Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola named to 247Sports Top Ten list

The Nebraska quarterback joins a list of the nation’s best.

Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola was ranked tenth on Clint Brewster’s top ten quarterbacks in college football rankings. The 247Sports analyst had him on a list that included the likes of Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers, and Shedeur Sanders.

Raiola’s college career is off to a solid start. Through two games, the quarterback has 423 yards and three touchdowns en route to a 2-0 start.

Raiola has had a solid couple of weeks. From being named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, to appearing on this list, the quarterback is getting his due. It would be fair to temper expectations for now, especially since it’s the beginning of the season. However, these accolades are certainly a step in the right direction.

Trevor Lawrence reacts to ‘Tank for Trevor’

What does it feel like to be a college football player and to have millions of NFL fans already obsessed with you? We find out here…

Is your favorite NFL team already seeing their season go down the drain just three weeks in?

Perhaps you’re a fan of a team like the New York Jets who have all kinds of questions at quarterback despite drafting USC product Sam Darnold third overall in 2018.

The name you keep hearing and understandably so in regards to the future of the quarterback position in the NFL is none other than Clemson junior signal-caller, Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence has already stated that he plans to go to the NFL after this season and most think he’s an easy selection to become the first overall pick as he’ll leave college with as more hype than any quarterback since at least Andrew Luck.

The “Tank for Trevor” campaigns going on with Jets fans and elsewhere around the league however just make the Heisman Trophy contender laugh.

“I try to ignore it as much as possible,” Lawrence said. “Obviously, if you’re on social media at all, you can’t help but see some of it. It’s just funny.”

Lawrence added that with the ever-changing NFL that the fans he hears “Tank for Trevor” from are ever-changing.

“It’s a new team every week, so I don’t think there’s any real insight into what’s going to happen,” Lawrence said. “It’s a long season – there have only been three games in the NFL and we’re on our third game. I mean it’s kind of interesting to see all the stuff that comes to me.”

Lawrence and No. 1 Clemson welcome Virginia to town this weekend for the second ACC game of the year for the Tigers.  Meanwhile their matchup at Notre Dame on November 7 is setting up to be one of college football’s most anticipated games of the fall.
