The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Burke hit his first home run of the 2022 California Collegiate League season on Saturday in game No. 2 of a doubleheader against Solano.

Tennessee freshman Blake Burke is playing in the California Collegiate League with the Healdsburg Prune Packers.

Burke started in left field Saturday in game No. 1 of a doubleheader for Healdsburg against the Solano Mudcats. He went 1-for-3 in the Prune Packers’ 2-1 loss to Solano.

Healdsburg is slated to play Solano in game No. 2 Saturday at 9 p.m. EDT.

Tears debuted for the Walnut Creek Crawdads on June 12.

He hit his first home run June 14 against the Sonoma Stompers. The 6-foot, 200-pound Tears is 1-for-11 with one home run, one RBI, one run and one walk in four contests.

Tears redshirted during the 2022 season at Tennessee. He came to the Vols from Columbia Academy in Columbia, Tennessee.

Cherry earned his first win with the Healdsburg Prune Packers on June 15.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Cherry pitched one inning against the Walnut Creek Crawdads. Healdsburg defeated Walnut Creek, 16-2.

Cherry totaled one strikeout against five batters in the contest against Walnut Creek. He has appeared in two games for Healdsburg, recording four strikeouts.

Cherry appeared in five contests for the Vols in 2022, recording five strikeouts.
