Cassius Winston puts up impressive stat line in Italian league

Death, taxes, and Cassius Winston getting buckets. These are the three inevitable truths of the world. Whether it was happening in the Breslin Center, or in Italy, Cassius Winston has been getting buckets for years now, and continues to do so in his pro career.

Winston, a Michigan State legend, put up an impressive stat line of 28 points and seven assists this week for his new club, Pallacanestro Reggiana of Italy.

Jay Bilas leaves Michigan State basketball off ‘what-if’ list for 2020 NCAA Tournament

Jay Bilas left MSU off his list of the biggest ‘what-ifs’ about the canceled 2020 NCAA Tournament

The 2020 NCAA Tournament was famously canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to that, it will always be one of the biggest ‘what-ifs’ in college basketball history, as multiple teams felt they had a good shot to make a run at a championship.

College basketball analyst Jay Bilas made a list of his biggest ‘what-ifs’, and one team, the 2020 Michigan State basketball team, didn’t get a single mention in his list, which included San Diego State, Kansas, Gonzaga, Dayton, and Baylor.

This will definitely irk a lot of Michigan State fans, as many who watched that team, which featured a fully developed duo of Cassius Winston and Xavier Tillman, won a share of the Big Ten title that year (the Big Ten Tournament was also canceled), and many in the MSU world felt that the team was poised to make a run. Michigan State even won in a simulation of the tournament from ESPN.

LOOK: Jaren Jackson Jr. calls for Michigan State basketball to build Cassius Winston statue

LOOK: Jaren Jackson Jr. calls for Michigan State basketball to build Cassius Winston statue

You could make a strong case that Jaren Jackson Jr. is the best Michigan State basketball player currently playing pro basketball right now, but on Friday, he called for the Spartans to build a statue for another MSU legend.

The College Basketball Report social media account posted highlights from Cassius Winston’s senior season Friday morning, to which JJJ simply said: ‘Statue asap.’

Fans, would you like to see MSU build a Cassius Winston statue? I’d say yes, if it came with plans to build a Mateen Cleaves one as well. It’s only fair.

Hunter Dickinson tried to have podcast host say he had better college career than Cassius Winston to come on show

Apparently, Hunter Dickinson’s stipulation to come on a podcast was for the hosts to say he had a better career than Cassius Winston…

In one of the most ridiculous stories I’ve heard in a while, the hosts of The Sleepers, a college basketball podcast, shared a story this week that Hunter Dickinson apparently told the hosts that he would only join their podcast if they publicly stated that he had a better college career at Michigan than Cassius Winston had at Michigan State…

Yes, that Cassius Winston, who was the 2019 Big Ten Player of the Year who helped lead the Spartans past one of the most hyped college basketball teams of all time (2019 Duke) in the NCAA tournament and is considered to be one of the best players in Michigan State basketball history.

Completely delusional and hilarious stuff from Dickinson.
