Jose Mourinho will return to familiar territory on Saturday when his Tottenham Hotspur side takes on his former employer Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are without a win in their last two games and will lose fourth place in the Premier League to their London derby rivals should they fall in the opening matchup of Week 27.

Tottenham remains unbeaten in its last seven domestic games, but the absence of forwards Harry Kane and Son Heung-min were felt when the team succumbed 1-0 at home to RB Leipzig on Wednesday.
The north Londoners announced earlier in the week that Son would miss “a number of weeks” after undergoing surgery on a fractured arm, an injury he sustained while scoring a brace in Sunday’s 3-2 win at Aston Villa. The Spurs’ European fate hangs in the balance after Timo Werner’s second half penalty clinched an important first leg win for Leipzig, marking Tottenham’s first defeat since Liverpool edged the team 1-0 on January 11. Mourinho will face Chelsea, a club in which he won more trophies than any other club in his career.
Chelsea has its own share of injury concerns ahead of the capital clash, with N’Golo Kante, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic each certain to miss out. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is battling to make his first appearance of the season, while centre-back Andreas Christensen hopes to be involved after suffering a facial injury in Monday’s 2-0 loss at home to Manchester United.
Striker Tammy Abraham wasn’t involved in that defeat and could come back into the lineup at the expense of Michy Batshuayi, who failed to inspire against the Red Devils.
Mourinho has won four of his 10 meetings with Chelsea over the course of his career, though only two of those have come in the past decade. Son was sent off when the Spurs lost 2-0 at home to Chelsea in December, and the team’s chances don’t look much brighter ahead of the reverse fixture.
