Brittany Mahomes shared a glimpse of what it was like to hang out with Taylor Swift in NYC

Swift spent time with the spouses of three Chiefs’ players this past weekend.

The friendship between mega popstar Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes — the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes — has been blossoming since Swift started dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The duo has taken in games together at Arrowhead Stadium, even developing their own celebratory handshake.

Swift and Mahomes weren’t able to travel to Frankfurt, Germany this past weekend for Kansas City’s game against the Miami Dolphins, but they spent time together in New York City with Lyndsay Bell and Paige Buechele, the spouses of Chiefs players Blake Bell and Shane Buechele.

Brittany Mahomes documented some of their festivities in a new Instagram post with Swift, Bell and Buechele on Tuesday afternoon.

A whole new level to girls’ night out.

Another move for Taylor Swift. And the singing superstar wasn’t on stage.

While watching the Kansas City Chiefs — her Chiefs? — defeat the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday at Arrowhead, Swift and new fast friend Brittany Mahomes debuted a celebration handshake.

Have to wonder how fast this will catch on among Swifties.

Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes shared an adorable hug after a clutch Travis Kelce catch

What a sweet moment between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes.

Taylor Swift returned to Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday to catch the Kansas City Chiefs’ mid-week matchup against the sinking Denver Broncos. After missing the Chiefs previous game against the Vikings — much to fans’ disappointment — Swift was back to support Travis Kelce as dating rumors between the two continue to swirl.

Not only that, Kelce himself was back out on the field on Thursday after getting banged up against the Vikings with an ankle injury. However, Kelce seemed to be back at full strength on Thursday against the Broncos, as he made a nice catch in coverage to help the Chiefs get into the red zone.

And after Kelce finished off that clutch catch, cameras panned to Swift in the stands, who could not contain her excitement in a hug with Brittany Mahomes!

What a sweet moment!

Hilariously, Kelce ended up being a big part of the Chiefs’ early offense, as his 109 receiving yards out-gained the Broncos (81) in the first half.

KC Current’s Lo’eau LaBonta praises Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes’ ownership vision

KC Current midfielder Lo’eau LaBonta recently praised Patrick Mahomes & Brittany Mahomes for their vision as part owners of the NWSL team. | from @EdEastonJr

The connection between Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro Patrick Mahomes and the community has been a vital part of the winning culture of the city since he was drafted in 2017. He has committed long-term to remaining with the franchise and building the city with support for more sports franchises and attractions.

Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, are part of the ownership group of the KC Current of the National Women’s Soccer League, garnering more attention to the league. Patrick joined his wife officially in January of this year to help spread the word about the team and promote the league in the Kansas City community.

Lo’eau LaBonta has been a veteran of the Current and appeared as a guest on the morning sports show “Up and Adams,” hosted by Kay Adams, to share her appreciation for the Mahomes family and life as an athlete in Kansas City.

“Yeah, it’s unbelievable that so when we’re first year, I’ve been with this team now for almost ten years,” said LaBonta. “And when we were first here, you know, we, we didn’t have anything, we didn’t have the backing of the sport, or I mean the city. So it was really hard playing here. And then when they brought us back in, the owners were like, look at this, you know, teal rising, get them out there. My husband’s on the men’s soccer team here, and I think more people recognize me and shout out me in the streets than him, and we gotta keep them humble. You know what I’m saying?”

“I’ve been with this organization since the beginning,” said LaBonta. “And we come back because of the fans in the city. They just love their sports teams. And that’s 100%. You know, it’s not like, we have beaches or mountains. We have the passion for sports here. And that’s, that’s what keeps me coming back for sure, you feel it, like I said in the streets. And that’s what I love, you know, at the bars. I mean, it has nothing to do with the free shots that people are always buying me when I’m out. That has nothing to do with it. Nothing at all, but it’s definitely like Mahomes just said the other day, you know, I don’t need money. I’m good. I just want rings and stuff. Well, he also already owns this entire city. I think he has a stake in every professional team, but that’s because they’re buying into the love for the sports here”.

Mahomes has been active in trying to sway an NBA franchise and NHL team to Kansas City in recent years to promote the great sports town. The work he and Brittany are doing with the KC Current hasn’t gone unnoticed, with players speaking out in appreciation for the forward-thinking owners.

LOOK: Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and family pose at Disneyland

#Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and his family stopped at Disneyland to celebrate his MVP win, also revealing their two-month-old son’s face for the first time.

Back in 2013, Patrick Mahomes tweeted the following:

“I bet it feels amazing to be the quarterback who says, ‘I’m going to Disney World’ after winning the Super Bowl.”

Sure enough, Mahomes knows what that feels like multiple times. Though, this time around, he went to Disneyland to celebrate his MVP win.

“Luckily I’m going to Disneyland now, so I have Disney World and Disneyland crossed off,” Mahomes said following Super Bowl LVII. “They’ll have to make some more parks so I can go around everywhere and do a world tour.”

Mahomes also had some company for his trip this time around. Brittany Mahomes, Sterling Mahomes and two-month-old son Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes all took in the excitement at the Disney amusement park. It also marked the first time that the Mahomes family had shared Bronze’s face with the world.

The caption of Mahomes’ photo read: “Welcome to the happiest place on earth, Bronze and Sterling!”

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes joins Kansas City Current ownership team

#Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes has officially joined the Kansas City Current ownership group.

The Chiefs’ star quarterback is now a part owner of a third sports team in Kansas City.

On Tuesday, the Kansas City Current NWSL team announced that Patrick Mahomes had joined his wife Brittany as a member of the club’s ownership group. Patrick has long been a supporter of the KC Current team, which was most recently displayed when he wished them luck ahead of their 2022 NWSL Championship match.

“We are so thrilled to make this a family affair,” Brittany Mahomes said, via press release. “(Mahomes) has been a huge supporter behind the scenes. His passion for the Current is undeniable, and I am glad that he will be with us as we continue on our journey to become the best in the NWSL.”

This is the third ownership stake for Patrick in a Kansas City-based team, alongside the Kansas City Royals and Sporting KC. He is now the first active NFL player to have an ownership stake in an NWSL club. It’s yet another root to keep the Mahomes family embedded in the Kansas City community.

“I am thankful for the chance to join my wife as a part of the Kansas City Current’s ownership team,” Patrick said, via press release. “Brittany and the Longs have done an incredible job building a world-class organization. I am excited to join another championship-caliber club as it continues to make history.”

The KC Current organization is doing big things lately, with Mahomes’ addition being their latest endeavor. In October, they broke ground on the first stadium built specifically for a women’s professional team. They made it to the 2022 NWSL Championship, but they fell short against the North Carolina Courage. Just days ago, they announced they’d signed Brazillian soccer star, Debinha, as a free agent.
