. I like the Sixers to win but the -320 tag is too steep.

PASS.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

The Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last five games, while the 76ers are 3-1 ATS when Harden is in the starting lineup. The Sixers are 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings between the two sides.

I like the 76ERS -6.5 (-122) to cover the spread and potentially win by double-digits at home.

Over/Under

The total has gone Under in four of the Bulls’ last five games but the Over is 6-1 in the Sixers’ last seven. Philadelphia has been scoring at a very high rate with Harden, C Joel Embiid and PG Tyrese Maxey on the floor together. The Bulls are also ninth in points per game (112.5) and first in field goal percentage (48.4%).

However, the total of 231.5 points feels high, with four of the Bulls’ last five games staying under that total. Bet the UNDER 232.5 (-112).

Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

On Wednesday evening, the Chicago Bulls (6-1) will head east to take on the Philadelphia 76ers (5-2) at Wells Fargo Center. The tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bulls at 76ers odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The new-look Bulls are tied with the Miami Heat for the best record in the Eastern Conference. Behind SG Zach LaVine and newcomers DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball, the Bulls have become a formidable side on both sides of the court.

They’ll be taking on an injury-riddled Sixers, a franchise dealing with on- and off-court issues. Three-time All-Star PG Ben Simmons has yet to play, and this will be a game in which his absence is felt.

SF Tobias Harris and former NBA Champion and starting SG Danny Green will be sidelined, forcing the team to rely heavily on MVP candidate Joel Embiid.

Bulls at 76ers odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 108, 76ers 104

Money line

BET on the BULLS (+110) as the best value in this game. The Bulls are red-hot, and they’re doing it on both sides of the court. Ball and SG Alex Caruso are immensely underrated and thrive defensively.

With LaVine and C Nikola Vucevic able to get a bucket when necessary, the Bulls should be able to hang with the Sixers. Also, I don’t think the sportsbooks are fully quantifying what Harris means to the Sixers.

He’s averaging 19.8 points per game, and his absence will force Embiid to get more touches. Embiid already doesn’t seem 100 percent despite not being on the injury report (he has been on the injury report for the last few games).

They’ll have to heavily rely upon SF Furkan Korkmaz and Seth Curry, two players that could easily go cold against an elite defensive backcourt.

The Bulls rank seventh in offensive rating and fifth in defensive rating, a perfect combination to combat the Sixers who have the highest offensive rating and are missing key pieces on both sides of the ball.

Against the spread

PASS on the spread as I’d rather take the Bulls outright in the plus-money territory. With only 2.5 points separating the two sides, the money line, either way, presents better value.

Over/Under

“LEAN” to the OVER 215.5 (-110) as both sides of elite offenses.

The Sixers may be missing Harris and Green, the latter of which is more important defensively, but they’ll replace them with another sharpshooter and defensive specialist. Add in how hot Curry has been lately, and the Sixers should still find a way to score.

We know what the Bulls are capable of. Chicago scores all over the court and is top-eight in turnover rate and true shooting percentage.

Despite both teams playing slower, they should be able to get going, and without Harris, the Sixers may actually look to push the pace more often.

Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Friday’s Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Philadelphia 76ers (19-10) host the Chicago Bulls (12-15) Friday at the Wells Fargo Center for an 8 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Bulls-76ers odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Chicago has won back-to-back games over Central Division foes and three of its last four (3-1 ATS) entering Friday. The Bulls have been a tough out behind leading-scorer SG Zach LaVine and are 5-4 overall in February with the 10th-highest net rating thanks to an improvement on defense.

The Sixers snapped a three-game losing streak by holding on to beat the Houston Rockets 118-113 Wednesday to finish a four-game West Coast trip. All four of Philadelphia’s losses this month have come against winning Western Conference teams and the Sixers are 2-5-1 ATS in February.

The Bulls are 1-7 in their last eight games against the Sixers (3-5 ATS) with five of those losses being by double-digits.

Bulls at 76ers: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

76ers 123, Bulls 110

Money line (ML)

PASS because Philadelphia is the right side but laying -350 with the Sixers or any NBA regular-season favorite for that matter is a terrible long-term strategy.

PLAY: Join our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

Slight lean on 76ERS -8.5 (+100) because they match up very well against the Bulls and are due for a bounce-back performance after struggling over their last four games.

Chicago runs a lot of pick-and-roll plays and Philadelphia has a top-10 pick-and-roll defense. Also, the Sixers have the second-highest FT/FGA rate while the Bulls are 25th in defensive FT/FGA rate.

However, Chicago has the third-highest cover percentage and fourth-best ATS margin in the Association. Plus in their two regular-season meetings last year, the Bulls split the four quarters with the difference in each game coming in one lopsided second-half quarter in favor of the Sixers.

Finally, the backdoor is WIDE OPEN in this game. Philadelphia took its foot off the gas against Houston Wednesday and the Sixers didn’t cover as 8-point favorites despite being up 26 points at the end of the first half.

Over/Under (O/U)

GIMME OVER 228.5 (-115) for 1.25 units.

The projected totals for last year’s Bulls-76ers games were 212.5 and 213.5. BetMGM opening this total in the upper 220s suggests the House thinks we are going to see some points here.

There are a couple of trends supporting the Over as well: Chicago has a 5-1 O/U record in its last six as a road ‘dog and Philadelphia has cashed four consecutive Overs.

Also, the Bulls are 29th in both turnover rate and opponent’s points off of turnovers per game and the Sixers are 28th in both of those categories.
