WATCH: Highlights from Week 12’s Bucs vs. Colts matchup

From Mike Evans touchdowns to a Carlton Davis pick, check out the highlights from the Bucs’ most recent matchup.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may not have won, but like always, there were still quite a few highlight-worthy plays to observe from the Bucs.

From an interception from cornerback Carlton Davis to two touchdowns from Bucs wideout Mike Evans, there was quite a bit of potential from Tampa Bay on Sunday — and that’s part of what makes it so frustrating. The Bucs have shown glimpses of promise during the course of the year much like some of the work in this Indianapolis game, but mistakes and a lack of discipline have held the team back, and it did in Week 12 when the Bucs dropped their game to the Colts 27-20. Nonetheless, who doesn’t love to watch Mike Evans catch touchdown passes?

Check out the highlights from last Sunday’s game below:

Bucs Wire staff picks for Week 12 against the Colts

Our staff feels confident in Tampa Bay’s chances this Sunday against the Colts.

It may be an AFC team, but that doesn’t make the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday any less important.

The Bucs remain in the thick of the NFC South race (somehow), back just one game from the first place New Orleans Saints and tied with the Atlanta Falcons at 4-6. The Indianapolis Colts, too, still have meaningful football to play for, just two games back from the AFC South lead themselves. If Tampa Bay can take this victory, it’ll come within striking distance of the division title once again.

Here is how our staff sees Sunday’s matchup going for the Bucs:

Cast your vote in our poll to predict the winner of Week 11’s Bucs at 49ers matchup!

As the NFC South race gets tighter and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ schedule gets easier, dropping games isn’t an option going forward.

The Bucs are 4-6 as it stands, but they’re still in the NFC South race in second with the Atlanta Falcons. The New Orleans Saints lead the division, but they’re only one game up at 5-5, so getting a win against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12 would be huge to stay in the thick of it this late into the season.

The Colts, meanwhile, are also surprisingly in the mix at 5-5. The team is only one game back from the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars, both of whom play each other on Sunday. A win over the Bucs would do well to put them closer to the top, though it’s still a longshot with how talented the two teams above them in the standings are.

According to BetMGM, the Bucs are 2.5-point underdogs against the Colts. The over-under is set at 44.5.

Will Tampa Bay get a much-needed win over Indianapolis and stay in the NFC South race? Or will the Colts dash its dreams and get a leg-up of their own?

Bucs reveal uniform combo for Week 12

It took a while, but the Bucs are breaking out their alternates when they head to Indianapolis.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the road, but for the first time since Week 3, they aren’t wearing their white uniforms.

The team announced on social media Wednesday that it will wear its pewter uniforms against the Indianapolis Colts on the road. This marks only the second time the team has worn anything but white uniforms this year, with the first time being in that Week 3 game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.

The Bucs haven’t worn pewter a lot, as it’s the team’s third uniform. Tampa Bay has used it a total of four times in its history — it wore them twice in 2020, the first time away against the Denver Broncos and the second time at home against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bucs won both of those games, but have lost the remaining two, losing to the Los Angeles Rams against them on the road in 2021 and losing to the Cincinnati Bengals at home with them in 2022. As a result, the team is 2-2 with the pewter uniforms, so Sunday’s game will be definitive in finding out just how well Tampa Bay does when wearing them.
