Former Hog basketball player picks transfer destination

Arkansas has only three scholarship players currently returning to the basketball team next season.

The turnover from Arkansas basketball’s 2021-22 season officially continued Monday.

Former Arkansas forward Chance Moore, who entered the transfer portal in late March, announced his destination as Missouri State. As of Monday afternoon, the Razorbacks would return only three players next year off this season’s Elite Eight squad.

The 6-foot-5 guard was a four-star recruit coming out of the Georgia high school scene but did not crack the rotation with the Razorbacks. Moore played in just five games during his first and only season in Fayetteville.

Missouri State is about a two-hours drive from Northwest Arkansas. The Bears lost in the first round of the NIT to Oklahoma after going 23-11 during the regular season.

Moore is one of three Arkansas players who announced intentions for the transfer portal, but the first to reveal a destination. Guard [autotag]KK Robinson[/autotag] and center [autotag]Connor Vanover[/autotag] remain outstanding.

Chance Moore names transfer destination

Chance Moore, who played in five games during his freshman season at Arkansas, has announced the next stop in his college basketball journey.

Chance Moore, who averaged one point per game and pulled down five total rebounds during his freshman campaign at Arkansas, has found a new home.

Moore announced via Twitter on Monday afternoon that he is headed north to attend Missouri State.

Moore spend nearly two weeks in the portal before announcing his next destination. On March 29, he released a statement to On3 about rejoining the recruiting process.

“First, I would like to thank Coach Musselman and the University of Arkansas for the opportunity to be a part of this great team.  I will never forget the memories my teammates and I have made.  For me as a player, I learned a lot and improved in every way imaginable.  I will forever be grateful to have been a part of this team and a part of the Razorback Community.  However, with that being said, I will be entering the transfer portal and reopening my recruitment”

Moore joined Connor Vanover and KK Robinson as players from the 2021-22 roster to enter the Transfer Portal. However, Arkansas has filled those deficiencies by signing Trevon Brazile from Missouri, Jalen Graham from Arizona State, and twins Makhi and Makhel Mitchell of Rhode Island.
