When it looked like the Miami Dolphins were down and out and destined for the first pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, the team surprised everyone winning two straight games. Their luck did run out though last weekend as they fell 37-20 at home against the Bills. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 323 yards, 135 of those to DeVante Parker, but both failed to find the end zone. The running game combined for just 23 yards and two touchdowns. They’ve had success in the air, but they are the worst team statistically on the ground with an average of 60.3 YPG.
Buffalo defeated the Dolphins in every aspect of the game with a balanced offensive attack. Quarterback Josh Allen tallied over 300 yards of total offense and four touchdowns. The Bills totaled 168 yards rushing and John Brown torched the secondary with nine receptions for a season-high 137 yards and two touchdowns. Miami is second to last in points allowed (30.5) and rush yards allowed (148.3).
The Browns are in the midst of a two-game win streak after they beat the Steelers at home 21-7, but let’s be honest, nobody is talking about the highlights of the game. Rather they are talking about the brawl at the end of it. Star defensive player Myles Garrett ripped off Mason Rudolph’s helmet and hit him with it. He has been suspended indefinitely as a result of his actions is a huge blow to this defensive unit. Garrett has ten sacks on the year. Look for linebacker Joe Schobert, fifth in the NFL with 92 tackles to have a big game in his absence. Schobert was a monster against the Steelers with ten tackles, one sack and two interceptions. The defense recorded four sacks and four interceptions last weekend and will look to continue that momentum against a struggling Miami offense.
Baker Mayfield threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns, while Nick Chubb added 27 carries for 92 yards. With the performance, Chubb broke the 1,000 yard mark for the first time in his career after rushing for 996 yards all of last season. Odell Beckham Jr. led the team with four catches for 60 yards. With loads of talent at the skill positions and against one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Browns should be able to light up the scoreboard on Sunday.
