Tennessee pitcher Andrew Behnke is competing in the California Collegiate League with the Healdsburg Prune Packers.

Healdsburg defeated the Walnut Creek Crawdads, 7-2, Thursday.

Behnke pitched 2.1 innings, recording two strikeouts, while allowing one hit, one earned run and one walk versus Walnut Creek. Behnke earned his first save with the Prune Packers.

He appeared in six games at Tennessee as a freshman in 2023. Behnke recorded 10 strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA in 5.2 innings pitched for the Vols.

The 5-foot-10, 183-pound freshman made his collegiate debut on April 11 versus Eastern Kentucky.

Behnke came to the Vols from Donelson Christian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. He committed to Tennessee on May 20, 2021 over Alabama and Vanderbilt.

Walnut Creek defeated Sonoma, 6-0.

Fanning appeared in five games for the Vols during the 2022 season.

He made his first career start against Tennessee Tech on Feb. 22 before the contest was canceled due to rain. The Vols led Tennessee Tech, 5-4, in the top of the fifth inning with two outs before the contest was postponed and later canceled.

The 6-foot-7, 220-pound Hollis is blind in his left eye. He came to the Vols from Tullahoma High School in Tullahoma, Tennessee.

Burke has split time as the Prune Packers’ designated hitter and playing left field this season.

Through 14 games, Burke is 20-for-51, totaling four home runs, 23 RBIs, 17 runs, four doubles and seven walks.

Fanning pitched eight innings, totaling 98 pitches with 73 strikes, against the Arroyo Seco Saints. He recorded five strikeouts, while surrendering three earned runs, one walk and nine hits, in Walnut Creek’s 5-4 victory.

Fanning appeared in five games for the Vols during the 2022 season.

Through six games with the Riptide, Smith is 1-for-11, recording four walks, three stolen bases and one RBI.

Orange County will next play Thursday at Sonoma (10:05 p.m. EDT).

The 6-foot, 200-pound Smith did not appear in any contests for the Vols in 2022. He came to Tennessee from Buford High School in Buford, Georgia.

Tennessee (57-9, 25-5 SEC) concluded its 2022 season on June 12.

The Vols advanced to the NCAA Tournament Super Regional and were ranked No. 1 in the USA TODAY Sports baseball coaches poll for 10 consecutive weeks (March 28-May 30).

Valentine recorded his first hit of the 2022 season Sunday against the Academy Barons. He went 1-for-3 in Sunday’s contest with the Riptide.

Valentine committed to Tennessee on Oct. 21, 2021.

The 6-foot, 200-pound infielder played for Central Arizona College, winning the 2022 National Junior College Athletic Association national championship.

Valentine appeared in 72 games for Central Arizona in 2022. He recorded a .269 batting average and totaled four home runs, 68 hits, 23 doubles, six triples, 57 RBIs, 49 runs, 32 walks and 10 stolen bases.

The Tennessee commit played at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix, Arizona.
