LeBron James may try to play with both Bryce and Bronny in the NBA, per a new ad

LeBron would turn 43 years old the season Bryce becomes NBA eligible.

LeBron James has made absolutely no secret of the fact that he intends to play in the NBA at the same time as his son, Bronny James. It’s something that LeBron has said on the record for several years now.

Bronny is an incoming freshman at USC and was seen as a potential first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. This summer, however, Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest scare. It is unclear when he will return to the court or how long it will take him until he is ready to turn pro.

Regardless of how long it takes, despite the fact he is already officially the oldest player in the NBA, LeBron may actually intend to play professionally even longer than when Bronny first becomes eligible to turn pro.

That is at least how it seemed in an appearance that LeBron made alongside his family members in a new advertisement for the Beats by Dre headphones.

Between the 1:31 and 1:34 mark of the clip, LeBron’s wife Savannah says the following:

“Tell them you’re not done until you play with your son. Then do that, again.”

During the moment that Savannah says “again” while speaking about playing alongside his son, Bryce James appears on the screen.

Bryce James is 16 years old and will transfer from Sierra Canyon, where his brother played high school basketball, to Notre Dame in Southern California.

While he has already received his first Division-I offer, he is only considered a three-star recruit in the Class of 2025. Even if he were to play only one year of college basketball, he could not turn pro until the 2026 NBA Draft.

That means that LeBron would turn 43 years old during the first season that Bryce could potentially play in the NBA. That doesn’t sound easy for anyone but LeBron has certainly defied expectations before.

Ohio State offers LeBron James son, Bryce, a scholarship while on a visit

The Buckeyes offer LeBron’s son Bryce #GoBucks

Although [autotag]Bryce James[/autotag], son of NBA superstar LeBron James, didn’t have an offer from [autotag]Ohio State basketball[/autotag], he still took the trip to Columbus to see the football team take on Maryland.

It was a win for the Buckeyes and James; head coach [autotag]Chris Holtmann[/autotag] offered him during the unofficial visit. The youngest son of LeBron stands 6 feet, 4 inches and weighs 180 pounds. He plays shooting guard but most likely could play small forward as well.

James is ranked as the No. 20 player at his position and 129th overall in the country on the 247Sports composite. He has one other offer, Duquesne.

This could be similar situation to his brother, Bronny, where the youngest James sees his development skyrocket as he goes through high school. It’s a safe bet to say it will be a great advantage for Ohio State to be his first major offer.

Bryce James, son of LeBron, visits and gets offer from Ohio State

Bryce James, the youngest son of LeBron, visited Ohio State’s men’s basketball program and saw the football team beat Michigan.

Bryce James, the son of NBA star LeBron James, returned to his birth state this weekend for an unofficial visit to Ohio State on the weekend that the Buckeyes football team faced off against Maryland.

He tweeted on Saturday evening that he had received an offer from Ohio State during the visit.

With LeBron’s vocal fandom of Ohio State, his birthplace in Akron, and the notoriety he brought to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he won one of his four championships, the Buckeyes have long been linked prominently in the public eye to the James family. Bryce’s older brother, Bronny, visited the Buckeyes before choosing USC.

There is still some mystery around Bryce as a recruit, more so than there was for LeBron or Bronny. A member of the class of 2025, Bryce attended Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) for his two years before transferring to Campbell Hall (Studio City, Calif.) in May but quickly shifting course and landing on Notre Dame High School (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) in August.

Recruiting sites differ, both in terms of objectivity and subjectivity. ESPN lists him as a 6-foot-6 small forward while 247Sports still has him as a 6-foot-4 shooting guard. ESPN considers him a four-star prospect while 247Sports, both on its own ranking and on its industry composite, list him as a three-star player.

He averaged 7.6 points in 15 games with the Nike EYBL 16U circuit this year, according to ESPN, which also reported the news of Bryce’s visit to Ohio State.

James posted a photo in jersey from his visit at Ohio State:

Lantern Sports, the sports section of the daily student newspaper of Ohio State, tweeted a video of James at the Buckeyes’ football game chatting with head coach Chris Holtmann.

