This past weekend, over a dozen highly ranked high school football players from around the country announced their college commitments, including seven recruits with a four-star rating. Here’s a review of who they are and where they are going.

In-state athlete BJ Gibson was previously committed to play baseball at Tennessee. Now he has reopened his recruitment.

The Georgia Bulldogs are among the top schools for in-state athlete BJ Gibson. Gibson decommitted from the Tennessee Volunteers baseball program on Jan. 23.

Gibson stars in football and baseball for Wilcox County High School in Rochelle, Georgia.

He is a four-star athlete. He is the No. 301 player in the country and the No. 26 athlete. Gibson is the No. 39 football recruit in Georgia.

The 6-foot, 170-pound recruit has great speed and acceleration. Gibson primarily plays wide receiver for Wilcox County. He shows good body control.

Gibson is a smooth athlete. He times the snap count to get fast releases off the line of scrimmage. He is a deep threat and does a lot of damage on screen plays.

Will Gibson pick football or baseball? He could play both sports in college. He is a highly rated baseball recruit. Gibson has gone on recent visits to Florida and Florida State.

BJ Gibson’s top schools are Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, FSU, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Stanford, Kentucky, USF, Northwestern, Georgia Southern, LSU and South Carolina.

Tennessee makes top-13 for 4-star wide receiver BJ Gibson

Tennessee is one of 13 schools for four-star wide receiver BJ Gibson. Gibson is a top-50 wide receiver in the class of 2024.

Four-star wide receiver BJ Gibson announced his top-13 schools on Friday.

Tennessee, LSU, South Carolina, Georgia Southern, Northwestern, South Florida, Auburn, Florida State, Stanford, Kentucky, Florida, Georgia Tech and Georgia are Gibson’s top-13 schools.

The 6-foot, 170-pound wide receiver is from Wilcox County High School in Rochelle, Georgia.

Gibson is the No. 332 overall prospect in the class of 2024. He ranks as the No. 50 wide receiver and No. 43 player in the state of Georgia, according to the On3 Sports industry rankings.

He earned first-team All-Region and first-team All-State honors last season. Gibson finished his junior season with 70 receptions, 1,387 receiving yards, 16 receiving touchdowns and averaged 19.8 yards per reception.

Gibson was committed to Tennessee to play baseball, but announced plans to reopen his recruitment on Jan. 23.

4-star 2025 wide receiver gets offer, sets visit date with Florida

The Gators will get a visit in early March from this 4-star wide receiver.

Billy Napier and Co. are cranking away on the college football recruiting trail with the sports’ offseason now in full swing. While plenty of time is being spent helping the class of 2023 settle in on campus, the program continues to move forward in search of the best and brightest to play in the Swamp.

Last Thursday, the Gators extended a scholarship offer to four-star wide receiver [autotag]BJ Gibson[/autotag] out of Rochelle (Georgia) Wilcox County. On Monday morning, the 6-foot, 170-pound pass-catcher told Gators Online’s Corey Bender that he plans on visiting the University of Florida’s campus on March 4.

“I was excited to receive my 10th SEC offer from Florida,” Gibson told Bender. “Florida has always been a school I looked forward to getting an offer from. Coach Colbert has produced some big-name receivers through his time coaching wideouts.

“I will be looking forward to getting on campus to see how great Gainesville is. Coach Napier is going to put together a great program in the oncoming years.”

Florida is not the only school in pursuit of the talented high school sophomore, who also holds offers from the Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies, Auburn Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, Florida State Seminoles and Kentucky Wildcats among many others.

Gibson is ranked No. 221 overall and No. 27 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 consensus has him at Nos. 221 and 35, respectively. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has the ‘Dawgs out front for his services with a 38.5% chance of landing him, while Florida State, Tennessee and Kentucky follow behind at 17.7%, 15.1% and 12.6%, respectively.
