  • The Falcons won the Week 10 meeting in New Orleans by a 26-9 score to snap a six-game losing streak.
  • The Saints are 13-1 when intercepting at least one pass since the start of last season. Falcons QB Matt Ryan has 10 INTs on the year.
  • New Orleans is 27-2 when scoring 22 or more points since the start of the 2017 campaign.
  • The Falcons have scored 22.0 points per game this season, but they rank 28th in the NFL with 27.0 points allowed per game. The Saints score 24.7 and allow 20.9 per game.
  • The Saints are tied for fourth with a turnover differential of plus-8. The Falcons are 27th at minus-8.

Falcons TE Austin Hooper (knee) and RB Devonta Freeman (foot) remain week-to-week.

Prediction

Saints 24, Falcons 20

Moneyline (?)

The Falcons (+220) are home underdogs but the number is lower than it should be following the Week 10 upset. The SAINTS (-278) are getting a higher number than they should.

Atlanta is just 1-4 at home and coming off a 35-22 embarrassment at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints are 4-1 on the road and they beat the Carolina Panthers 34-31 Sunday. Take the visitors, though a $10 bet for the outright win will return a profit of just $3.60.

Against the Spread (?)

The FALCONS (+6.5, –110) are being spotted a touchdown at home and the hook is key here as they’ll need to stay within six points for the cover. The Saints are 7-4 against the spread overall, but cover by an average of just 0.6 points per game.

Back the home side with a backdoor cover keeping them within six points in defeat.

Over/Under (?)

Take the UNDER 49.5 (-106). The number is the highest on the three-game Thursday slate. Each of the last two and four of the last five head-to-head meetings fell short of that number. New Orleans is 6-5 against the Over/Under but falls an average of 1.3 points shy of the projection. Atlanta is 4-7 and falls one point below the projections on average.

Buffalo Bills at Dallas Cowboys odds, picks and best bets

Previewing the Buffalo Bills at Dallas Cowboys Week 13 Thanksgiving Day matchup, with NFL betting odds, picks and best bets

[jwplayer 13LaLriA]

The surging Buffalo Bills (8-3) travel to AT&T Stadium to play the Dallas Cowboys (6-5) at 4:30 p.m. ET Thursday as the second game during Thanksgiving action. We analyze the Bills-Cowboys odds and betting lines, while providing sports betting picks and tips.

Buffalo at Dallas: Week 13 preview, betting trends and notes

  • The total has hit the under is six of Buffalo’s last seven road games.
  • The total has hit the over in five of the Cowboys last seven games.
  • Buffalo is 9-3-1 against the spread in its last 13 games and 7-3-1 this season.
  • Dallas is 7-4 against the spread this season.
  • Buffalo is third in the league in points allowed per game (15.7), while Dallas is seventh, allowing 19.1 points per game.
  • The Cowboys are 0-4 against teams they played who had a winning record at the time. They’re 6-1 in games against teams that had losing records.

Buffalo at Dallas: Key injuries

Given the short week, teams are only doing walk-through practices, but Buffalo listed OL Ty Nsekhe (ankle) as the only starter who didn’t practice.

For Dallas, LB Leighton Vander Esch (neck) isn’t expected to play, DT Antwaun Woods (knee) didn’t practice and three starting offensive linemen – La’el Collins (knee/back), Zach Martin (back/ankle/elbow) and Connor Williams (knee) were limited.

Buffalo at Dallas: Odds, betting lines and prediction

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. ET.

Prediction

Dallas 20, Buffalo 16

Moneyline (?)

The Cowboys (-304) are a prohibitive favorite despite their recent struggles. Buffalo (+240) is getting a nice return on investment, so, if you are to bet this at all a small bet on Buffalo and looking for an upset in what looks to be a tight, defense-dominated game would be the call, even though we’ll avoid it because we think Dallas will win and 1:3 return is just too low.

Against the Spread (?)

For a team who hasn’t beaten a team with a winning record, Dallas is still the betting favorite laying 6½ points (-121), while Buffalo is even money getting 6½. The Cowboys have the weapons to blow the game out, but Josh Allen can make enough plays to get Buffalo in scoring position often enough to keep the game close. Take Buffalo plus the 6½ points.

Over/Under (?)

The total is 44½ points (-110 on both the over and under) and Dallas has a history of hitting the over at home this year. While Buffalo hasn’t faced a very tough schedule, it does have a history of playing the good teams tight. 44½ is about right for the kind of game we’re expecting, so the under in a Zeke Elliott dominated game plan is the bet to make as both teams struggle to find the end zone with regularity.

Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions odds, picks and best bets

Previewing Thursday’s Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions Thanksgiving sports betting odds and lines, with NFL betting picks, tips and best bets.

[jwplayer 13LaLriA]

The Detroit Lions (3-7-1) host another Thanksgiving game. This year, they take on the NFC North rival Chicago Bears (5-6). The game kicks off at 12:30 p.m. ET Thurday at Ford Field in Detroit.

Bears at Lions: Week 13 preview, betting trends and notes

  • The Lions have lost four straight games and are winless in the division this season.
  • Ten of the Lions’ 11 games this season have been decided by one score.
  • The Bears have given up fewer than 20 points in four of their last five games.
  • Chicago averages only 1.9 touchdowns per game.
  • Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky has only 10 touchdown passes this season.
  • Lions QB Jeff Driskel has four touchdown passes and four interceptions in three starts.

Special NFL Thanksgiving Prop Bet!

BET $1, WIN $200 (in free bets) at BetMGM in New Jersey if any NFL team scores a touchdown Thursday, Nov. 28th, 2019. Bet now!

Bears at Lions: Key injuries

The Lions will be without starting QB Matthew Stafford (back). His replacement, QB Jeff Driskel (hamstring) has missed practice time. DE Trey Flowers (concussion) and WR Marvin Hall (foot) could miss the game.

Bears TE Ben Braunecker (concussion), WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion), RT Bobby Massie (ankle) and LB Danny Trevathan (elbow) could miss the game.

Bears at Lions: Odds, betting lines and prediction

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday at 10 a.m. ET.

Prediction

Bears 19, Lions 10

Moneyline (?)

With the Lions having lost four in a row and with Driskel playing quarterback, it doesn’t make sense to take them at +115, even though it is a better value than the Bears. The BEARS have been disappointing this season but they should be a slam dunk for the win at -139.

A $10 bet on the Bears will net $7.19 in profit with an outright win.

Against the Spread (?)

The Bears are favored by 2.5 points. The Lions are guaranteed to be in a close game, but they have not been a good bet, having covered the spread in only four of 11 games this season. The Bears haven’t been much better, covering only three times. That said, the Bears have covered in seven of the last 10 games against the Lions. They have the defense and the Lions have a backup quarterback. Take the BEARS (-2.5, -115).

Over/Under (?)

The total is set at 39.5 points. In 11 games this season for the Bears, the total has hit the Under in eight. It is a short week. The Lions will struggle against the Bears defense. and the Bears offense is bad. Take the UNDER 39.5 (-121).
