Beyonce to perform at halftime of the Ravens vs. Texans Christmas Day game on Netflix

The Ravens and Texans will meet next month at NRG Stadium, the first NFL game on Netflix.

With the streaming giant looking to have a massive audience, Netflix announced Beyoncé will perform during the halftime show for its first NFL Christmas Gameday.

It’s expected to be the first time she plays songs from her 11-time Grammy-nominated Cowboy Carter album live.

Your early Christmas wish has been granted as Beyoncé will perform during Netflix’s first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday live on Netflix this December 25. The performance will take place during the second of Netflix’s two games, as the Houston Texans host the Baltimore Ravens at NRG Stadium at 4:30 PM ET.

This performance in her hometown of Houston, Texas, produced by her company, Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment, will be the first live performance of songs from her genre-bending and record-breaking COWBOY CARTER, album. The 11-time Grammy-nominated, juggernaut recently became the most nominated album by a female artist.

Beyonce previously headlined Super Bowl XLVII on February 3, 2013, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was joined onstage by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, her bandmates in Destiny’s Child. The performance became the second most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in history.

For Super Bowl L, on February 7, 2016, Beyonce performed with Coldplay and Bruno Mars in Santa Clara, California, for one of the most-watched Super Bowl halftime shows, with 115.5 million tuned to see her perform “Formation.”

The streaming giant has announced NFL games for 2025 and 2026. This season, Netflix is the global home of the NFL’s two Christmas Day marquee games: The Super Bowl LVII-winning Kansas City Chiefs will face the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 PM ET, and the Baltimore Ravens will take on the Houston Texans at 4:30 PM ET.

The Netflix Christmas Day games will air on broadcast TV in the competing team cities and be available on U.S. mobile devices with NFL+.

Beyonce to play halftime show of Ravens-Texans on Christmas Day

Beyonce will be the halftime act on Christmas when the Ravens are at the Texans

That is because Beyonce, yes that Beyonce, will be the halftime act on Christmas.

So, you have a network that couldn’t figure out the technology to let people watch the boxing match broadcasting a football game on Christmas with Super Bowl halftime star Beyonce as the guest.

Beyoncé didn’t ultimately show up at the 2024 Democratic National Convention despite speculation

Well, Beyoncé didn’t end up performing at the 2024 DNC after all.

Despite heavy speculation of a possible appearance, music superstar Beyoncé didn’t ultimately make an appearance at Thursday night’s 2024 Democratic National Convention finale.

Apparently, she was never on the slate to begin with for the event.

“Beyoncé was never scheduled to be there,” Beyoncé’s representative told The Hollywood Reporter. “The report of a performance is untrue.”

A possible appearance made lots of sense in theory once word spread of a surprise guest to close out the 2024 DNC. Beyoncé gave the green light for Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris to use the song “Freedom” for her and Tim Walz’s campaign.

Outside of Beyoncé’s support for the Barack Obama presidential campaigns, the music megastar campaigned for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and endorsed the Joe Biden/Kamala Harris presidential ticket in 2020.

While it’s very much still possible Beyoncé will support the Harris/Walz ticket before Election Day, a DNC appearance wasn’t to be.

All signs point to Beyoncé as the 2024 Democratic National Convention’s surprise guest on its final night

It sure looks like Beyoncé will make a surprise appearance on the final night of the 2024 DNC.

To close out the 2024 Democratic National Convention, a special guest has been tipped for the final night.

After CNN reported that a block of time during the 2024 DNC’s final night had been reserved for a surprise appearance, lots of guesses filled the air as to who it might be.

Well, all signs point to it being Beyoncé, who has given the green light for Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris to use the song “Freedom” for her and Tim Walz’s campaign.

Outside of Beyoncé’s support for the Barack Obama presidential campaigns, the music megastar campaigned for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and endorsed the Joe Biden/Kamala Harris presidential ticket in 2020.

Two big hints came on Thursday afternoon after Rep. Fentrice Driskell filmed a band practicing Beyoncé’ songs on the DNC stage and White House Political Director Emmy Ruiz shared a bee emoji, which hints to the “Queen Bey” nickname and the “Beyhive” of Beyoncé fans.

We’ll know soon enough once the final night of the DNC kicks off in Chicago at the United Center, one where Harris will formally accept her party’s nomination for president and deliver her keynote address.

Former Panthers CB, comedian Lou Young: Panthers need Cam Newton back

Ex-Panthers CB Lou Young compared former teammate Cam Newton to Michael Jordan and Beyoncé.

So, how can the Carolina Panthers get themselves a prime-time game? Well, if we don’t want to wait for the hard way, an old friend may have just laid down an easy track.

Former cornerback and current comedian Lou Young was featured as the guest host for last week’s episode of 4th & 1 with Cam Newton. When talking about the Panthers’ lack of national exposure this upcoming season, Young brought up Carolina’s glory days with Newton—whom he compared to Michael Jordan and Beyoncé.

“It ain’t been a lot of glitz and glamour since . . . since that 1 left,” he said. “I’m not trying to stir up no controversy. I’m just telling you, I had one of the greatest experiences of a lifetime.”

