2024 4-star RB Ca’Lil Valentine puts Ducks in top 8

Carlos Locklyn is working to continue his strong start as the running backs’ coach for the Oregon Ducks, looking to add another elite rusher to the mix in the 2024 class.

Over the weekend, 4-star RB Ca’Lil Valentine announced his top 8 schools, listing the Ducks among the finalists alongside the likes of Miami, Michigan State, Auburn, Utah, and several others.

Valentine is listed as the No. 32 RB in the 2024 class, and the No. 359 overall player in the nation. He has yet to take a visit to Eugene, but will likely find his way out at some point this summer to check out the facilities and meet with the coaches.

Since coming to Oregon, Coach Locklyn has helped land players like Jordan James, Dante Dowdell, and Jayden Limar as recruits. He also played a hand in getting both Noah Whittington and Bucky Irving out of the transfer portal.
