Ex-Chargers OL Forrest Lamp signs with Bills

The highly-touted draft prospect is taking his talents elsewhere.

The Chargers saw another one of their starting offensive linemen from this past season sign elsewhere.

The Bills agreed to terms with guard Forrest Lamp on a one-year deal Wednesday.

Lamp, Los Angeles’ second-round pick of the 2017 NFL draft, had high expectations entering his rookie season. Unfortunately, an ACL tear on the first day of training camp derailed it.

He served as a backup in his sophomore season. Once given expanded playing time in Year 3, he went on to play seven games before a broken leg ended the season.

This past season, Lamp remained healthy and did not miss a snap. However, he struggled mightily on the field. Lamp earned a below-average grade of 49.4 overall.

To fill the void at left guard, L.A. signed Matt Feiler last month. The team will likely look to the draft to add depth behind him.
