Cal at Washington picks and predictions

Prediction

Washington 38, Cal 17

Moneyline

PASS.

Cal lost at home to Auburn, and it should struggle against against a prolific offense led by a Heisman hopeful. Expect the Golden Bears to not be able to keep pace offensively, and at +700, they aren’t worth a play.

Against the spread

BET WASHINGTON -20.5 (-110).

Washington has been terrific at home, beating Boise State 56-19 as a 14-point favorite and toppling Tulsa 43-10 as a 33-point favorite. The Huskies have scored 40 or more points in every game this season.

Their offense is electric, and Cal struggled heavily against its lone quality opponent, scoring just 10 points against the Tigers. Neither Cal quarterback has a completion percentage over 70% while Penix Jr. sits at 74.3%. He will be able to move the chains, and the Golden Bears may not.

Take WASHINGTON -20.5 (-110).

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 57.5 (-110).

Washington’s defense against Cal’s offense is what will help the Under cash Saturday. Cal has scored points this season, but against the lone Power 5 program, it scored 10, and the Under 55.5 hit with ease. Cal is 1-2 O/U.

Washington is 1-2 O/U as well because it has allowed 17 points in its last 2 games combined. The Huskies defense is quick and should be able to limit Cal.
