The Buffalo Bills might soon find a John Brown replacement and it could be another veteran wideout.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, it’s a bit of a tricky situation. Buffalo is talking to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. However, he’s still a member of the New Orleans Saints.
Here’s Pelissero’s explanation:
The #Bills are in serious talks with WR Emmanuel Sanders, as @danfetes said. The #Saints haven’t officially released Sanders yet — that’s expected sometime after 4 p.m. Wednesday for cap reasons — but they announced the move today and it appears headed towards a deal in Buffalo

Sanders, 33, signed with the Saints last year, but as mentioned, still has yet to be cut. In 14 games last season, Sanders hauled in 61 catches for 726 yards and five touchdowns.
Considering his age, Sanders isn’t the product he once was. However, he is still the type of vertical threat the Bills lacked without Brown in the lineup.
Brown was cut by the Bills last week.
If the Bills do eventually add Sanders, it wouldn’t be the most-shocking move. In the past, Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane has admitted that he tried to add Sanders. On one occasion, he was in talks with Sanders but then 30 minutes later, a trade for Stefon Diggs happened. Now things come full circle and the two are teammates instead.
