Alabama lands two signees on McDonald’s All-American roster

Nate Oats and his coaching staff have really outdone themselves on the recruiting trail, reeling in one of the top classes in the country for the class of 2022.

Just to show you how impressive the class really is, for the first time in school history, Alabama has landed two signees from the same class on the McDonald’s All-American game roster.

Five-stars Jaden Bradley and Brandon Miller have each been selected to compete in the prestigious contest. Here is the complete McDonald’s All-American game roster.

With this impressive recruiting haul, the expectations for Oats and the Tide will continue to grow.

What 5-star F Brandon Miller can bring to Alabama MBB

Brandon Miller should have a huge impact for the Crimson Tide during the 2022 basketball season.

Nate Oats is on a tear on the recruiting trail, first by picking up five-star Jaden Bradley a few short weeks ago. Now, the third-year Crimson Tide basketball coach has done it again, securing a commitment from five-star forward Brandon Miller.

Miller is 6-8 and 200 pounds. Providing plenty of size to the Tide front-court. He is the No. 11 recruit in the 2022 cycle, and the third-best small forward in the class.

Miller participated in the Brad Beal Elite grassroots program on the Nike EYBL circuit last summer, averaging 12.9 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 15 games.

Let’s delve into the pertinent details and find out how he can make a difference on Oats’ team right out of the gate in 2022.

How will he make an impact?

With its second blue-chip recruit in the cycle, the Crimson Tide improved its recruiting ranking, taking it from outside of the top-50 to inside the top-20.

Miller could replace Jaden Shackelford on the depth chart if Shackelford were to move on to the NBA. The tricky situation will be if he decides not to stay. Five-star prospects are often thought of as one-and-done players, so what will happen if Miller gets to town and Shackelford is in his spot?

I would think that Oats would start the best guy for the job, and I believe that guy would be Miller. Miller has a fantastic skill set, his best work is done around the rim. He’s in the process of improving his deep shot, but his mid-range game isn’t terrible.

His addition will make a big impact next season.