Young shared a locker room with Newton from 2014 to 2016, a run that featured Cam’s MVP campaign and the team’s trip to Super Bowl 50 in 2015. The Washington, D.C. native and Georgia Tech product appeared in six games for the Panthers in 2016.

He went on.

“Wake up and smell the coffee, man,” Young added. “I know it cost a lot to get this guy. I guarantee you . . . if Cam walk on the field, if they promise Charlotte, North Carolina, South Mint, The Bank—if they promise them Cam Newton is gonna be there Game 1, they might have a prime-time game.”

Yes We Cam 2024 . . . ?

SNL brought back Beyonce on Hot Ones with Maya Rudolph making the funniest faces

This is too funny.

The memes that come out of Hot Ones — in which celebrities do interviews while eating the spiciest of hot sauces — are always priceless.

So of course Saturday Night Live had to do a sendup of the internet show. And with the hilarious Maya Rudolph back hosting on Saturday, they brought back a sketch they did a few years ago, with Mikey Day as Sean Evans and Rudolph playing Beyoncé, who eats wings and starts to melt down.

You can watch both of them below, with the newest edition first that gets wilder with every hot sauce. This is too funny:

Charles Barkley apologized to Beyoncé’s mom for roasting her hometown before roasting it again

Barkley simply couldn’t help himself from immediately roasting Galveston again.

During a recent segment on Inside the NBA, TNT’s Charles Barkley went on an all-time rant about the New Orleans Pelicans.

Shaquille O’Neal casually asked Barkley where the Pelicans were headed once they get eliminated by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the playoffs.

While he likely assumed that his co-host would just say Cancun in Mexico, Barkley instead said something dramatically different that made everyone on set laugh hysterically.

Barkley said that the Pelicans should just drive to Galveston.

He proceeded to roast the quality of the water on he coastal city in Southeastern Texas.

Barkley may not have thought much about the place he decided to insult before he said it on the air. But someone who did think about it quite a bit was Tina Knowles, whose daughter is Beyoncé.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6UH7p5vXG9/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=d3df3418-ff3b-43ce-95bb-358685573bf4

Here is what Tina said on Instagram:

“Chuck we don’t play about Galveston Texas ! You better watch it sucker! 😂😂Our water might not be blue , but it is still the beach and we love it! In fact , what you probably don’t Know is It’s an Island !! Yes me and @angiebeyince still rock our BOI necklaces ( Born On The Island) 😂😂😂. Jay sent this to me and Angie B Yesterday ! He asked us if we’re gonna let him talk about our city like that! 😂😂😂All Good @charleswbarkley we got a great laugh. So yal don’t start no S___T”

Knowles said that “we don’t play” about Galveston and that Barkley better watch out.

She also added that she “got a great laugh” about the roast, so it was all in good fun.

Just to be safe, rather than upset the fans of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Barkley offered a formal apology to Knowles.

“Ms. Knowles: I don’t want that smoke. I don’t want the Beehive and Jay after Chuck. Just know that I apologize.”

But when asked by Ernie Johnson how he liked Galveston now, Barkley immediately said we’re not going there.

Instead of wiping the slate clean, he said he would never go on vacation there and that he would rather visit San Antonio.

Barkley simply couldn’t help himself from immediately roasting Galveston again.

Beyoncé sending Dawn Staley flowers has hoops fans creating magnificent memes

South Carolina is officially in the Bey Hive, and hoops fans created some absolutely hilarious memes

After Beyoncé sent Dawn Staley flowers to congratulate her and South Carolina on their immaculate season, hoops fans realized that Beyoncé had been watching the whole time and responded with magnificent memes.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: WE ARE NOT TALKING ENOUGH ABOUT SOUTH CAROLINA’S UNDEFEATED SEASON. Apparently, Beyoncé likely feels the same way and recently sent Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks their proverbial and literal flowers.

Dawn was so pumped that she shared precious videos to X (Formerly Twitter) of her thanking Beyoncé and celebrating the certified stamp of approval that one of the biggest celebrities on the planet gave to South Carolina.

Right on cue, hoops fans immediately made a colossal realization: Beyoncé had seen all the wildly impressive things South Carolina did to win a national championship. They responded with some hysterically creative memes and tweets.

Here’s some of the best we found:

Dawn Staley delivered a heartfelt message to Beyoncé for sending her flowers and swag

Dawn Staley is so lucky that Beyoncé is one of her biggest fans.

A Hall of Famer and perennial championship coach with South Carolina, Dawn Staley is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures in basketball.

In fact, Staley is so influential that she’s now got one very appreciative super-fan: Beyoncé.

On Wednesday, Staley posted a video to her Twitter account revealing that the superstar singer sent her beautiful flowers, swag, and a message about how closely she followed Staley and South Carolina throughout this past entire season. It’s clear that Beyoncé put a lot of effort and thought into her appreciation of Staley.

Needless to say, Staley was jubilant to get her literal flowers from one of the greatest entertainers of all time.

Does it get any better than two respective legends in their fields coming together like this? What an awesome gesture from Beyoncé.
