Drake said this hilarious tweet inspired him to use Giannis Antetokoumpo’s name in a song for Certified Lover Boy

Finally, the Antetokounmpo bar.

Drake name-dropped a ton of professional athletes and sports references in his new album, Certified Lover Boy. There were plenty to choose from.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was one of them. And so many of us were waiting for him to get name-dropped in a Drake song.

I mean, it seems like a rite of passage for NBA champions. He’s mentioned LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant in songs. The man has even had Kawhi Leonard appear in a music video at this point. Antetokounmpo needed some love, man.

He finally got it on CLB. Drake finally used his name in a bar. But the reason he did it wasn’t because of his title, apparently.

Instead, it was the challenge from a tweet. Twitter user Graydon Gordian knew what was good. After the Bucks won the title, he said Drake was already in the studio working on his Antetokounmpo bar.

Challenge accepted from The Boy, apparently. SPN posted this tweet on Instagram and Drake commented saying he only dropped the bar because of this tweet.

We have Gordian to thank for the Antetokounmpo bar.

Hilarious. It wasn’t the most impressive bar — keeping it a buck like Antetokounmpo wasn’t complex at all. But it’ll do for now.

Certainly, with Giannis being an NBA champion, there are plenty more coming.

Drake just leaked Kanye West’s ‘Life of the Party’ diss track and people are so confused

This is hip hop in 2021.

The beef between Kanye West and Drake just begins to get more and more confusing by the day.

These two hip-hop powerhouses have been throwing shots at each other over the last few years since Pusha T first reignited his beef with Drake back in 2018.

Naturally, with the two of them releasing albums within the same week of one another, there were almost certainly more shots between the two of them coming.

Drake threw plenty of them at West on Certified Lover Boy with tracks like “7 AM on Bridle Path” and “No Friends in the Industry.”

But it seems Kanye actually left his biggest shot at Drake off of his album, Donda.

On a track called “Life of the Party” featuring Andre 3000, West absolutely takes it to Drake and a few other folks he, apparently, has a little problem with.

The best part? We only know this track exists because, well, Drake leaked it himself.

WHEW BOY, y’all. We got a whole mess here.

Tom Brady gave Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album a hilarious shoutout on Twitter

Tom Brady’s Twitter account is the best.

Tom Brady’s Twitter account has easily become one of the funniest out there. Maybe it’s because we never really expected it to be that, but boy, is it good.

There’s always some sort of funny thing happening there. The account always seems to be on point with the memes and the jokes in a way that you wouldn’t expect a 44-year-old quarterback to be. Twitter works hard, but Tom Brady’s social media team works harder.

So, of course, you know they had to be up on the frenzy that is Drake’s new Certified Lover Boy album dropping. That is the absolute trending topic of the day.

But the question is how does one insert Tom Brady into this? The answer, apparently, was a billboard meme.

Drake used billboards to let us know all of the features that were coming on his album. Brady’s social media team used a fake billboard to let us know he wasn’t one of them. Golden.

That’s so good, man. So good. It almost makes you wonder where the Brady bar is on the album. I mean, Drake has never been one to shy away from name-dropping athletes. And there are so many on this album.

Looks like he just didn’t make the cut this time. That’s OK, though. Maybe next time, Brady.

Every athlete name-dropped in Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album from LeBron James to Sha’Carri Richardson and more

So. Many. Sports references.

That’s right, folks. Drake’s new album is officially here. It dropped in the wee hours of the morning on Friday and some people are already stamping it as album of the year.

While it’s a little too early for that, the project does seem to be solid. There’s a lot of R&B Drake on it, which is what everyone expects of an album named Certified Lover Boy.

But don’t get it twisted — there are definitely some bars in it for those of us who lean toward the hardcore hip-hop Drake. And, as we usually get with Drake, many of them are sports adjacent.

Let’s dive into some of the best ones.

A complete list of Drake’s features for Certified Lover Boy, according to these billboards

This feature list is crazy.

I’m almost certain you’ve heard by now, but if you haven’t, Drake’s new album Certified Lover Boy is coming out on Friday and the people are hype.

We’ve been waiting on this album for months now. It was supposed to drop back in January but was delayed for a multitude of reasons.

This week it’s official, though. He announced the release date in a hack (???) of morning Sportscenter last week.

We’re just a few hours away from the actual release of the album now and people everywhere are excited. It feels like this could be a really good one. Not only because, well, it’s Drake. But also because the feature list seems pretty awesome.

There have been billboards popping up in various cities across the country revealing some of the artists who we’ll see on the album. And there are some exciting names included.

Here they all are in one place for you.

Drake might have just dropped a release date for ‘Certified Lover Boy’ on ESPN’s Sportscenter

This is WILD

We’ve all been waiting since the beginning of the year for Drake’s newest album, Certified Lover Boy, to drop.

It was supposed to come at the beginning of the year but he tore his ACL which, coincidentally, may or may not have happened while he was trying to guard Steph Curry.

Regardless, that delayed the album. And all we’ve been getting is featured verses and an EP full of singles since then. The anticipation is still building up.

But good news is finally here. We may actually be getting the album soon if this hacked spot on Sportscenter’s morning broadcast is any indication.

On Friday morning before the rundown of the show, there appeared to be a cut with someone saying something in a distorted voice holding a sign that said “CLB, September 3.”

It was wild.

Nothing is confirmed, obviously. But if this holds true? That’s a pretty cool way to roll out an album. It’s not surprising at all he’d take this route — I mean, he shot an entire video at Nike’s headquarters.

Regardless, let’s hope this album comes soon. We’re tired of waiting.
