Ranking Tampa Bay’s remaining schedule from easiest to hardest

The Bucs only play three teams above .500 in their remaining slate.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers sit at 3-5 with no solution to their problems in sight, but there is still football left to play and teams left to beat.

That’s the idea, anyway. And while the Bucs haven’t played the greatest football in the last four weeks, their schedule remains favorable — Tampa Bay plays only three teams with a winning record of the eight it’s set to tilt with, so picking up wins against bad teams will be imperative if the Bucs want to stay in the NFC South race and make an attempt to get back on track for 2023.

Here is Bucs Wire’s ranking of Tampa Bay’s remaining opponents, from easiest to hardest:

NFL to release full 17-week schedule next week

The NFL plans to release 2020 schedules next week and will move ahead with a full 17 weeks.

While the coronavirus pandemic has put sports around the world on hold, the NFL is still proceeding with the intent of playing a full season in 2020.

Per ESPN:

“The league will release its 2020 schedule late next week without any major changes, league spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed — including a Sept. 10 opener, the Super Bowl on Feb. 7 and visions of fans in the stands.”

The idea of fully packed stadiums seems like wishful thinking right not, but that’s what they are planning for.

The report also says the league has evaluated contingency plans, such as starting the season in mid-October. The league is also looking into when players can return to team facilities. For someone like Tom Brady, getting into the Bucs facility and working with his new teammates is a vital part of his offseason preparation.
