The Buffalo Bills might be playing the Arizona 49ers on Monday Night Football next week.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Sunday, the 49ers (5-6) need to find a home away from home in San Francisco ahead of facing the Bills (8-3) next week and the likely spot is Arizona Cardinals’ home in Glendale.

Santa Clara County where the 49ers play has new COVID-19 restrictions. Those banned all contact sports and mandated a 14-day quarantine for anyone traveling into the area from 150 miles away.

So per reports, the answer appears to be State Farm Stadium in Arizona. In addition to Arizona, the answer could be in Texas as well, but Rap Sheet believes the answer will be Arizona.

When the Buffalo Bills’ 2020 schedule was released, undoubtedly one of the toughest games circled was their meeting against the San Francisco 49ers on the road, under the light of Monday Night Football.

Now, not so much.

The 49ers have had a slew of injuries this season, including the loss of pass rusher Nick Bosa and others on defense. Now two keys on offense join that list.

San Francisco (4-4) is likely to be without quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and their best playmaker, tight end George Kittle, when the Bills (6-2) come to town.

For the second time this season, Garoppolo suffered an ankle injury. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Garoppolo could miss up to six weeks. The Bills play the 49ers in just over a month from now on Dec. 7 in Week 12.

In Kittle’s case, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the dynamic tight end might not play again this season. He had a broken bone revealed in his foot.

Without Garoppolo, the defending NFC Champions would either have Nick Mullens or CJ Beathard under center. At tight end, backups include Ross Dwelley and sixth-round rookie Charlie Woerner for the 49ers.

NFL news: 49ers DEs Nick Bosa, Soloman Thomas done for year

The Buffalo Bills have the San Francisco 49ers defense on their schedule later this season, but that daunting task just got significantly easier following some huge injury news.

The 49ers announced on Monday that last season’s Defensive Rookie of the Year, pass rusher Nick Bosa, tore his ACL. His season is done. The Bills are scheduled to visit the 49ers in Week 13 for a Monday Night Football contest.

Bosa had nine sacks and a forced fumble last season.

Per Niners Wire, Bosa’s knee got twisted around when he got blocked on a run play and he was carted off. In addition, another  defensive lineman, Soloman Thomas, was also carted off in Week 2  and also tore an ACL. Season = over as well. In response, free agent defensive end Ziggy Ansah has since signed with the 49ers as a replacement.

The 49ers are among the most injury-struck teams in the league early this year. In Week 2 alone, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and running back Rheem Mostert also went down with injury, but they’ll only be out a few weeks.

Prior to their second game against the Jets on Sunday, the 49ers entered the game without tight end George Kittle, defensive lineman Dee Ford, cornerback Richard Sherman and wide receiver Deebo Samuel, all due to injury.

The 49ers still handled the Jets easily for the win and San Francisco is 1-1 this season.

ESPN sets ‘Monday Night Football’ crew for Bills’ 2020 brace

Who will be the new commentators on the call when the Buffalo Bills play on Monday Night Football in 2020?

The Buffalo Bills have to wait until the later stages of the 2020 NFL regular season before they’ll be on Monday Night Football. But the more, the merrier, right?

In a bit of a surprise when schedules were dropped earlier this offseason, the Bills landed four primetime games on their slate. One on Thursday Night Football, another on Sunday Night Football and then two on ESPN’s end of football week extravaganza.

When those two games are played on Monday for the Bills, we now know who exactly is going to be feeding us the story. ESPN recently pegged a new broadcast crew for the booth for the upcoming season after an offseason of rumors and speculation.

The world-wide leader will have Steve Levy serve as a play-by-play announcer with former NFL players Louis Riddick and Brian Griese providing color commentary, according to USA TODAY’s Chris Bumbaca. Levy has been with ESPN for 27 years. Riddick has been with the network since 2013 and Griese has been with ESPN since 2009.

But as referenced, we’ll have other announcing crews for quite a while first. Buffalo’s two Monday Night Football contests are scheduled for Week 13 at the 49ers and then in Week 16, also on the road, against the Patriots.
