NFL free agency has died down, and we’re just heading into the meat of the 2023 draft, so it’s an interesting time to see just where we stand on all kinds of football subjects. This week, 4-Down Territory hosts Kyle Madson of Niners Wire and Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar get into all kinds of things from big-time pro days to which remaining free agents should be signed to which rules proposals should be approved at the owners meetings.

Best available free agent fits for Raiders after day two

We’re now through two days of the free agency negotiating period. Here is who has been added thus far:

QB Jimmy Garoppolo
S Marcus Epps
CB Brandon Facyson
WR Jakobi Meyers
WR Phillip Dorsett
LB Robert Spillane

Along with those additions, the team traded away tight end Darren Waller, thus adding one more need to the already long list of team needs. Especially with Foster Moreau also a free agent.

A few of those needs were addressed over the past couple days. Though perhaps not to the extent that they have solved the need and can dust their hands off until the draft.

There are still other needs to fill and more free agents out there to fill them. This is my list of best available free agent fits for the Raiders after day two.

Best available free agents for Raiders needs after Day 1 of free agency

We ranked the best available free agent fits for Raiders needs as we head for day two

With the advent of the free agent negotiating period, the waves of free agency occur days before free agency actually opens. The first day of which was Monday.

The big names came flying off the board on day one, which can be tough for many fans to watch as the players they dreamt would be suiting up for their team are lost to the wind.

There were three additions by the Raiders on Day 1

CB Brandon Facyson

These signings are helpful, but there are still a lot of needs on this team, many of which could do well to be filled via free agency.

Even with all the signings on day one, the cupboard isn’t bare as we head into day two.