Under Holtmann’s six years at the helm, the Buckeyes men’s basketball team has appeared in four NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournaments, three of the times getting to the second round and once losing in the first. Last season, Ohio State went 16-19, its first sub-.500 season since 2003-04.

Report: Younger son of LeBron James will visit Ohio State this weekend

Can the Buckeyes have better luck with this James? #GoBucks

Although [autotag]Ohio State basketball[/autotag] has already missed out on one of [autotag]LeBron James[/autotag]’ son’s recruitment, Bronny who is trying to get back on the court for USC after suffering a cardiac arrest, there is still hope for a member of the James clan to end in Columbus.

[autotag]Bryce James[/autotag], a 6-foot, 4-inch and 180-pound shooting guard in the 2025 class, who many view as a better prospect that his brother Bronny (though currently just a 3-star prospect), will visit head coach [autotag]Chris Holtmann[/autotag] and staff this weekend according to multiple reports

James is ranked as the No. 20 shoot guard in his class, and the 129th overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Even though the visit is an unofficial, unlike when Bonny took his visit, it still means a lot in Bryce’s recruitment.

At the current moment, it is not reported if Bryce has an offer from Ohio State, but what we do know is that he won’t be the only visitor, as 2026 Indiana point guard [autotag]Dezhon Hall[/autotag] will join James. The 6-foot, 3-inch and 175-pound Indianapolis native is currently unranked at the moment by the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

James could see his stock rise like his brothers did — as Bronny’s game matured, his ranking shot up. Bryce very well could see a similar ascendance up the lists.

Bryce James transferring from Campbell Hall to Notre Dame High School

There will plenty of celebs in the stands at the Knights’ basketball games this season, and beyond.

Bryce James, the youngest son of NBA star LeBron James, is changing course on his high career again, making another switch regarding where he’ll attend school for his junior year.

The 6-foot-6 talent took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared an edited uniform photograph that highlighted his decision:

The transfer to Notre Dame High School (Sherman Oaks, Calf.) is the third stop for James—at least, in news cycles.

He was set to attend Campbell Hall in Studio City, Calif., after spending his first two years at Sierra Canyon High School in nearby Chatsworth, where his brother, Bronny, starred. The James family made a splash to accompany that transfer when they donated money toward a multimillion-dollar athletic facility on Campbell Hall’s campus

But the soft rumors that the hoop prospect was considering Notre Dame back in June—after his decision to attend Campell Hall was announced—seem to have continued to hold the proverbial water as the summer progressed.

Campbell Hall guard Bryce James (4) warms up with his team during the Section 7 Basketball Tournament at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on June 23, 2023.

According to a report by LA Times’ Eric Sondheimer, head coach Matt Sargeant said James had his first practice with the team on Wednesday.

As expected, James adds more talent to the Knights’ already-packed roster. The CIF State Division 1 champs’ 2023-24 season will feature Duke commit Caleb Foster, Gonzaga commit Dusty Stromer, and Houston commit Mercy Miller—the son of rapper/entrepreneur Percy “Master P” Miller—to name a few.

One interesting note out of all this new movement: According to Sondheimer, James would have to move residences to be eligible immediately at Notre Dame. Due to CIF transfer rules, not doing so could render him a sit-out period athlete, who would be eligible on December 24.

None of this, mind you, affects the NIL contract James signed with Klutch Sports in December 2022.

Son of LeBron James transferring to (a) Notre Dame

A son of basketball great LeBron James is headed to Notre Dame to play basketball … high school that is.

[autotag]Bryce James[/autotag], a high school basketball star and the son of NBA legend [autotag]LeBron James[/autotag], is taking his talents to Notre Dame.

Just not that Notre Dame.

After playing the last two years at Sierra Canyon High School in California, James is transferring to Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks. There he’ll be a Knight, not a Fighting Irish.

At Notre Dame High School, James will not be the only son of a celebrity playing basketball. Mercy Miller, son of famed rapper Master P is also a highly regarded prospect.

The graphic below certainly makes you daydream a bit. You can see the twice prominently featured shoemakers logo there though and know that the University of Notre Dame being an Under Armour school will keep this from happening before you can ever start to think about it.

