Michigan State Basketball a 9.5-point favorite over Virginia Tech

MSU will be a decent favorite over Virginia Tech in the Quarterfinal of the Maui Invitational.

Michigan State Men’s Basketball is currently in Hawaii for the Maui Invitational and they are facing Virginia Tech as 9.5-point favorites. Michigan State is 3-1 and number 3 overall in the Amway Coaches Poll. Virginia Tech is 5-0 and unranked as of now.

Virginia Tech has been shooting the ball extremely well this season so this could be a highly contested game, but one that MSU will be expected to win.

Falcons open as 4.5-point favorites over the Buccaneers in Week 12

The Falcons have looked like a completely different team since coming out of their Week 9 bye. After winning two straight games in dominant fashion, head coach Dan Quinn seems to have figured things out for the time being.

In Week 12, Atlanta plays its third straight game against an NFC South opponent when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers come to Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday.

The Bucs are 3-7, but appear to be trending in the opposite direction during the team’s first year under head coach Bruce Arians. Quarterback Jameis Winston has thrown for an impressive 3,078 yards and 19 touchdown passes, but has also thrown 18 interceptions and has 22 total turnovers in 2019.

The folks over at Bet MGM currently have the Falcons as 4.5-point favorites over Tampa Bay in Week 12, with the over/under for the game set at 51.5.

Atlanta hasn’t been favored to win a game in awhile, but after allowing just 12 points combined over the past two weeks — with four interceptions and 11 sacks — the oddsmakers have finally come around.

We will see if the Falcons can come away with a third straight victory over an NFC South opponent on Sunday.

Falcons are 5.5-point underdogs vs. Panthers in Week 11

The folks over at Bet MGM have the Panthers as 5.5-point favorites over the Falcons Week 11, with the over/under set at 49.5.

The Falcons earned their second win of the season last week against the heavily-favored Saints in New Orleans. After making some minor coaching changes during the bye week, Atlanta’s defense dominated up front, sacking Drew Brees six times.

The team will look to keep the momentum going when it takes on another divisional foe in the 5-4 Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

The folks over at Bet MGM have the Panthers as 5.5-point favorites over the Falcons in Week 11, with the over/under set at 49.5.

It isn’t surprising that Carolina is favored. Running back Christian McCaffrey has been a one-man show this season, making a legitimate case for the 2019 MVP award.

With starting QB Cam Newton out for the season, Panthers backup Kyle Allen has played well above expectations. Allen has cooled off a bit in recent weeks, though.

Carolina has slowed down since winning four straight games, and has lost two of its last three.

This could be the perfect chance for the Falcons to win their second straight NFC South matchup and keep their extremely thin playoff chances alive for another week.