However, time will tell if this James gets a scholarship offer to play football like Urban Meyer once offered his father.

Bryce James may want to transfer to Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks

Bryce James, the youngest son of LeBron James, may be on the move again ahead of his junior year of high school.

While the basketball career of Bronny James may be over after he went into cardiac arrest, LeBron James has another son who may have NBA potential.

His youngest son, Bryce, is 17 years of age, but he’s 6 feet, 5 inches and could have greater potential than Bronny, who is 6 feet, 3 inches.

Bryce, like Bronny, used to attend Sierra Canyon School in the San Fernando Valley, but he decided to transfer just a couple of months ago. He may end up being on the move again.

The Los Angeles Times’ Eric Sondheimer tweeted James has made inquiries about transferring to Notre Dame High School (h/t Lakers Daily).

During Nike’s Peach Jam a few weeks ago, the Los Angeles Lakers were reportedly in attendance to watch Bryce showcase his skills.

Bronny James’ brother Bryce posts a heartfelt Instagram photo after cardiac arrest

This was so sweet.

As we await further news on Bronny James, his brother Bryce sent a message through Instagram.

The elder son of LeBron James, as you may have seen on Tuesday, suffered a cardiac arrest at USC while practicing. A statement from the James family said that Bronny was no longer in the ICU and was in “stable condition.” There was no update since then.

Bryce put up a photo on Instagram Stories of him and Bronny, presumably from another time before this happened, with a heart emoji on it.

LeBron James was so fired up after coaching his son, Bryce, to a huge comeback victory at Peach Jam

This is a special moment for LeBron and his son Bryce.

After breaking the NBA’s all-time scoring record in front of his two sons, LeBron James is now spending his offseason coaching on the AAU circuit.

Although his older son Bronny has committed to USC next season, Bronny’s younger brother Bryce is playing on the Nike EYBL circuit. Bryce’s team, Strive For Greatness, is currently coached by LeBron and LeBron’s former teammate Rajon Rondo.

Bryce’s squad faced off against New Heights Lightning at Peach Jam, the championship tournament for Nike EYBL spring and summer league held in Augusta, Georgia. The matchup was one of several games broadcast on NBA TV.

NH Lightning, led by Preston Fowler, held a 10-point lead at one point during the game. But after a strong second-half performance from Strive for Greatness, the two eventually forced overtime.

SFG’s Brayden Burries finished with 27 points as LeBron’s team finished on top when it was all said and done.

It wasn’t easy to get into the building for the show, but for those who did, it was worth their time.

Bryce, who is reportedly transferring from Sierra Canyon to Campbell Hall, received his first Division I offer from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.

Lakers made Bryce James a priority during Nike’s Peach Jam

The Lakers got a look at Bryce James, LeBron James’ youngest son, during Nike’s Peach Jam.

[anyclip pubname=”2123″ widgetname=”0016M00002U0B1kQAF_M8169″]

When it comes to LeBron James’ kids, most of the attention has been focused on Bronny James, who had a strong senior season at Sierra Canyon School and is headed to the University of Southern California this fall.

However, there is another member of the James clan coming up that could have even more potential as an NBA player.

Bryce James, LeBron James’ youngest son, is 16 years of age, and he is already taller than Bronny James. Depending on how he develops moving forward, he could be an even better prospect than Bronny James due to his seemingly greater physical gifts.

Bryce James played in Nike’s Peach Jam recently, and the Los Angeles Lakers zeroed in on him during the event (h/t Lakers Daily).

Via Yahoo Sports:

“Scouts from the Lakers, (Orlando) Magic, (Cleveland) Cavaliers, (Dallas) Mavericks, (Miami) Heat, (New York) Knicks, (Phoenix) Suns, (Atlanta) Hawks and other teams all made James a priority on Day 1 of games.”

LeBron James has repeatedly stated his desire to play alongside Bronny James in the NBA. It is unknown if he would also like to make an attempt to share the court with Bryce James, or even if he would want to remain in the league for that amount of time.
